Mt. Fuji is the star of this show. The nearby shrine has a great view - and 400 stairs to get there! It’s worth waiting for a spot on the viewing platform. Otherwise there will be lots of others in your shots. My guide suggested a boat trip. Which I was up for. What I wasn’t expecting was a speedboat! A fun way to spend 40 minutes. If visiting Mt. Fuji note that Sundays are a hugely popular day so plan to be surrounded by lots of other visitors.

First our driver wanted to pick us up at 6:00 am instead of the agreed upon 8:00. Having just arrived from the USA and in need of food and coffee, we were able to agree upon 6:30 so that we could rush through breakfast. No one has control of the weather so I’m not blaming the rain on the tour guide, however l, he really wasn’t a tour guide, more like a driver. He spoke very little and when he did, he was hard to understand and hear. His vehicle was also in need of repair as the noise coming from the breaks was irritating and a little nerve racking. Then there was his occasional speeding way above the speed limit.

Had a great time with Usman Rana, despite the rain. He took us to all the spots we wanted to go to, and he was very efficient in getting us around. Would definitely recommend over a tour bus with a set itinerary

We had a perfect day at Mt. Fuji. The driver, Heider, contacted us via WhatsApp the night before and recommended that instead of the original 6am time that we live early at 5:30am as it was a holiday in Japan and it would allow us to beat any traffic and avoid the crowds. So glad that we followed the advice. Each location was not very busy and we had no traffic at all. If you can go as early as possible. Heider was pleasant, kind, and took some great family pictures for us. I would highly recommend!

Highly recommend booking this tour! It was a fantastic day and our tour guide moon was so helpful. He made sure we were comfortable, was very knowledgeable of the area, and took some amazing photos for us. We had ample time to sightsee, shop, and grab se lunch....was a great way to spend the day and we got an amazing view of Mt fuji!!

The private full day tour was the perfect choice for us. Moon was a wonderful guide. He contacted us about starting earlier than originally planned to avoid traffic, and this was the best choice to for congestion on the road and on the mountain. He was an excellent driver. He shared his knowledge about the history of Mt Fuji and the surrounding temples, shrines and lakes. We enjoyed the Oishi ice cream and a lovely lunch. Thank you Moon! It was a great day!

Driver did not follow itinerary. Claimed we had to head back at 2pm to reach tokyo by 6 because of new years eve. Missed multiple itinerary stops including 5th station. Left fuji area around 320 and got back by 520 including stop for driver to get caffeine drink driver spoke limited English..

Said they weren’t available to come because of incident with car. Viator won’t refund because they said the tour company offered to reschedule for tomorrow- they don’t consider that a cancellation. RIdiculous. we are leaving tomorrow. Don't use this company or VIATOR. Probably have been scammed. Will block charge with credit card company.

This is a scam, do not book. They take the booking, then call at 6am (not text so there is no proof) and say the car has broken down so can't come. Then when you claim the refund they deny and say you didn't show up, and Viator won't refund the $600. This was our experience yesterday with Ali and have now found othersnwho have had the exact same issue.
How is this allowed by a company like Viator in 2025 - incredible.

Our tour was approximately 8-10 hours. Our tour guide from start already said if we pass 8 hours we will be charged 5,000 yen. We ended up rushing and skipping some sites. When we arrived at the Gotemba Outlet, he just parked the vehicle in the parking lot instead of dropping us off to the drop off area where the other tourists bus are. Two of us are using walking cane and he was so inconsiderate and not at all accommodating. He also rushed us to come back by 1pm giving us just 1 hour to eat and shop. The parking was so far it took us 20 mins to and from the parking so we ended up just eating. I’ve always booked my tour through Viator and always been satisfied with the service but this is the WORST experience I ever had.

Mian was a great guide. Courteous and knowledgeable. Saw Mt Fuji from a couple of different vantage points. View from the pagoda was worth the 400 stairs straight up.

You advertised an English speaking tour guide. He had just moved to Tokyo 2 years earlier from Pakistan. He had little knowledge of where he was to take us or the history of Japan. I was disappointed because he barely understood what we were asking It just so happened that I had a list of places he was to take us. He asked if he could take to where he thought was best rather than go by the itinerary. We agreed. The two places he took us, we had to pay. The Ice Cave and a Bat Cave. I ask that we be taken to some of the free places we had already paid for. He took us to 3 places and then it was time to go back to Tokyo. The guide was real nice but there was a language barrier. I was very disappointed.

We had a great trip with Ali. He had an itinerary planned for us but we were also able to stay longer at the lake to wait for the cloud to clear for Mount Fuji. This trip has been very flexible and Ali has been an informative and cheerful guide/driver

All is about the view. Our guide gave us many recommendations to maximize our experience in this trip. He is very flexible and always looking for the satisfaction of the customer. We did not have luck to view Mt Fiji. A lot of fog and weather conditions did give us the opportunity to see it but we will do it in a different time. As our guide said, if you will be in Tokyo many days do not book this tour yet until you arrive and ask about weather and visibility. That will increase your chances to have a much incredible experience.

I went on this tour with my teenage son. It was very flexible Khulaid advised us of peak times. We managed to avoid many of the crowds. We did a jet boat to see mt Fuji which was definitely recommended with uninterrupted views.

The private tour option is a very personal and convenient way to tour. Our guide was extremely responsive to communicate with and although the weather ultimately prevented us getting all the way to Mt Fuji our guide adapted to other locations in Tokyo
