Five Stars for the entire experience. We absolutely loved everything during , the ride, and our pilot Phil! I wanted to surprise my girlfriend, not knowing though she was afraid of heights. She was a trooper though and was open minded for this unique opportunity, so I was extremely pleased to know Phil had over 30 years of experience. He openly shared his knowledge of ballooning and stories from around the world. The crew also made the experience very smooth from start to finish! My girlfriend was very happy to have accepted my gift and taken a chance.

Really? What was not close to the advertisement? This was a shared basket ride Sheila. As I told you when you checked in, you could upgrade to a private flight if you wanted to. You said it was too much money. So you book a shared ride, take the flight, and then ding me in a review because you wanted a private flight at Viator’s discounted shared basket rate?!? You received everything we promise, including a longer and higher flight than most. Not cool - really. Yeah, I am breaking hospitality rule 101 folks. I am a small business owner and saw this coming from the moment the guest checked in. If we do something wrong, I will own it and try to make it right. This is someone who wanted a private flight at a discounted shared basket rate and made sure to punish us when I wouldn’t make it happen.

We absolutely loved the hot air balloon experience with Temecula Wine Country ballon ride. I’m not afraid of heights but my son is, he felt safe and enjoyed the ride too. Thank you Phil for taking us up in “World Peace”. The views were spectacular. Thank you Janet for the safe drive to the balloon and Starbucks run. We know or pictures and videos by Wesley will be phenomenal. He used a drone to capture our pictures in the air. And thank you to the young man who lifted us to the wind and brought us back down safely to land, you are appreciated….Pick this one. You will fully love the ride!

We were expecting beautiful views of the vineyards and mountains, but instead we drifted over residential areas and barren fields. No wildlife, no natural beauty, no view of the wineries.
Staff was nice but stated that weather conditions forced them to select an alternate launch site. I have no way to verify this. Still disappointed!

Danny - this feels like Deja vu. Not sure why we have two separate reviews from you for the same flight, but I am responding to both. As stated in our Viator deal page, anyone over 225 lbs. is subject to a $25 weight fuel surcharge when purchasing a discounted 3rd party fare. Due to Riverside County Health Department rules, we are only allowed to serve individually wrapped breakfast items/snacks. We provide an assortment of 4 different items, including keto, paleo, gluten free, and vegan. You did fly over the Temecula valley, sadly not the part of the valley covered in fog. Our flight path was determined by the wind and fog conditions that day. Not all days are sunny, but we do fly as long as it is legal and safe to do so. Too many people with birthdays and anniversaries and hotel stays locally for us to cancel just because the skies are cloudy. That would be more disappointing. Please come back and see us on a sunny day. You will feel better about your ride.

I wanted to share a special memory with my son. It was an anticipated event and we left quite disappointed. The location was not Temecula over vineyards, it was in Winchester over land plots and construction sites. We started late as we waited a long time for the company to set up so while all the others enjoyed a beautiful sunrise we saw them take off in shivering cold. The flight was choppy, my son got sick. It was also shorter than 45 mins.

Thank you for your review. Sorry you did not have a good time. Our launch sites are determined by the wind direction and speed. All the balloon companies launched from the same launch field that day. The delay wasn't because it took us too long to setup. We waited for guests who were running late and I realize that added to your frustration to not being the first balloon in the sky. However, we were all in the air at the same time, and we had the benefit of taking pictures with balloons in the background, both on the ground and in the air. Your flight time was 52 minutes as tracked by our flight app gps device. Sorry if it felt shorter than that. Time does fly in the basket! Our actual flight time is determined by how long it takes to get to our intended landing site. That is why we say "45 minutes to an hour". The winds make it an imperfect science. Please come back and see us. We'd like to improve the experience for you.

We purchased a private tour for a party of 3 with included breakfast/mimosas. I hadn't seen my dad in almost 15 years and we (eldest daughter w/ new fiance) were excited to catch up and share our big news on an amazing adventure! We were upcharged another $150+ on arrival to upgrade to "semi-private" rather than a "shared" tour. The lady organizing everything was really nasty and dismissive to us, argued that we booked through Viator and had no control over the details/price of our booking. She asked each person if they were celebrating something and didn't ask us. So after over $700 at this point we were smushed into the small group balloon basket with 6 other people, including a 2 man camera crew and 2 actors (also a single rider, the pilot and us 3). We weren't even able to turn around to face or talk to each other. We also couldn't talk over the actor's lines. We were also hit several times by the camera equipment. There was black condensation dripping on us throughout the trip which permanently stained our clothes. The included "breakfast" was a sandwich bag with a slim jim and some granola bars. The pilot was knowledgable and very skilled but he spoke to his crew with disrespect and anger. The only positives were the incredible view and finally spending time with my dad after so long. This was very falsely advertised, poorly organized and very uncomfortable.

We offer shared basket flight, semi-private flights, and private flights. You purchased a shared basket ride and chose to upgrade to a semi-private flight. You were on a balloon that was filming for a TV show and, although we informed you of this in advance, we apologize if that impacted your experience in any way. Yes, I did chastise the crew for walking up to the balloon during fllming and interrupting a scene. I didn't think I went Christian Bale on him, but I appreciate the feedback and how you perceived it. Our packages include the balloon ride itself, a champagne, juice, or mimosa toast, a selection of 4 individually wrapped breakfast items, free souviner pictures, a commemorative flight certificate and 2 for 1 wine tasting and other discounts to 6 local Temecula wineries. For those wanting a more substantial meal, we include a 15% discount to the Vineyard Rose restuarant at the elegant South Coast Winery Resort and Spa. Our hot air balloon ride had to be moved due to wind but it was still a great experience. I wouldn’t call it breakfast, more like snacks for after the ride. The team was very nice and the view was beautiful.

We now offer an assortment of individually wrapped breakfast items because of COVID concerns. We used to provide a common tray of bagels, cream cheese, and mixed fruit. The individually wrapped assortment of keto, paleo, gluten free, and vegan items actually cost us more to provide than the fruit and bagels, but sometimes we get dinged for it in the reviews. As part of our package, we also provide a 15% discount to the South Coast Vineyard Rose restaurant for those who want a more substantial meal. That is the best deal in the valley, even the South Coast employees only get a 10% discount.
