Itinerary

Be ready for pickup at your Sedona or Village of Oak Creek hotel. Bring layered clothing, as the desert temperature changes drastically after sunset.

Sit back in your comfortable tour vehicle and enjoy the drive through Oak Creek Canyon, one of the most scenic drives in the United States. Snap photos of the Painted Desert and the San Francisco Peaks in the Navajo Reservation.

Stop at the Cameron Trading Post, which dates back to the early 20th century and sells crafts from neighboring tribes. Grab a snack and enjoy views of the Little Colorado River gorge before heading on to the main attraction: the Grand Canyon National Park.

Stop at several overlooks along the south and east rim for photo opportunities of the changing light, then head to a scenic overlook to admire the sunset.

Savor an included dinner before heading back to Sedona. The tour concludes with drop-off back at your hotel.

We had a very full day, with several stops along the southern rim. Each stop had its own unique character, with the final location providing spectacular sunset views of the canyon. Our guide, Sheldon, provided a lot of information on the history, geology, flora and fauna of the area and timed our stops perfectly. The canyon experience was indescribable, more than I expected. We didn’t want to leave and stayed until the final sunset glow began to fade.

The weather was not cooperative. The tour operator changed up the tour as needed and it was a great experience.

Great time, beautiful scenery!

Amazing trip! So many places, so beautiful. Dinner was very good. Steve was very informative. Incredible sunset. One cannot understand the dynamic of the Grand Canyon without actually seeing it in person.

Great tour!

Lots of driving but the view was worth it!!! Brad was a great guide. Super knowledgeable on all things Arizona. We had a guest that was behind schedule but he made sure that we didn’t miss the sunset. I recommend this tour to see the Grand Canyon from Sedona . If you are going in December it is really cold and super windy so dress accordingly.

Incredible!

This was an amazing experience. Stevee (yes that's spelt correctly) was the best tour guide! He was very funny and knowledgeable. The stuff he knew blew us away. He took us to spots that were less crowded. He even pulled over in the pitch dark for us to get out and see the milky way. It was incredible. I would highly recommend this tour.

Great tour

Our guide Brad was a wealth of information. He made us all feel comfortable and was accommodating in every way. Seeing the Grand Canyon with your company allowed us to do a condensed version but touched on all the highlights.

Our first trip to the Grand Canyon. We enjoyed every moment. Learning about the Hopi, Navajo, clan and the Grand Canyon view. Kurt was an excellent guide. We didn't get to do the Sunset due to the weather, however we did a similar trip. It was worth it. I recommend this trip.

Rough start - great finish

Kimberly_D, May 2023
Brad was a great tour guide, providing a depth of understanding of the entire area from Sedona through Flagstaff to the Grand Canyon. We had a wonderful tour with our family. We truly appreciated Brad's professionalism in dealing with a very disruptive and critical man who left the tour, much to the relief of the remaining three groups , - who all had an amazing adventure. Viewing the Grand Canyon at sunset is beyond compare and Brad's insights into the Native American traditions and history made it even better.

Breathtaking Views

William_C, Sep 2022
This was a very fun, enjoyable, educational, and beautiful day! We couldn’t have asked for a more knowledgeable and personable guide. The scenery was breathtaking, the dinner delicious and the sunset beautiful!

Very misleading tour!

Karen_F, Aug 2022
Our guide was excellent, but the tour spent way too much time going out of the way to the Cameron trading post. Initially they stated the tour was at 10:00 am. The day before, we were notified departure would be 11:30. We did not arrive to the grand canyon until after 3:30. Literally 1/2 of our day gone! We were told when purchasing tickets we would have a choice as to where we eat inside the park. I told the rep then, we wanted to eat a healthy meal at a restaurant inside the park. She told me we will be able to choose wherever we want to eat as a group. We expected to eat in a restaurant! Instead the guide stopped at a convenience store just outside the park and strongly suggested we get our food here and picnic at the GC. No one wanted that! Then, we went to three quick stops inside the park to view the GC. Then it was time for dinner. We were then TOLD where we were going to eat! A bar! Food was terrible - just burgers/sandwiches. ALL very spicy! Only 2 sides offered-spicy cole slaw, spicy potato salad! CHEAP, CHEAP , CHEAP. There was a restaurant right there in the same building that was literally just a couple dollars more for a complete healthy meal. I ask the guide why can we not eat there? Too expensive he said! Seriously, $2 more? We paid $229 each for this trip, spent half the day driving out of the way to a rip off trading post, got to see 3 quick views of the canyon, then an inedible sandwich, and finally around 6:45 got to a view to spend 45 minutes viewing the canyon and sunset. That 45 minutes was magnificent!!! Then it was dark and back to the van for the 2 & 1/2 hr ride back to Sedona. Don’t take this tour if you want to see the grand canyon! Take a tour by another group that does not mislead you! This is a trading post tour with the GC sunset as a side note. Had we not had such a magnificent guide, who educated us about the entire area, we would have had a very boring day except for the little time we were viewing the grand canyon. This company needs to cut out the trading post and give people what they pay for! I cannot recommend! Our awesome guide needs to work for another company! Total time viewing the canyon was under 2 hrs out of a 10 hour day.

A day at the Grand Canyon with Brad

Russell_P, Aug 2022
Brad our guide. His knowledge of the area, people, and history of the Grand Canyon we're things we would not have know if we would have done a self guided tour.

Extraordinary!

Pam_B, Aug 2022

Steveebe is a walking or rather a driving encyclopedia. Great Guide. He really brought the trip to life.

Sunset on the Grand Canyon

Hank_G, May 2022
Every stop we made had it’s own beauty and experience. Watching the sun set against the walls of the Grand Canyon is beyond words. The changes in color was just magnificent! There is so many positive comments that could be made and so many beautiful pictures one can take, but they don’t compare to the experience of standing on the edge of the Grand Canyon.

Stunning scenery, extraordinary guide.

Tom_T, May 2022
Awesome scenery, and our guide was top notch. (Steve) His knowledge of the canyon and area in general was phenomenal.
