WHAT a great day! It was a long one, but totally worth it — there’s lots of driving to get places but you get to see so much of Iceland’s landscapes along the south coast and it’s totally worth seeing. Al was our driver guide and he was fantastic; loads of interesting info about Iceland, its landscape & history — he’s a credit to EastWest! Loved every minute

Long day due to need to...

Annette_L, Jul 2026
Long day due to need to retrace return to Reykjavik. Bring/wear layers due to rapid weather changes especially watetproof shoes and jacket. Plenty of pit stops and food stops along the way . Tour guide David informative and mindful of time. Places are beautiful and worth seeing

South Shore Day Tour

Johan was funny, friendly and informative. A full day, several major destinations were covered in a short period of time of this beautiful country.

Fun tour

anijadig, Nov 2024
Beautiful tour, Martin our guide was very entertaining and provided a lot of interesting facts and took good care of us. All the stops on the tour were magnificent! Highly recommend it! There was plenty of time given to discover the sights. For Glacier and black beach we had heavy winds which made it a bit of a challenge, but a part from the nature giving us a bit of hard time it was an awesome tour.

Fantastic full day trip to Southern Iceland

Tony was amazing. He made the day fun and interesting. We had a day we will never forget. I highly recommend this trip!

Grand landscape and fun facts in excellent company

Jules_E, May 2023
Our guide Almar made this incredibly scenic tour a warm, fun and engaging day. The list of stops listed here may seem unimpressive but it is in reality more than generous – many smaller stops and photo occasions encountered along the way aren’t accounted for and the landscapes driven through are breathtaking even on a cloudy and/or rainy day. Perhaps even moreso!

The guide continue to...

Super South coast

Olivia_B, Nov 2022
Such a good day! Our tour guide (I think his name was Hillar) was wonderful! He was engaging with great stories and anecdotes. Even though it was a bit cold and murky the bus was warm and comfortable and the sights were so beautiful!

Great trip to the south coast

Sean_H, Nov 2022
Trip was great, explored all of the main areas of the south coast, even if the weather against us. Tour guide was very chatty and friendly. Made the trip very enjoyable. Plenty of stops for food, drinks and toilets. Would recommend people to go on this. However our minibus did not have Wi-Fi or chargers so be prepared in case.

Great scenery, great guide

First, what an amazing place Iceland is. And Reykjavik, which seems to get no love from most commenters, was surprisingly quaint and fun (at least in the harbor area where we stayed). More to the point, my two adult daughters and I went on this tour with pretty high expectations, and still managed to be absolutely blown away by the scenery and our tour guide, Devin. As for the scenery, the best way to explain it is that we found ourselves on multiple occasions looking at vistas that seemed almost digitally-created or enhanced. Like living a Game of Thrones episode, uniformly harsh but beautiful. Waterfalls, glaciers, gorgeous beaches with huge waves, stunning rock formations. And tour guide Devin masterfully orchestrated this long day with pacing that was perfect (meaning length of stops, breaks, etc). He's an Arizonan that recently emigrated to Iceland, and has clearly fallen in love with the place. We appreciated his objective, outsider's view on all things Iceland, and his grasp of the history, the terrain, the general science, the culture, was incredibly comprehensive. Just a good, friendly, comfortable guy to spend a day with. We went on other tours while there, with guides that were effectively bus-drivers. We will do Iceland again, and we will do everything in our power to get Devin and EastWest Tours (I think I have that right), when we do so. Thanks Devin.

Magical

A good time!

Lililani_K, Oct 2022
Petra was our guide, she told so many stories and was very communicative! She always had our safety in mind. Would do this tour again!

Great value with lots of stops

Tia_J, Sep 2022
Great experience. Good value for full day trip. Walk as much or as little as you want. Careful with on and off the bus. Great guide who led us to icebergs, behind waterfalls, and allowed time to explore and take a million pictures. Really a great time.

South coast beauties

Elvira_T, Aug 2022
The water falls and black beach were awesome and got a chance to see the puffins. Nicely pace trip. Glacier was tremendous but sadly to say our planet is getting old and human progress has a big factor too. Are we ready to go back to the 60s and limit the …..?

Petra was a great guide!

Lester_S, Jul 2022
The first waterfall (name?), the black sand beach, and the town of Vik were our highlights! Petra was a great host.

Great experience!

Awesome day! The storms blew on and off all day, but we were still able to do everything! Our guide Toti was terrific. The beauty is overwhelming!

Brilliant guide

Charlotte_C, Nov 2021
Brilliant tour, really packed full of amazing sights. The drive to the first stop was quite long but the guide was so engaging and interesting, telling us all sorts of stories that the drive was made really fun. Brilliant guide who really made the experience

Best tour in Reykjavik!

Saundra_Q, Nov 2021
This tour was amazing. Outside of the beauties you'll get to see - Anna, our tour guide and driver was great! The smaller group size was also a plus as our other tour was on a large bus and felt totally impersonal (especially when we had to wait 30min for two guests who were late to return) I would highly recommend!

Made the best memories

Harini_S, Oct 2021
Hawk was our tour guide. He shared interesting stories about the places we visited, all along the way and have each one of us individual attention. Small group, fantastic tour guide and a lifetime experience.

Highly recommend!

Fenar was awesome. He is such an interesting guy and was very informative. Even played music from Icelandic bands. The sights were amazing. The black beach was beautiful and a wonderful place to stop for lunch. The waterfalls were amazing as well as the glacier. I highly recommend this tour and this tour company.

Funny guide, great spots

Eszter_B, Jul 2021
We had a very funny guide (called Wallie by the Americans :))). He told us lots of interesting things about Iceland through the trip, showed us some special (unplanned) spots as well. We recommend it with kids as well!

Highly recommended trip 5*

Stevejb4u, Feb 2020
Booked this trip with viator.com because it had a trip to a glacier where as other websites didn't It was worth it & we were blessed with a winter wonderland too & dramatic skies too Black beach is so surreal the waterfalls are huge with snacks available to buy if peckish. I spent my time on locations but did buy a delicious hotdog at one waterfall yum Definitely recommend this tour if in iceland

Fun with Ziggy

Thomas_C, Jan 2020
Our driver and guide, Ziggy, has a lot of energy and is passionate about his home. He is also a great driver, avoiding a close call when another tour driver took an unexpected turn in front of our bus! His humor was evident throughout the day, especially when we took a slight detour to the side of the road to see a very interesting phenomenon, Mother of Pearl Clouds! Black sand beach, waterfalls, glacier, and frozen tundra - beautiful landscape and fun day.

Great price for a small Group tour, but the pickup system must be improved.

Carlos_Y, Jan 2020
I booked through Viator and they stated that the pickup would be in my hostel. The day of the tour I received an email (I had not roaming in my cellphone in Iceland) at 8:25 am saying that I needed to go to a 7 minutes walk bus station for the pickup at 8:30 am ! ! ! !... I replied that I was waiting in the hostel because it was stated that way and I needed to walk to that bus station. Lucky for me they came back around 8:45 am to pick me up. After that little complain, I have to say that the tour was wonderful and it worth every single euro I paid for. Our guide (Gunna) was very helpful and provide us with a lot of information. I took the tour in december, lucky for us the weather was nice and the five hours of day light were enough to enjoy all the sights in th south shore.

Small Group Travel is a Plus!

Linda K, Oct 2019
On a four day visit to Iceland we experienced both a large bus excursion tour and the Small Group south Shore Tour. Traveling with three friends we all agreed the Small Shore Tour was our favorite. Our guide "Wally" was top notch. HIs dry wit and humor were much appreciated throughout the day. We saw many more sites than we anticipated and he had the freedom to decide in what order we would view sites--he kept us ahead of and away from the busses filled with students. He was very knowledgeable and spent most of the day talkin with us, Vey much appreciate his epertise! The bus was comfortable and it was easy to have conversations and learn abut the beautiful countryside.

Fabulous scenery!

Danelle_S, Oct 2019
This tour is amazing! The Arctic ocean, black sand beach, waterfalls, volcanoes and a glacier all in one day! Baldwin was fun and informative. His knowledge and experience made the trip awesome. The pace was perfect! This tour is a must!
