My group got to hike the glacier which was an incredible experience. The guide, “Mike,” was so energetic and enthusiastic without being annoying (talking too much especially during the driving) I appreciated it so much. Mike just would tell us about the info of specific areas we were driving through and then let us enjoy the scenery quietly. You could tell that he loves Iceland and all of the outdoor activities that it has to offer. He guided us through everything and was applied much of the knowledge that he has as an outdoorsman. This was the best tour I had while visiting Iceland and Mike was the reason; he made it fun and interesting. Mike even made a quick stop while on the drive back home to catch some northern lights! I couldn’t believe that he was willing to do that for us AFTER such a long day. Truly, Mike: Thank you!!

This was a great tour of the southern coast of Iceland. Our guide, Evo, was very knowledgeable and friendly. He answered questions and interacted with all of us as if we were friends. This tour is worth the money as you get to see and learn a lot about the area, but be mindful that you have plenty of time. The tour started around 8am and we got back to our hotel at 7pm.

Evo was an excellent guide. His knowledge of the lands and Iceland history was amazing.
He was also amazing in what could have been a comfort disaster. One of the guests became ill and he was amazing with cleaning and making her feel good about the situation. He is a keeper!!

DO NOT BOOK THIS TOUR. The operator, Holiday Tours, is unreliable. I was scheduled to be in Reykjavik for only 2 days. I booked and paid for this tour in August and received a confirmation notice and ticket. 18 hours before the tour was to occur I received a notice that the operator was canceling due to insufficient amount of bookings. The message included an offer to take an alternate tour. I reached out to the "operator" repeatedly and asked for details and they never responded. It is not my problem that they didn't sell enough tickets. My plans were ruined for the day and my attempts to take an alternative tour were not successful due to the operator's poor business practices. When I paid for a ticket and received a confirmation, I had, in essence, a contract with the tour operator. They breached that contract by canceling the tour. I traveled thousands of miles to visit Iceland. This tour operator should not be allowed to do business.

Had a great time on our small group tour with Holiday Tours. A guide can make or break a tour and our guide Roberto was very informative and friendly throughout the day. He was very informative in explaining things along our route and was very open and encouraged questions. Took us to a couple spots we were not expecting to see. We visited Iceland 6 years ago and drove to many of these locations on our own but having a guide explain things and answer question was much better. I highly recommend this tour and Holiday Tours.

They called me at my hotel with a phone number and no further explanation, such as the tour operator’s name. I called and they told me that they decided to cancel because they did not have enough people. It’s very unfair that one can get a refund only with 24 hours notice but the tour operator can cancel anytime for no good reason. My flight leaves tomorrow morning so I had no viable alternative. Going to Iceland is very expensive and tour operators should be conscionable of the effect that cancellations can have on customers who have limited time. They offered a refund but so far I don’t see it in my credit card statement.

We were upgraded to the tour that included the glacier hike. Our tour with Michal was fantastic! We visited Iceland to celebrate my niece’s Sweet 16 — my second trip there and her first. Michal's knowledge of the beautiful south coast and its stunning and unique natural landscapes was quite impressive. He also excelled as our glacier hiking guide, ensuring everyone's comfort and safety. When my gloves got wet from the waterfalls, he even lent me his. Overall, this tour is a must-do for anyone visiting Iceland, especially adventure seekers!

Great trip. One word of caution…if you book through Viator, pick up location was not accurate and the only way we knew about this was through a message through the App, not by a notifying email. We could have easily missed it had we not decided to message the operator to confirm that we were in our hotel lobby. Check the app the night before the trip.

The sites are beautiful. Our guide was perfunctory. The bus was an older model and the speaker system was suboptimal (difficult to understand the tour guide due to static combined with a heavy accent). I had taken a full day tour the day prior also through Viator and it was through Nice Tours which was much much better. This was through Holiday Tours and really not nearly as good.

The trip was very good and the tour guide (Michal) was awesome. He took good care of us, was very friendly and showed us some remarkable walking pathways at the destinations. He was very knowledgeable and told amazing facts about Iceland. Since it was a small group, he gave individual attention to each of us and we learnt a lot about the place.

All of the stops were incredible. Although the weather did not cooperate fully it did not affect the enjoyment of the day. Black sand beach and waterfall stops were amazing. The only complaint was the size of the bus was a little tight. We had people on board that were coughing quite a lot and it felt like everyone was right on top of each other.

Great time on the Golden Circle Tour. Our tour guide/bus driver Michal did an outstanding job. We originally booked the South Coast Tour but were notified a day in advance that the tour was canceled and asked if we wanted to reschedule for the Golden Circle Tour. That is the only reason I am giving a 4 and not a 5 on the rating. I really was looking forward to seeing the South Coast. However, we enjoyed our tour and lunch at the Tomato Farm was really good. The warm, dry atmosphere in a greenhouse with incredibly fresh food was excellent.

The South Coast is a must-see for anyone visiting Iceland. When you have an outstanding guide like Michal with Holiday Tours, visiting the area is more than sightseeing, it's an experience.
Michal is knowledgeable, passionate about the scenery, culture, history, geology, and geography of Iceland.
He went above and beyond, adding stops at a hidden waterfall, a spectacular coastal viewpoint, and even a stroll to the edge of a glacier.
The South Coast region is home to many of Iceland's best-known and most-photographed waterfalls and coastline...and Michal made this a day my son and I won't soon forget.
The area around Vik is stunning, and well worth the journey from Reykjavik.
We returned to our Reykjavik hotel early that evening with many fantastic memories....and pictures.
I fully recommend this tour.
