If you book this tour, make sure that you go to the information desk at the bus station when you arrive and get clear directions about the tour. I was given inaccurate information by other staff at the station and missed the small group tour. The company offered me the large bus tour, which was ok, but I paid for the small group tour. When I requested a refund of the difference, the company refused to do so.

They were 45+ minutes late picking us up with no communication ( I had to try two different ways to contact them). Plus, this was NOT a small group guided tour. Pretty much rode in silence to/from the ONE location for viewing. It was NOt a small group because this tour company had THREE other vans that brought people to the same small parking lot so you are trying to see and take pictures with 60 other people!!!

This tour was great! It was our first night in Iceland and we were able to see the lights! Our tour guide Kalli was great and very patient. He let us take extra time to take pics of the lights. He also took us to a remote section where we were the only bus and we got to see the lights and they were truly amazing! It was breathtaking and I would do it again! We got lucky and saw the lights on our first try!

none - they cancelled the tour at the last minute. Very disappointing - we were already at the point of departure that we had taken a cab to get to. So, the tour that they cancelled COST me money - because of the cab fair to and from the point of departure.

We didn’t enjoy the trip. We went two nights in a row with hope to see the lights. The first night we had no luck even thought another friend was able to see the lights through from another tour guide. The second night but about 30 minutes into the trip we realized the lights would not be out but still had to wait the 3 hours on the cold bus.

It is not a given that you will see the lights every night, but many tours will allow a rain check option. Our tour guide did a great job pointing them out as soon as he saw them to ensure we at least caught a glimpse of them. We were given plenty of time to get out of the bus to watch them dance across the sky.
Tips:
- Before you go research how to maximize you picture quality. There is a certain setting you will need to adjust to get the vibrant pictures you want.
- If you have one, bring a tripod to allow for a still picture or timelapse of the lights dancing. Our guide did this for us out of the kindness of his heart and shared the images with us via a Google folder. Definitely some of my favorite pictures taken that night.

Wir sind nicht, wie am Abend zuvor bei einem anderen Anbieter , weit gefahren. Der Himmel war bewölkt und an einer kleinen, vorübergehenden Wolkenlücke haben wir gewartet. Es zeigte sich auch kurzzeitig ein kleines bisschen Polarlicht. Der Guide hatte auch keine Kamera dabei um den Gästen ohne Handy das Licht eventuell zu zeigen. Bei den anderen Kleingruppen Touren hatten die Guides eine Kamera. Es gab in dieser Nacht Polarlichter, das bewiesen Fotos anderer Urlauber, da hätte man aber etwas weiter fahren müssen. Da hatte unser Guide wohl nicht die Lust dazu oder er sollte es nicht. Schade.
Der Kakao war allerdings sehr lecker.

Apesar de conseguir ver a aurora boreal, o passeio foi ruim. Pouca explicação do guia, várias vans paradas em um estacionamento e só isso….. Fiz caçadas a aurora boreal na Noruega e na Finlândia e nem se comparam com essa na Islândia. Na Islândia parece amador, desleixado…. É como comparar um bom hotel (Noruega e Finlândia) com um hotel de beira de estrada (Islândia)…..
Não gostei, não recomendo. Caro demais pela experiencia
