What are people saying about Reykjavik

Fantastic company and made our trip very easy
Important: When traveling internationally and if your cell number doesn't work, you should install WhatsApp on your phone BEFORE leaving your home country. We found that this is the primary app used by most overseas. Now, this company was wonderful. We traveled as a family of nine and had 20 bags/luggage. They were able to arrange for two vehicles to transport us to our destination. We use this company to take us to and from the airport while visiting Iceland. They were good at communicating and arrive with a tablet with my name on it, making it easy to find them. The overall experience was very seamless and we also communicated prior to my trip via email.

Use Viator for your transport to the airport!
We had Moutasem as our driver from Reykjavik to the Iceland airport. He was early, communicative both the night before and the morning of our trip through WhatsApp, and was kind and delightful! We could not have had a better experience through Viator! You are awesome, Moutasem, and made our good experience in Iceland even better. Thank you!

Our Guide was excellent with exceptional Iceland beauty.
Our guide, Klause, made this tour 10x better. He was always providing educational explanations throughout the whole tour. The weather was perfect for our group and Klause was able to take advantage of this weather opportunity. The stops on this tour checked all the boxes, photography dream!

The best tour!!! A tongue twister icelandic name but snaefellsnesis much more special than the south coast tour
This is my 1st tour in iceland out of 4 tours during my 10 days excursion in Iceland for the 1st time. East view is the tour company. I thibk it is the best one out of the 4 other tours for a few reasons. 1) they announced the driver's name, highlight the color of the van they are pick you from and the license plate to you beforw the pick up which I think ia super helpful. Even though, their gold van is more dark bronze color but having the other information helps me find the driver easier. There are many tours going on at all the bus stops..for a 1st timer, it can be overwhelming. So the details are appreciated. 2) the guide who is also the driver introduced himself very well once everyone is on board. He faces us while doing that before he start driving. I think that is very nice. He also asked us to briefly introduced ourselves, just name and where we are from so we know who are with us for a long 10 to 11 hours tour. My guide is simon adolf H. And no, the H stands for something different. :) he is 53 and is a dad, and a local born and grew up in iceland. I love his vibe, he is cool, told very good history and stories about true crime and ghost stories. I enjoyed them. He is a great driver. He is also very good in managing the group of I think, 17 people. He kept us entertained and often follow us to all the sights and stops. He is really a great guide. Many guides dont go with you to every stop or know how to manage a big crowd well. It is a skill, I think to be able to do that but keeping it very entertaining. He also made sure he told about the next stops, what to expect, bathrooms stops for safety pee (i love that because most guides just assume travelers know how control their own bathroom breaks but we all need reminder that sometimes, restrooms are not nearby). He even take us to a nice coffee shop woth reallt good coffee and carrot cake. He is like a dad figure, a bit intimidating but it a good way, you know you are in good hands. I would go back to iceland ans check into east view travels directly due to this tour. Snaefellsnesis is beautiful, the cliffs are just epic. It rained quite a bit but I still enjoy the tour very well and that is all because of Simon. He made everything fun with his great narration and has a dad sense of humor. I think this is my favorite tour out of 10 days

Punctual, Safe Transfer
Our friendly driver arrived a few minutes early and led us to his vehicle. After cheerfully loading the luggage, he drove us straight to the cruise terminal. I think it's important to point our that he was an attentive, safe driver (because we used a different company 2 years ago in Reykjavik and their driver had his eyes on his phone and barely missed hitting a parked car). My husband and I highly recommend this transfer service!

Great experience!
Driver communicated extremely well, was exactly where he said he was going to be. Very easy to find. Quick walk to the car, car was clean - no smells. We had a very friendly conversation on the way into the city as he’s also a tour guide. I arrived about an hour earlier than I had originally planned, they had tracked my flight, were very responsive.

Great, stress-free start to our trip!
Great car transfer service from the airport to our accommodations in Reykjavik! The ride was smooth, the car was comfortable, and it made getting our family settled in super easy after the flight. Definitely a stress-free way to kick off our Iceland vacation. Highly recommend!

Nice comfortable ride
We were told that there would be a complimentary shuttle from the ship to the bus terminal, but one we arrived at port, we were assured that was no longer the case. We were told we would have to take a taxi (about $50 Cdn). So while still less than the ship transfer to the airport, keep that in mind

Reykjavík Bus to Keflavik
Smooth ride to the airport. My only observation is that the pick up scheduling can be a bit ambiguous. Some times the pick up is 25 minutes after the designated time, and others at the beginning of the time window (30 minutes before the posted pick up time). The bus company should have some capability to text the customer if the bus is arriving early (in particular for airport transport which are directly tied to plane departure schedules). Otherwise the service was efficient and got us to the airport on time!

Fantastic half day out
We booked onto the morning excursion - unfortunately 15 minutes into the bus ride, the excursion had to be cancelled due to a bad accident on the roads causing them to be closed.
The tour company was really helpful and got us booked onto the 1pm excursion the same day when we messaged them on Viator.
The bus journey was pretty quick (35 mins each way) and scenic.
When we got to the caves, we had Alex as a guide. He was fantastic - it was a really informative and funny tour. The caves themselves are very pretty in winter with the icicles. It might not be a super long tour but we really liked it as a half day trip from Reykjavik.

A wonderful day
Karen was a wonderful driver and guide!! She has so many amazing stories about the area. Her expertise made a long trip very informative and enjoyable. Highly recommend this tour and especially this guide.
The sights were great, though the beach didn't have " diamonds" today. Its very nature dependent, but seeing the glacier pieces in the bay was so beautiful! Keep an eye open you may see seals. The water falls were wonderful highlights! Especially the one lit at night.
Thanks GrayLine and Karen for a wonderful day.

Great transfer experience!
Our driver Daniel was excellent. The car was the size we requested, it was clean and he had water for us. Daniel was on time, assisted with our luggage, and was a pleasure to talk to during the drive to the airport. We always felt safe and the experience could not have been better. I definitely recommend this transfer and our driver Daniel. Thank you.
