This cooking class was an incredible experience from start to finish. It was so hands on, informative, and full of helpful tips that made it both fun and educational. We prepared several delicious dishes and enjoyed amazing wines paired with each course, which made the experience even more special. They also surprised my daughter with a sweet birthday celebration, which was such a thoughtful touch. Everything about this class was warm, welcoming, and memorable. Highly recommend!

We had an absolutely amazing experience with Tania and Tomas! They were the most wonderful, welcoming, and hospitable hosts, making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. Their warmth, passion for Portuguese cuisine, and genuine love for sharing their culture made this experience truly special and authentic.
We prepared incredible traditional dishes, including a delicious cod cake empanada with Portuguese sausage, followed by a heavenly Portuguese French toast dessert topped with a port wine reduction. Every bite was amazing!
What made this experience so memorable was not just the food, but the hospitality, stories, and personal touches that Tania and Tomas brought to the class. It felt less like a cooking lesson and more like spending time with friends while discovering the true flavors and traditions of Portugal.
This was an excellent cooking class and was fun and entertaining. I learned new techniques and true Portuguese cooking methods and menus. The hosts were very welcoming and knowledgeable in teaching their cooking methods.
Tania and Tomas were wonderful hosts and instructors in Portuguese cuisine and wines. The food we prepared was delicious and easy enough for a novice! It was a delightful way to spend a few hours. I highly recommend this experience.
Tania, the chef was outstanding! We always search out cooking classes when we travel and this experience did not disappoint. The steps were easy to follow and the food came out great and was delicious. Tomas, Tania's husband was also a great source of knowledge about the wines that accompanied the dishes. A not to be missed experience in Porto!
Our chefs were a husband and wife team. who were wonderful hosts and extremely knowledgeable about Portuguese cuisine. Tanya is a highly trained chef. Each course was delicious and paired with great wines.

This was an unforgettable experience. There is nothing like learning from locals, specially trained local to really get a true taste of the culture in a country. Over all this was the highlight of our trip. The combined experience between the chef Tania and the wine knowledge of Tomas, and the small.class setting really allowed you to gain an appreciation for the food and culture. My husband and I booked this cooking class while on our honeymoon in Porto. Tania and Tomas were incredible! The kitchen was very intimate and made for a more personable experience. Tania is an excellent chef who gave information and history about each dish we made in class. Tomas is a specialist in wine and gave us interesting facts about each wine and cocktail. 10/10 would recommend. Definitely one of the highlights of our trip! Thank you Tania and Tomas!

Speaking of first impression, we were immediately blown away by the studio interior the moment we entered the door. The natural lights were perfectly casted through the long window panels overlooking this beautiful, bright yellow-painted facade of the building across the street. Straight out of a painting! The studio was very cozy of space and created this ambience of intimacy that made us feel like home.
Tania and Tomas were so welcoming and inviting to us as they patiently explained the historical contexts and fun facts behind each drink and dish served. We'd also learned a great deal of cooking techniques. It was an experience so culturally immersive that we were so glad that we had. Would highly recommend anyone who's looking to experience Portuguese dishes with cultural contexts.

My two sisters and myself had so much fun with chef Tania and her sommelier husband Tomas. Chef Tania showed us how to make some traditional Portuguese dishes that were delicious. Tomas served us some very good wines that went well with the dishes we cooked. It was in a small intimate setting so we got some one on one instructions.
We had such a great experience!! It was truly one of the major highlights of our trip. A perfect combination of history and culture through cuisine! Tomas and Tania are a dynamic duo, and bring such a perfect balance to the experience. They are genuinely so kind and hospitable, and presented information about food, wine, and culture in a way that was captivating and memorable. Would definitely recommend and would love to come again the next time we visit Porto!

This cooking class was wonderful with Tania and Tomas. We learned a lot about the history of the dishes we were making, and got to hear their personal relationship with the recipes as well. The focus was on learning easy cooking skills that translate to at home cooking, while also getting to make and taste traditional Porto dishes. The food was fantastic, and the company of Tania and Tomas was so much fun. Would highly recommend.
Recently, while in Porto, Portugal, we took this cooking class with Chef Tania, with her spouse Tomas assisting, and wow… what an experience from start to finish.
The day began with a tour of Mercado do Bolhão with Tomas, where we met another couple participating in the class. We shared wine, tried sardines for the first time, and learned more about the market and Portuguese food culture. It was the perfect way to start the experience.
After the market tour, we walked over to the apartment for the cooking class, and let me tell you — everything was flawless. We’ve had the privilege of taking cooking classes in private locations in Paris, Budapest, Italy, and India, and out of all of them, the attention to detail and overall execution of this class was by far the best.
Chef Tania was incredibly hands-on, welcoming, and engaging throughout the entire experience. She encouraged questions, made everyone feel completely at ease, and created such a warm and inviting atmosphere. Having recently moved to Lisbon a few months ago, I especially loved being able to ask a real Portuguese chef questions about cooking and ingredients, and she was so generous with her knowledge.
We learned so much, laughed a ton, ate incredibly well, and left genuinely excited to recreate the dishes at home.
I truly cannot recommend this class enough. It was one of the highlights of our time in Porto.

Tomas and Tonia were delightful hosts and made the evening special, it felt like we were at a dinner party with old friends. This was a highlight of our recent 11 day trip to Portugal and we did a lot! The class was just perfection, from the communication prior to arrival with Tomas meeting us outside and escorting us to the location to cooking taught by Chef Tania (a Le Cordon Bleu trained chef!). It was warm, personal and educational. The space, wines, food and cooking lesson was excellent and plan to put Chef Tania and Tomas on your trip itinerary, you will be so happy you did!!
Tania and Tomas gave us an amazing experience. The food was incredible and we learned several new tips. I would recommend to anybody with an interest in food. The atmosphere was friendly and relaxed with plenty of time for questions and eating the food we had made.
This was a true hands-on cooking experience with wine pairings that my two daughters and I did on a birthday trip for me. The location was a bit tricky to find but a member of the team came and helped us get to the space where the event took place. A lovely building with lots of natural light. The food we prepared was delicious and the wine options were perfect as well. The instructor and her staff made everyone feel welcome and all of them were so friendly, patient and helpful. We had such a wonderful time!
