As a local, I wanted to show my friends, my hometown in an efficient manner. George did not disappoint. Very knowledgeable. He picked us up and immediately went to the NorthSide and discussed a lot of Pittsburgh sports history. He brings props to make for great photo ops. We spent time in the cultural district before heading over to the Duquense Incline. He drives a 2003 Mercury which is showing its age, but is part of the charm. The front vanity plate is TourBus. I am a native to Pittsburgh area and I learned a few new things. Thank you George.
Our guide was George who was absolutely passionate about Pittsburgh. We learned so much about this beautiful city highly recommend hooking up and learning all the tips and tricks.
George was a 4th or 5th generation Yinzer and knew so much about the city and it's history. His stories were insightful and entertaining, we went to parts of the city that we would have never gone to without his guidance. The tour was very interactive and we really enjoyed ourselves.
I can’t imagine a better tour guide. George’s knowledge and love for Pittsburgh shines throughout the tour. Highly recommend.
DeBolt’s Essential Pittsburgh Experience did not disappoint. George is an energetic, knowledgeable and personable guide. Because ours was a private tour we were picked up and dropped off at our hotel. George enhanced his verbal description with a 3-ring notebook filled with related photos and other materials. George’s car is older and a little tired, but it made no difference to our enjoyment of the tour.

George is very knowledgeable especially about sports. The vehicle he was driving us in was very old and dirty. Apparently one of the rear side mirrors in the back seat had shattered and the glass was left all over the seat. He put a mat over to cover it.
He knew some great places to go for photo ops which was a plus.
George is wonderful! We have been on tours all around the world. This is one of the best! I recommend this tour to everyone!!!!
Great tour with Pittsburgh native! Made it fun and very knowledgeable! Lots of really interesting stories about the city and it's heritage and, of course, sports!
George picked us up from our hotel. He is a wonderful guide. He was able to tell us the history of Pittsburgh as well as explain how the city has changed over the last few decades. His knowledge of Pittsburgh’s sports history can’t be beat. A highlight was seeing the spot where the Immaculate Reception took place. George kept my child entertained and engaged the entire time.
George was FANTASTIC! This was one of the best tours we’ve ever been on. He knows his stuff and engages everyone in the tour. Our 5and 8 year old grandchildren enjoyed it, too!

The private tour of Pittsburgh was incredible and informative! Our tour guide, George De Bolt’s knowledge and experience of the area was incorporated into the tour and left us with a desire to visit Pittsburgh again to explore the city even further. George’s personality was fun and engaging, and he made sure our interactions were a part of the experience. This is one of the best city tours we have ever taken! George was very knowledgeable and passionate about Pitt. He knows everyone. Made Pitt seem.like a small town. Alot of Pitt history is sports history. Note that the Duquesne incline only takes cash (it was clear in viator description that the admission was not included but we just don't carry a lot of cash). We rode in his sedan; the four of us fit fine (husband is 6'4).
Very informative learned much about Pittsburgh. George the tour guide was so knowledgeable and a great person.
Ask for George. You will learn so much and it will be VERY enjoyable. When we return to Pittsburgh, we want to book another tour to learn more.
He was entertaining, interactive and we learned SO MUCH.
PLEASE bring at least 20$ in cash so as to pay for the Duquesne Incline fare; that part is cash only. (!! in 2025). Regardless, I highly recommend this tour.

Took a private 2 hour tour with wife and son. George the guide was great! Knowledgeable and funny. Took us through downtown, to the waterfront, the incline, the strip. A font of Pittsburgh history. We all loved it.!
