sit on top level and bring warm jacket with a hood as it can be very windy on the bridges especially. The guide was wonderful.

This was a great tour to see places and to hear some of the history of Pittsburgh. The tour guide was great and had a great sense of humor. We would highly recommend this tour!

Our Guide was knowledgeable and upbeat with pride of his city of Pittsburgh.
I should have taken longer tour.

I would not recommend booking through Viator. We showed up a little before the scheduled time as listed on our booking (4:30pm), and Pittsburgh Tour Company was closed. Luckily, we were able to speak with one of the employees who informed us that their last tour leaves at 3:15pm and they don’t even have a 4:30pm tour in October. If you are going to be a 3rd party vendor, you should be aware of tour schedules and sell tickets accordingly. Additionally, the employee we spoke with was rude and kept telling us we should have checked their website and not booked through a vendor. We literally aren’t from around here (hence the tour) and would have no way of knowing this. Just a terrible experience all around.

Tour guide knew so much about Pittsburg. Some of his jokes/quips were not funny, though some people thought so.

No bathroom in the shop where you check-in. We were told no public bathrooms in the area also. Lady at the front desk was not very helpful.
Jennifer_B, Sep 2025

CAROL_R, Sep 2025
Funny narrator, wear a hat and long sleeves as on open air bus, can get on and off at many sites and next bus will get you in an hour, or just stay on bus and think about where to go on your own

You see so many things in 2 and half hours and great information from the guide too. We sat upstairs and the view was great.
Petra_M, Aug 2025
Great way to get an overview of the city. John was very knowledgeable about the city and answered our questions as well. A worthwhile activity

I arrived to the city early morning and couldn’t check in my hotel for a few hours so this was a great way to eat up some time. I was able to see almost the entire city and identify some places I want to check out later. This is my first time to Pittsburgh so this provided an excellent introduction.

It was very easy to buy tickets for the bus tour. And it worked very smoothly once it was time to get our wristbands and get on the bus. I would recommend 100%!
David_P, Jul 2025
Our guide was more than happy to answer any questions we had.. I would suggest to take the open ticket so you can get on/off at different stops.
Tammy_M, Jul 2025
We really enjoyed the experience. Learning about the history of each of the neighborhoods and seeing the highlights of the city. It gave us a good layout of the city and where we wanted to explore more. We did the early tour. The length of time was perfect so we had plenty of hours left to sightsee. The only thing I would change is there are no public restrooms at their starting location and there was no one from their office telling the people in line that they needed to go inside to check in and get a bracelet this wasted a lot of time at the beginning.
Ellen_M, Jul 2025
Tour guide was excellent and made the experience fun and educational. Very comprehensive tour of the city. We stayed in the bus for the tour.
JeanSylvestre_A, Jul 2025
We enjoyed the tour. History of Pittsburgh landmarks. History of the bridges and celebrities born in Pittsburgh
momkahan, Jul 2025
Long when sitting inside bus a little hard to understand the guide. Talked a little too fast. Jokes meh!
Didn't take time nor had much interest in questions. No opportunity to ask him anything
Kevin_G, Jul 2025

Madeline_S, Jun 2025
My mom and I took the tour. It was a great experience. We learned so much about the city, from its big attractions to hidden gems. The commentary was informative and funny! A must do for anyone visiting Pittsburgh!!!
Stephanie_G, Jun 2025
It’s extremely hot in the summer. If in top of bus, sunscreen, hat and water. I don’t know if there was a/c on the interior of the bus.
Response from Host, Jun 2025
Thank you for the nice review, although we can't control the weather, sunscreen and water are recommended in the summer. It is an open-top bus and you will be in the sun, however, you will get plenty of summer air as we tour through the streets of the "Burgh!" There is air conditioning and windows downstairs; however, most guests choose the breezy upstairs. But since Pittsburgh averages 203 cloudy days per year, we don't always mind the sun! 😊
