The driver & tour guide were both excellent. It was a long, hot day, but we saw everything. The tour guide was funny, knowledgeable & personable. Got off at the incline. Very nice was to see the city!
Takes about 2.5 hours, but you get a FULL tour of what Pittsburg has to offer.
We had an impromptu rain storm, but both ladies running the tour handled it with grace.
The tour was interesting and informative! The tour guides were enthusiastic! We enjoyed the many stops and the other tourists were friendly!
Excellent experience. Great way to see places we would not have seen. Learned a lot of history and endured some Dad jokes lol. Definitely recommend this tour.

Very good value. First time visitors to Pittsburgh and learned so much. Our tour guide was very funny and enjoyed all her banter. It was a great informative addition to our visit. Booked last minute and was able to get on a tour same day.
They enjoyed seeing the Highlights of my city. Learning about the history. I found out things I didn't know.
It gives you a good overview of the city and you can return to places of interest later.
Weather may be an issue.
If you want to get off and see more or just explore the All Day Pass is worth it. Saved us a lot of Ubering back and forth. The guides / drivers are knowledgeable and friendly. The tour takes you across bridges, so you see a lot of the city. Highly recommend this tour

There is a lot of information to take in. Enjoyed the whole tour. This was a very good tour and so was the tour guide.
What a wonderful way to see the city of Pittsburgh! The driver and tour guide showed exceptional customer service and professionalism by allowing my husband and me, along with our friends, to join the tour that was scheduled before our actual booked tour since we arrived at the departure point early.
It was an amazing summer day, and we enjoyed the top deck immensely. The tour guide was so informative and made the tour entertaining, fun and educational. It was a “perfect package” as we saw the main sights and fell in love with the city of Pittsburgh.
My husband is a huge Steeler’s fan since the “immaculate reception” that he saw on TV as he watched his first ever football game as a 16 year old.
We are Canadians and were visiting Pittsburgh to celebrate my husband’s 70th birthday with a preseason football game. We love your city and the Steeler’s team. We even got to meet DK from DK sports, my husband’s favourite sports podcaster, since we took the hop on/hop off option of the bus tour and got off in the downtown market area.
What an incredible experience as we made wonderful memories - we will never forget this awesome trip!

Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and funny. We originally weren’t sure if this would be boring but it ended up being a highlight of our trip. I would suggest doing it at the beginning of a trip because it helped us choose places to go. They give great suggestions and you see the whole city.
It’s a great tour of the city. You can stay on or go with the hop on/hop off very easily if you change your mind. I enjoyed it and learned so much about this beautiful and interesting city!
The tour started late without communication. Other than that it was a good experience. Be sure to check the weather.
Perfectly timed 2.5 hour bus tour of Pittsburgh. We hit all the spots that we wanted to see and learned a ton about a city I’ve been to over 100 times as a kid and adult.
Driver was super nice and our guide was knowledgeable and funny. I would definitely recommend. Worth every penny!!
In spite of the rain, this was a great tour of Pittsburgh. As a first time visitor to the burgh, this helped me plan for my days here.
This tour was comprehensive and informative. The state of the bus itself was problematic though. There are a limited number of seats inside on the first level of the bus, but half of them were uninhabitable due to the condensation leaking from the air conditioner. Thus, it was only possible for about six people to sit down there, leaving the rest at the mercy of the heat and thunderstorms on the open air section of the bus. The driver and tour guides were great. Viator didn’t advertise that this is a hop on hop off bus, which irked me since that ate up a lot of extra time stopping every so often to let people on and off. If not for that, the tour could finish in under 2 hours, much would have been preferable for me. And my kids, who started to get antsy. You get to see all the sights though, and so many bridges!
This tour gives you a good feel for the city of Pittsburgh. It hit all of the highlights of the city. The tour guide was delightful.
went on a bus and saw Pittsburgh bridges and murals and multiple different areas of Pittsburgh, including the stadiums, the Carnegie Hall, the Pittsburgh university the jail, and other areas of interest
To be able to get off of the bus, you have to buy a more expensive pass. We were not made aware of that, until we got on the bus. They oversold tickets to get on. So several people didn’t have seats, until other people got off of the bus. We picked up random people on the way that didn’t even pay. They were able to pay once they got on the bus. Which put the entire tour behind, while we waited for these people to get situated. Do not recommend this tour. Very unorganized.

We see your review, and we do need to correct several statements that are simply inaccurate or false.
Our ticket options are clearly explained at the time of purchase. You purchased our JUST THE TOUR PASS, which is a 2.5-hour tour loop. It does not include the ability to get on and off or ride all day. Our HOP ON HOP OFF PASS is a different ticket and is only $5 more. Guests who purchase the Just the Tour Pass are absolutely welcome to upgrade if they decide they would like the hop-on, hop-off option.
Most importantly, the information regarding your own ticket was available when you purchased it. Had you reviewed the ticket you purchased, you would have seen that it was for the 2.5-hour tour loop, rather than the Hop On Hop Off product. Falsely claiming you were not made aware of this is untrue.
We also want to address your claim that people were riding for free. No one was riding for free. We sell tickets at our 21 stops, so guests who have not purchased a ticket in advance may purchase one when boarding. That is a normal part of our operation and does not mean anyone was given a free ride. Your assumption about what other passengers were doing was simply incorrect.
Likewise, saying that we “oversold tickets” is not an accurate description of what occurred. Our buses operate with established passenger capacity limits, and passengers may board and exit at designated stops throughout the route. Seeing passengers board or waiting for seats does not mean tickets were improperly sold.
Also saying stopping and passengers boarding "Which put the entire tour behind, while we waited for these people to get situated" is simply untrue, we track all of our buses and can see exactly when it departed and returned from your tour, as well as every second along the route. We have also built in stop time, for those who are enjoying our Hop On and Hop Off day pass to make our buses run on schedule. Your tour was not delayed due to people boarding at stops along the way, this is simply untrue.
We have been operating Pittsburgh tours for 17 years, and our operation is anything but “very unorganized.” We take our ticketing, passenger capacity, and route procedures seriously. We also have documentation and records regarding the operation in question, and we are confident in the accuracy of our records.
We respectfully ask that you remove this review that makes false factual claims, particularly the allegations that we oversold tickets, allowed people to ride without paying, you were delayed and you were not aware of your tour ticket conditions. Criticism of an experience is certainly fair; publishing statements about our business that are factually untrue is another matter entirely.
We are happy to stand behind legitimate criticism, but we will also defend our company when inaccurate claims are presented as fact.
The guide and his trainee were very knowledgeable, friendly, literate and expressive. Also the bus driver was sociable and helpful. The two plus hour trip was worth the time and expense. Highly recommend this to all who are first time visitors to Pittsburgh.

So much interesting information! Just wanted to get a feel for the city on our first visit and fell in love with it. Our guide was very knowledgeable enthusiastic and well spoken. Also appreciated the excellent sound system. So glad we did it!
The tour was good and the hop on / hop off was a nice feature. We waited for the bus to pick us up and thought we missed it and started to walk just to find out that it was 10 minutes late.
