We had an enjoyable time riding bikes. We did the ERT trail. Very easy to follow. Pedego was very accommodating and helpful. I would definitely recommend doing this. 10/26/24

We had a group of 4 riding on a hot summer day and it was still amazing. Bikes were easy to learn, helmets added a really fun way to communicate as well. We got our monies worth with a solid 4 hours and 1 hour spend at a delicious restaurant as break. I will do this again and again!

The bikes were good quality and very easy to handle. Vendors were very helpful and made any adjustments required. The trail on the other hand was a bit difficult to stay on as we kept losing the signs. The trail also goes through a lot of residential areas on the residential streets. We did get onto actual trails from time to time.

Very fun e-bike ride in Norfolk. The Elizabeth River Trail is very easy to get to from the store, and there are a lot of things to see - from the waterfront to the university to the neighborhoods. I'd definitely recommend.

I would give this a five star but I wasn’t crazy about getting a fat tire e-bike, which did not have the torque sensor, which takes a bit to control the peddling speed. Plus with the fat tires it was very stiff and the ride was very bumpy. I guess I compare it to our electric bikes that have the torque sensor and front shocks, which makes it both smooth peddling and sooth riding suspension. Without the sensor I had to peddle hard and fast while in the 1st speed setting to keep up with my wife, who had a regular frame and smaller tire bike. And then in the 2nd speed setting I had to constantly back off peddling or it would I to her or go past her. I guess it’s a matter of getting use to it, but I would not recommend a fat tire bike for a casual day ride.
The rentals were in a high quality looking sore, and in a very nice location close to the start of the trail and near the downtown area. The staff and owner were very helpful and friendly.
We were on a cruise, and the shop was actually running a tour with a group of passengers from our ship, but we decided to do the self guided tour on our own. We followed the same trail that the tour took and it was really nice along the river and through neighborhoods of beautiful old houses. You will find nice little cafes and restaurants along the trail.
This is well worth taking.! Just make sure you get the right bike for you. If it had been a different bike for me, it would have been a five star review.

Great electric bike ride along the Elizabeth trail. The bikes are super high quality and go out to 21 mph. However if you’re looking to save money the line bikes are everywhere and can accomplish the same task for a fraction of the price.

The electric bike were great! There was a lady working when we got our bikes and who was phenomenal! This a self guided bike rides but she gave us a map of the trail and that was very helpful. Plenty of places to eat along our way as well. Very well worth it.

Wir hatten einen Tollen Tag in Norfolk mit den E-Bikes. Diese haben sogar einen Hebel zum "Gasgeben", so dass man sogar völlig ohne zu treten fahren kann. (Ist in Deutschland verboten, macht aber ungeheuer Spaß). Wir waren auf eine Kreuzfahrt und haben kurzfristig umgebucht von der mehr als doppelt so teueren Fahrradtour auf dem Schiff zu diesem Bike-Verleih. Und wir haben die viel besseren Bikes gehabt und fast die gleiche Tour gemacht. Wem es zuviel Stress ist, den Weg nach Karte und Ausschilderung selbst zu suchen, kann auch eine geführte Tour machen. Wir wollten einfach ein wenig die Gegend erkunden. Ein unerwartet toller Tag mit unerwartet super E-Bikes. Wir wurden sehr freundlich empfangen und eingewiesen und sogar noch die erste viertel Stunde auf den Weg gebracht. Sollten wir wieder einmal in Norfolk sein, freuen wir uns jetzt schon darauf wieder mit diesen Bikes zu fahren. Klare Empfehlung für alle, die viel Spaß und super E.Bikes in Norfolk haben wollen.
