The entire evening was everything went expected. Great weather, beautiful sunset, full moon, friendly staff, food was delicious and plentiful. Just one thing that always bothers me is why children are allowed where so much alcohol is consumed. Just my personal view. We have done several evening cruises and this one is one of my favorites.

Wonderful experience all around. The food was delicious. A warm evening cruising the river checking out the sights around us. A DJ playing music to dance to if you were inclined. Great evening with family.

I went with my wife… I surprised her for her 40th Birthday the manager made my special request come to life.. the crew also said happy Birthday to her many times and the food was delicious.. The ship crew even got in on the music and had a good time by dancing with the crowd it was amazing

Phenomenal experience. If you left the cruise hungry it was your own dang fault. Great variety and great food. Desserts were scrumptious. DJ played great music and the entire crew was outstanding. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

It was very easy to book this cruise through Viator. It was also cheaper than booking on city cruises.
The food was way better than I expected. The DJ was good. We did a lot of line dances. However he catered to all the people celebrating something. Games on the 3rd deck was cool. The views weren’t anything spectacular. But it is pretty looking at the sunset. Definitely a great date night. Bathrooms were clean. Boat was clean. I suggest booking a Friday night. It wasn’t too crowded. It was just the right amount of people. We celebrated a birthday and she enjoyed herself so a job well done Spirit of Norfolk!!

Wonderful cruise. Great food. Everything was on point, and all the staff were very professional. I recommend anyone go, but bring a partner if you can. It makes the experience much better.

Food was great, cruise was good, enjoyed the atmosphere and other guests. Service was the big fail. The staff was nice but ineffective and the big excuse was "we are short handed". So it took forever to get our drinks and even longer to get them refilled, getting our plates removed, etc. We ordered appetizers that we never received all while one of the staff was on the dance floor.
We enjoyed ourselves but we will not do it again. They need to fix the staffing problem.

This was a fun experience. The food was delicious and the river views were so neat. I will say, any mixed drink we got had no alcohol in it (we ordered a margarita for 2, finished it, and were convinced there wasn’t an ounce of alcohol in that drink). I’d suggest getting beer if you want to get a bang for your buck. The service was great - they had a dance floor, good tunes and foosball on the top deck. Some questionable attire from some guests but overall a good experience. Not sure if this is worth the $90+ per person but it was a fun anniversary dinner for us.

Purchased by mistake, I searched City Cruises website and this website appeared as it was, be aware they can even make any changes, the lady that answered the phone was very rude and unprofessional! call City Cruises directly 😉 because if you sech online you will viator website, they are NOT City Cruises! Worst experience ever.

Food was good boat was clean tour was fun. Was a little loud with talking in restaurant. Glass in restaurant was a little hard to see out due to glare but the top deck was great.

Traffic was a nightmare and when I knew I was still 5 hours away from Nofolk and I would literally arrive as the boat sailed I called Viator who had a representative that couldn't speak english well and when I tried to get her to contact the operator I was told no.. I did understand that much after much struggles, I gave up

The DJ and the music was awesome. The food was not tasty. Everything was spicy. Just go with regular food. It’s much better. The potatos were dry and cold.

I driving lost wrong directions fort and back. Running late almost be there in 4 minutes. I can’t miss tour. Me and my son have enjoyable cruise ship, and Beautiful colorful image with railing of cruise ship, sunset in the ocean. only 2 hours tours but wishing stay more a hours cruise ship. Hahaha. My son is happy his first time driving the ship. Next time we come back again. Thank you, Men Navy!

To start we are visiting, when we got there we were told we had to park in a garage ! Why would you not provide parking?! Then we found a garage walked the 2 blocks to to dock and got our pictures taken before boarding. We were told we had to wait to be invited to the buffet, but could put in our drink order. Keep in mind the cruise cost $300, the included drinks were coffee/tea/ and water! So we both ordered a coffee and a sprit. We both got the sprite, my wife had to ask for her coffee, and I just never got mine ! But don’t worry, the waiter hunted me down to pay the $9 tab for the two sprites we ordered. Now to dinner, the purpose for the cruise, after waiting over an hour, and seeing some people having dessert we asked our waiter if we could eat ! Others had finished and were enjoying the view, he said yes, the hostes came and was pissed saying we needed to be invited, while we waited a third hostess came and released us ! We got to the food, finally, they were completely out of jerk chicken, very few potatoes left and it was the hard ones on the edge. The food was just okay, the dessert was also okay. Then the picture, you would think that for $300 (plus parking and $9 for drinks) you would get a pic! Nope. Gotta pay for those as well, $45 ! This was a terrible experience for us, it was my wife’s birthday and I really wanted it to be special, but this was a big miss for us.
