We had a wonderful day exploring the Amalfi Coast. Giuseppe was right on time picking us up at the cruise terminal, and full of good information about the places we went. We enjoyed the pizza in Portofino and shopping in Amalfi. So glad he was driving! Those are some narrow roads. I would definitely recommend.

We had a wonderful experience. Our driver Francesco helped us get the most out of our busy day by taking a different route and avoiding the traffic and buses! He also brought us to a wonderful place to relax and have lunch with a beautiful view, and pointed out some interesting sites along the way. We had such a great day!

Leave your Naples hotel, the cruise port, or the station at 8:30am. You’ll then leave the city and travel to the Amalfi Coast, the UNESCO-listed stunner of the Campania region.

Step out of your transport for a stroll through the chic town of Positano, and use your hour of free time to wander the streets, admiring its pastel-toned houses, stacked into the cliffs.

Continue to Amalfi, the ancient maritime superpower, and check out its Cathedral of St. Andrew during two hours of free time. Stop for lunch by the marina, and, if you want to see the sights from the water, then hop on a boat for a 30-minute cruise. The boat ride and food are at your own expense.

Finally, you’ll travel to the hilltop town of Ravello. The highest town on the Amalfi Coast, Ravello is known for its views. Soak up the panoramas from Villa Rufolo’s landscaped gardens and the much-loved terrace at Villa Cimbrone.

Return from Ravello in the afternoon, and finish your day trip with a drop-off at the start point in Naples around 5pm.

Giuseppe, our driver was absolutely fantastic! His knowledge of the Sorrento and Amalfi Coasts was amazing! He knew where to stop and gave us excellent advice on where to go in the towns and what the towns were known for.

We had Johnny for our driver and he was wonderful!!! I had an itinerary planned, but when I told him that shopping was my priority, he made suggestions that were spot on, so if you get Johnny, take his advice! Had the best day ever, we shopped in Sorrento (amazing), then we shopped a little in Positano, which was lovely, had lunch along the way at Casa diva overlooking the ocean, then went on to see Amalfi and Reavello. He found great parking spots, was an awesome driver, and let us take extra time when we wanted it. I would highly recommend a day with Johnny!!!!

We had an absolutely incredible experience on our Private Amalfi Coast Tour to Positano, Amalfi, and Ravello — and that was largely thanks to Leo, our amazing driver and guide. Our group of 8 couldn’t have asked for a better person to lead the way! Leo was warm, professional, and incredibly knowledgeable. He shared fascinating insights about each town and knew all the best scenic stops — not the typical tourist traps, but real gems with jaw-dropping views and local flavor. His passion for the region made the whole day feel special. As a wheelchair user, I was especially grateful for Leo’s kindness and attentiveness. He took the time to load and unload my chair with care and never once made me feel like a burden. His respectful, inclusive approach made the tour comfortable and enjoyable for everyone in our group. We always felt safe with Leo behind the wheel, even on the winding coastal roads. He was calm, confident, and always smiling. Every single person in our group walked away raving about this experience — and especially about Leo. If you’re booking this tour, do yourself a favor and request him by name. Prior to my travel we had communication once I said it looked like our ship was going to be late getting to port, but still prior to our meeting time Viator stopped communicating. Since our ship did not stop and it was less than 24 hours which I had absolutely no control of. But as soon as I had internet to contact them I communicated this. Then started getting emails asking to review. I did find where I could ask for a refund I asked, I stated the trouble our ship had and again no response. A day later I looked at the app on previously booked and it shows Refund declined. If it was a deposit or a small amount of money ok but this was $650. USD. Not acceptable to keep the entire cost. And to not have any communication from them or the woman who was to be our driver. If this is how they do business I’ll never book with them again, and I will tell anyone I know to never use them. This was totally out of my control and I desperately wanted to go on this excursion so VERY DISAPPOINTED. Further down they ask for a review title I put VERY DISAPPOINTED and they won’t let you use all caps! Wonder why you don’t want me to be loud with caps. 😡

Dear customer, we have reviewed your statements and compared them with what actually occurred. The day before your tour (less than 24 hours in advance), you informed us that the ship was stuck in Catania due to strong winds. Your message arrived at 10:45 PM, when our offices were already closed. Later, on May 31st at 11:00 AM, you contacted us again to say you had no signal and that your ship would not be stopping in Naples. Since we had not received any prior notification about changes to your ship's itinerary, we were unable to verify whether you would be arriving or not. We waited for over 30 minutes before leaving and tried to call and message you to understand where you were, but you never responded. Unfortunately, we had to consider this a no-show, and in such cases, no refund is due. We’re sorry for the inconvenience you experienced, but we never received any communication from you requesting to cancel the tour. Regards Sara

He was a true gentleman, and did a great job giving us interesting information about each stop on the tour. This was our favorite tour of our cruise. What a fantastic tour! The Amalfi Coast is such a beautiful place with so many stunning sights to see. Vincenzo our tour guide and driver was a bloody legend. We worked out a plan of what we wanted to see and away we went. Through the beautiful countryside admiring the views around every corner. The van was nice and new with great air conditioning for our comfort and our stop for lunch had great food and amazing views. Thanks again for the best tour we have done so far on our trip.

Almalfi is stunningly beautiful but very busy. Be prepared for a lot of driving on very windy roads. 2 out of 4 of us became car sick without ever having experienced this previously. Our driver brought us to a very overpriced restaurant where the fish was NOT fresh as promised. Views were incredible though. I wished I had insisted on more time in Positano instead. Traffic was a major problem. We had one hour in Amalfi and 1 hour 15 minutes in Positano despite being on a whole day trip.

Massimo picked us up with no issues at the Naples port. He was a great driver and we were able to see the town of Amalfi for an hour, make a quick stop for a picture in Positano and had lunch and shopped in Sorrento. I highly recommend this company and that you opt for just 2 stops in the 8 hour time frame if you don't want to be rushed. Traffic and the windy roads aren't fun, but Massimo made the experience so much better! Unfortunately the weather was a bit foggy and very hot, but we still loved experiencing the Amalfi Coast. Grazie!

A spectacular road trip

My 18 year old son and I took this tour just yesterday. It was amazing! Davide was such a wonderful guide—sharing lots of useful information and ensuring we stopped at points that would be interesting for us. We gazed on amazing views, learned about the history of the areas, and tasted foods of the Amalfi Coast—some in locations off the beaten path. We never felt rushed and Davide was an excellent driver, fully aware of the road and making the ride very comfortable. If you are on the fence about whether to book this tour, we highly recommend it! A day with Merco

We loved the fact that our driver, Merco, mastered the curvy roads along the Amalfi Coast. We were able to enjoy the beautiful scenery - water, architecture, and agriculture - without worry. Merco modified his itinerary to match our every request and even added an additional town as time permitted. We even enjoyed Merco’s playlist and turned his vehicle into a karaoke lounge when traffic was not too challenging. A fun and beautiful day for us all!

What a memorable experience we had with Lino our driver!! From the moment he picked us up at the port in his new Mercedes Town Car (only thing missing were massaging seats) and a fresh bottle of water. We were off to the Amalfi coast and all of the wonderful sights to behold. Lino gave us a lot of history and description of the area in his fluent English as we drove out of the city. As we ascended, Lino stopped at many points for us to get out and take photos of the coast. In Conca Dei Marini he inquired if we would like to stop at pottery factory and see a grotto. How could we pass either of those experiences up? On to Almafi where we stopped for lunch, and then we began our way back to the ship port. It was a wonderful tour and for anyone looking into this vs. what your ship is offering, this is the only way to see the Almafi Coast - big tour bus rides are not going to do the Almafi Coast justice, and you certainly won’t be as comfortable or have the possibility of being as lucky as we were to have such a wonderful driver/tour guide as Lino.

My husband and I were greeted at our cruise port by Vincenzo picking us up in his black Mercedes. He customized our time to see Ravello. Amalfi, Positano and Sorrento. He made us a reservation for a wonderful lunch in Sorrento. Our favorite place was Ravello, quiet and quaint! Along our tour he provided interesting facts and stopped for photos in perfect spots. We highly recommend this tour and were very pleased!

Enjoyable day to see/visit the Amalfi Coast during a cruise stop. The driver met us in the port of Naples and drove us to Sorrento, Positano and Amalfi with time in each city. We had lunch at Hotel Costa Diva that we paid for (expensive) and it appeared everyone at the restaurant was with a driver. The driver was professional and efficient. Only a driver - no touring or narration. He would kindly answer questions. I would give this a 5 star review if the driver was more engaging.

Private van tour to Positano

We arrived at our designated meeting spot at 9am. The driver greeted us and asked how many ppl in our group. (I questioned this because I clearly had booked for 8) He said he only saw the booking for 4 ppl. Long story short, he made some calls and 25 mins later a larger van came to get us. We had a 10:30 boat tour we arrived late to. However, the second driver was very kind and let us stay a little longer than planned, so in the end it worked out. My advice - contact the tour with ALL the info and include meeting point, time, people and duration. The first driver blamed Viator for the mess up.

Perfect getaway

We arrived on a cruise ship in Naples and although we knew how long it would take us to go to the Amalfi Coast, we decided to take risks and take that trip to one of our favorite destinations. Our guide Marina was amazing. She took us to the Limoncello factory, told us about the local history as well as the mountains of milk. It made us feel like family and we felt free to talk as if we were old friends. Although a lot of time is lost in the car, the vehicle was extremely comfortable and we were able to enjoy the panoramic views of the Amalfi coast. It was one of my best days in Italy and all thanks to our guide.
