What To Expect

Make your way to the London Dungeon and join the queue. As you cross the threshold, allow yourself to be transported back to the most grisly periods of London’s long history—all based on true events! Top-notch theatrical actors greet you at every turn, reenacting disturbing histories such as Jack the Ripper’s murderous rampage through the Whitechapel slums and Sweeney Todd’s to-die-for coiffure. Come face-to-face with the bloodthirsty barber—and butcher—of Fleet Street, but try to keep your head and not end up in a meat pie!

As you make your way through the dungeons, experience highlights (or lowlights) of London’s history through exceptional stages and special effects. Rile at the smells and sights of the plague and experience the doomed fate of Henry VIII’s victims as you ride through Traitors’ Gate to your death. Learn about the Great Fire of 1666, and discover the absurdity of 18th-century prosecution in an entertaining simulated trial—complete with a mad judge! (Please see full list of attractions in the Itinerary below; subject to change)

Please note: This ticket is only available for purchase online and guarantees entry to the London Dungeon. Tickets purchased at the door will require you to book for the next available slot, which could be much later in the day.

Please note: The Dungeon tour is run in English to cater to the vast majority of visitors. Non-English speakers will still be able to enjoy the sensory nature of the tours but may not experience the attraction in the same way as those proficient in English.

Very immersive experience. The staff does a great job of including the spectators in the event. The atmosphere was excellent. Worth making the time for if you are in the area.

Well worth a visit!

Mirilene_F, Mar 2026
Great theatrical experience - not for young kids though… interesting facts about historical London!!

Lots of fun

Shelley_J, Mar 2026
Having never done it, I had no idea what to expect. I’m a proper scaredy cat in real life so was terrified going around but actually it was lots of fun! Highly recommend but if you are taking children, it’s quite gruesome in places.

Scary stuff

Finlay_S, Feb 2026
I did enjoy parts of it, I never knew how dark that type of history is, I won’t recommend it to those who get scared easily or those with sight issues, they make it very dark and hard to see just to scare you

Excellent experience

LISA_H, Feb 2026
Really enjoyed it! All the actors were excellent, very well done and atmospheric. Well worth a visit!

Intetactive fun way to learn some history

Philippa_D, Dec 2025
I have been multiple times and still enjoy it. An interactive fun way to learn some history. Took a friend who hasn't been before and she loved it

Definitely recommend a great experience

Sarah_R, Dec 2025
This is a fun informative and scary experience. It engages with the public, definitely not for those with a nervous disposition but great fun . It includes a ride and if you go for the scream and spirit package you also great a great cocktails or mocktail of your choice as well as you reflect on the terror and fun x

Great walk through of the bloody London history that isn't Royal related

Liesel_W, Nov 2025
Great service, the actors were all amazing and the interactions in each scenario was great! You can tell there was alot of work put into the building of each scene.

Very entertaining activity. We didn't originally planned for this but my 11 year old son's friend told him about it. Very happy and glad we did it. Kids had a lot of fun.

not for under 12

felicity_h, Nov 2025
the tour is well organised and well run, it is spoilt because its up to the parents discretion to allow young children. They were scared and ruined the experience

Maxine_G, Nov 2025
It wasn't much different to last time I went which was years ago needs to be a few surprises lurking and more scary , spent x lot of time in the pitch black

Excellent Value

A Great Event and Entertainment. So realistic and informative about the time and what happens. Not to be missed

Exciting and thrilling

Madonna_O, Oct 2025
Interactive and exciting with theatrical entertainment with historical facts. Walk through ends with a short but thrilling ride.

Entertaining Way to Learn History of London

Daniel_M, Oct 2025
Nice animated way to learn about London history. The audience is taken through various historical events with scenes and character actors to show what happened to people who lived during that time.

Fantastic. Highly recommend this for anyone travelling to London. Not good for children under 10. Very good actors.

Torture, witchcraft and the ripper, oh my!

Sarah_C, Sep 2025
I throughly enjoyed this experience. The actors in each room were superb. Especially the woman on trial for being a witch. I was put in a cage as the other witch on trial. I jumped a mile when she appeared next to me out of her cage. As a history buff myself this experience was showing the darker side of history. The only drawback was totally out of the actors control which was there was a couple talking loudly during the entire experience. But that wasn’t on the actors because they do ask very politely at the start if you talk to do so quietly not to spoil it for the others on the tour. I’d highly recommend it. Not great for small children or those of a nervous disposition. But brilliant if you are brave enough

Great fun

MARY_C, Sep 2025
This was a fun way to end our last night in London. Entertaining, informational about the dark history of London and got a few good scares and the thrilling ride at the end. A very good cast

I had an issue come up with a cancelled flight and it was handled very welll. Great customer service. Will book again next time I'm in London.

How fun!

Audrey_C, Aug 2025
Walk through the dungeons and experience a theater of stories and history of London. Great fun and the actors were awesome!

Scary but not realistic tour

Marsha_S, Aug 2025
Scary, total black out vision at times and floors shaking, stuff falling off walls, smoke and mirrors.

Kerri_M, Jul 2025
It was fun! Characters did good job and scenes were well done. Even learned some history! The ride ended the experience perfectly!

We are so glad we have been to the dungeons

Su_E, Jul 2025
This is a really good experience. I didn't appreciate that there was a ride at the end that I was unable to go on, however this would not have stopped me going. I was with my adult kids and they really enjoyed the whole thing.

Me and my daughter had an amazing time , definitely worth it . First time we both had been to London dungeons

Great scary history lesson. Fun for all!

Jennifer_L, Jun 2025
If you want a jump scare history lesson this is for you. My teenagers LOVE this exhibit so much my daughter and I did it for a second time. Last time we did it there was a boat ride but this time an elevator ride as the opening. I prefer the boat ride but we still had a great time. Actors are brilliant!

Wow!

Amelia_R, Jun 2025
Such a wonderful experience the staff that performed the segments were so well done and really pulled us in. They were talented and the whole experience was so good i didn’t want it to end!

An entertaining "fright house" experience with a healthy dose of historical storytelling.

Sara_W, Jun 2025
Very entertaining and somewhat informative. The actual "fright factor" was a little lower than expected, but there were some good jump scares and plenty of audience interaction to keep things lively. There are stairs and passageways that could be a little challenging, and the claustrophobia warning is no joke as they do really pack you into some spaces, though we were never so confined as to be actually uncomfortable. The actors, locations, costumes, and effects were all commendable. My personal opinion is that the content is definitely not suitable for younger children.

Outstanding experience

LouAnne_H, Jan 2025
Was an amazing experience. The actors were brilliant and the ride at the end was exhilarating. The history telling incorporated into the acting was interesting as well as amusing
