We pickup from all strip hotels, downtown hotels & hotels located no more than 3 miles away from the strip. For your convenience we run two fleets of Hoover Dam tours each day at 8am & 1pm. The scheduled pickup times that are advertised on Viator are the approximate pickup times but not the exact times. The exact pickup time will be sent to you after your purchased tour is purchased and one day before your tour as well. We use 6 passenger luxury Suv's on every Hoover Dam tour with no more then 3 hotels to pickup from per SUV so your pickup time will be no more than 20 minutes from the advertised times.

It’s a good way to see something off the strip but still have half a day for something else. Everything there is worth seeing. Daniel was a great guide and he even showed us a couple “extras” there and back.

If you need a chauffeur to get you there this is a great choice. Unknown to me at the time of booking, with this "luxury" tour you can't get the full-length dam tour unless you travel in your own vehicle, if the explanation I was given is accurate. So it was fine but expensive considering we already had a rental car. We did have the convenience of being there ahead of the crowds and the driver was extremely friendly and informative but I "assumed" and hoped we would get the full tour inside the dam for the price we paid and was disappointed. I did not make a fully informed decision so I hope this helps.

The driver was very nice. It was definitely much better than being on a bus. I was disappointed when we got there. If you are expecting to actually get to tour the dam this is not what you are going to get. You are going to get a power plant tour. You are NOT going into the dam. After traveling across the country to do this and then not being able to I was disappointed. I did not feel this was made clear in the description when I purchased tickets.

This tour provided a relaxed and comfortable trip to the Hoover Dam with a good overview, history and some fun, not widely known facts. We had two hours to do the Hoover Dam plant tour and walk the dam itself. Plenty of time. Taylor was an authentic, knowledgeable and professional guide. We felt lucky to have had him.

Not sure why out time was changed from 8 to 10. Was told about a tour at dam charge but tours were on going. We wasted 25 minutes in line that could have gone to the exhibits because we got backed behind bus that we thought we were going to miss

Our pick up time changed the day before. The tour guide played a recorded audio on the way out of Vegas that really needs to be re-done. Not sure if we heard facts or conspiracy theories. I left my vest in the SUV and asked them to mail it to me. The response was that was not in their job description. Snacks in the return trip is Rice Krispie squares.

Regarding the matter of your forgotten vest, we understand that you left it behind following the tour. Our driver was unable to return to your hotel due to scheduling and route constraints. We offered the option for you to collect the vest from our office at your convenience.
While we understand your preference to have the vest mailed to you at no charge, our company policy stipulates that the recipient is responsible for covering the shipping costs for lost and found items. Since you indicated that you did not wish to pay for the shipping, we are unable to proceed with mailing the item.
We appreciate you letting us know that you enjoyed the tour overall. We value your business and hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back in the future.
We had many item left behind but we didn't have any problem returning them, and they can also pick up at our office location but you want it to mailed it to you with no cost to you.
You leave us a bad review because of your vest but you didn't even mention that you enjoyed the tour just like what the other group did. We cant satisfied everyone, but thank you for choosing us.

This is a very nice way to see the dam. Take the morning tour that leaves the strip at 8 AM. You get to the dam before all the larger tour groups and buses get there. The SUV is very comfortable. There was just one other couple with us and they were very nice.
Our driver was right on time to pick us up and was very pleasant. He was not as knowledgeable as you might want but he was friendly and got us wh we re we needed to go.
The tour itself is very informative and led by US National Park guides. It is an engineering marvel and very impressive.
The tour operator was not as communicative as it needed to be. There was some problem with our original tour date but they didn't reach out to tell us about it until late afternoon the day before. They wanted to reschedule us to the next day which fortunately still worked for us.
Even with the communications issues it was still well worth it to see the dam this way.

Great experience. Got to Hoover Dam early, no lines for tour, just enough free time. Sammy was awesome, friendly and helpful. Hoover Dam is an amazing site and American Engineering and construction achievement. A must see!

We booked this excursion 3 months in advance. The night before at 815pm they texted me saying they were having trouble and needed us to go on Tuesday instead of Monday. We rearranged our schedule to accomadate, then on Monday afternoon they texted us to say they canceled due to the Formula one race. This is scheduled each year in November, something they should have known. Funny thing is we used Uber out of our hotel and never had any issue. Sadly I do not recommend them.

We truly apologize for canceling your tour. This does not occur too often but we do need to cancel at times due to certian events, weather etc. What happened was that on the night before your tour, the local news media announced that the strip was going to be reduced to one lane for three days because they needed to complete the setup for the formula one race. During this upcoming event the strip would be completely shut down during the week of the race. What they did not say was that they were referring to one side of the strip not both sides of the strip. Because they did not specify which side of the strip would be reduced to one lane, this caused us to believe that they were referring to both sides of the strip because that is what they did during the last two years. During that time the strip was reduced to only one lane on both sides of the strip and it turned into a nightmare. Those previous years, traffic was gridlocked on both sides of the strip causing our guests to miss their reservations which was a huge inconvenience. It took our drivers 45 minutes to drive past two hotels. A few months ago the local news media reported that they were going to do a better job this year and they were not going to reduce both sides of the strip to only one lane at the same time which caused traffic chaos. Because they said that the strip was going to be reduced to one lane and did not specify one side of the strip, we feared the worst and decided to cancel all tours on those days as not inconvenience our guests and their other reservations. This simple mistake caused many tour companies to do the same and we truly apologize for canceling your tour the day before your tour date. Please contact us again and we will issue you a 50% discount voucher good for two years should you decide to return.

We had a great time. Our driver was safety conscious and knowledgeable about the surroundings along the route. The tickets to the dam were included which was convenient once we arrived. The Hoover Dam itself as an absolutely incredible structure and engineering marvel especially when considering the time it was built.

On time pickup, comfortable car, safety aspects covered, car is equipped with safety cameras. The tour guide (Sammie) was great, very knowledgeable and a safe driver. We enjoyed the tour very much. We had another group with us so if you don’t want another group added you should book it as a private tour.

This was the best experience yet! Our 15th trip to Vegas and first trip to the Dam. Daniel was our driver and he was amazing. Very knowledgeable on the history of the Dam, Boulder City and Las Vegas. Me and my husband loved the Vegas trivia. The tour was the perfect amount of time (3 hours pick up to drop off and return). The ease of pick up/drop off made it easy. The tour to the Hoover Dam was exceptional in every respect. LT, our driver and guide, was extremely informative and personable. The family of three we were paired with in the “private luxury SUV tour” included a husband and teenage son that clearly had no concept of showering or what soap is. They smelled so terrible in the SUV and so badly during parts of the tour and in the elevator of the dam we had to do all we could to distance ourselves. This was unbelievable and a complete let down. The driver needs to have some level of discretion when admitting people into a vehicle. Would he have allowed an intoxicated person?
The tour guide Daniel was very nice and very kind. However, to say I was impressed with the local knowledge or history of the dam and the impacts of it is an overstatement. He was a good driver and the ride was comfortable enough in the way back row of a normal suburban SUV.
My recommendation would be to hire an Uber black car, buy your own bottle of water and rice Kristen treat and ride with your party for the same price.

First you didn't purchase a private tour. You booked for a shared tour, which is why you are paired with them. And second, we can't control other people on how they should smell. If you booked for a private tour you wouldn't have to be with other guest its a shared tour. Thank you.
(FYI) you can get an Uber but you chose us because no Uber driver can wait there and pay parking for 3 hours while your on tour. And ypu can get an Uber to go there but its not guaranteed that you can get an Uber back to your hotel. But we hope you enjoyed your entire vacation in Vegas.
