Great KC Creative Activity for Locals and Visitors

    Dana_H, Dec 2025
Far more than I expected. A real artisan studio and show room. A brush with the high-fashion world. They had another class making holiday ornaments out of leather that we switched over to as the jewelry class is available all year round. Very creative and educational. Our Educator/Artist has a formal education background so it waa well organized too.

Glad you had a great time! Come back again for more classes!

    Fun class !

Overall fun experience , love the workshop. Probably could have used a bit more instruction on getting started( shown examples ) . Small group was great tho, and gave ample time to make something ( even stayed over a little ) .

    Creative family time

We had a great time working in the workshop! It's interesting to know the story behind the brand. They give you plenty of tools and scraps to sort through and they let you loose with your imagination. Took the family and was a nice experience.

Area for this experience was a very cool brick building in a leather furniture store warehouse. Lots of bars and lounges to walk to afterwards. I gave this three stars because there was no guidance or a specific item we were making at this jewelry making experience. We were given tools we didn’t know how to use, scrap leather pieces to pick from and that’s it. We had no idea what to make and the host asked us to look up ideas online. Also it mentioned wine tasting and they only had half a bottle of red left for 8 people in the group. We had to serve ourselves. It just was not described correctly in the online description that it is not a guided class, more of a “creative” use our leather scraps left over.

    Fun event.

My granddaughter and I went for a girls night. I was in KC for her graduation. We enjoyed the group setting and had a blast trying to be artistic. Enjoyed the local Wine during the event.

It was a unique experience to share on a “sisters” vacay. The story behind the biz is fascinating. More samples would be helpful for those of us who don’t readily access our own design ideas….. and more wine please! Haha! I can see why wine is limited due to the tools and procedures - but perhaps relabel and don’t label the event as a “wine tasting.” Also, maybe prepare participants that the jewelry is actual made with leather! It’s a cool story, cool product. On the other hand, I may not have opted for it if I knew it was going to be jewelry made with leather - but I’m so glad I did!!! It was a memorable evening. Thank you!

Thanks for the feedback, Tracy! We had three varieties to try during the party, and we’ll work with our local winery to get more.

Loved the small class and location. The host, John, did a great job giving background to the company and instructions on how to do the projects. Will definitely be back.
