We had a great time driving through the Homer area. Grace took us to some beautiful lookout spots. The history of the area was really interesting. We are so glad we made the trip and booked this tour!

Tour was enjoyable and well paced. Lots of good info about Homer. It was a surprise to get such good pictures after tour was over.

We had a good time but the description of this tour is very misleading. This is mostly a photography tour with some opportunities to see wildlife- mostly birds at approved nature sites. Homer isn’t a massive town and we felt we could have found all of the spots without paying 199.00 a person. The van was clean and plenty of options for snacks and restroom breaks.

At times we have found visitors to be less than satisfied due to our far North West Pacific weather. Our area is surrounded by wilderness and possess an abundance of wildlife and geological wonders such as glaciers.
Unfortunately we cannot guarantee all sightings will be viewed since conditions varies by season, ocean tides, safety, third party groups and powerful Alaska weather conditions that can be mild-to-harsh year round.

Fun, great way to see Homer. Very knowledgeable tour guide. Very new and clean van. Lots of bathroom stops. Great photos.

So glad we picked this tour. Aaron, our driver was great. He scouted the area before and knew where to take us for great scenery and animals. We were able to see a chain of volcanoes on a beautiful clear day, Sandhill cranes, trumpet swans and many eagles. He took pictures of us with a much better camera than our phones and shared them with us later. He also recommended places to eat on the Spit. I would recommend this tour.

We had a great day off the ship in a small van with Grace. She had a fabulous knowledge of wildlife, history and the general area, and we made several stops to spot wildlife. We also spent about a half an hour in Old Homer and another 30 minutes walking Bishop’s Beach. All in all a very very good day.

We had a great trip with Pictours Alaska featuring a friendly and enthusiastic guide in Captain C, a small group of 8 of us from our cruise ship, and some amazing weather. We saw great scenery from a range of viewpoints and some wonderful wildlife spotting with a large group of sea eagles along the shore (as well as one very close to outside the ladies’ restroom!!), and some moose in the bushes beside the road.
