Itinerary
Make your own way to Homer Alaska Airport to meet your pilot–guide. Receive a safety briefing and orientation, then board your bush plane.
Alaska's coastal brown bears follow their food source, which moves from clamming and sedge meadows in the spring, to chasing wild salmon later in the summer. Depending on the seasonal migration, you'll fly to either Katmai National Park and Preserve or Lake Clark National Park and Preserve.
En route to your destination, gaze down at large glaciers and lava flows from old volcanic eruptions, hearing commentary about the landscape from your pilot–guide. When you land, you can expect ample time on the ground in the habitat of the wild bears before returning in your aircraft to Homer.
Be prepared to hike up to three miles (4.8 km), walking over uneven, soft, or muddy terrain to designated lookout platforms with excellent viewing opportunities of grizzlies in their natural environs—sightings guaranteed. Your guide provides a thorough review of safe bear–viewing practices.
Please note: bear spray and fish products of any kind are prohibited on this tour.

ONCE IN A LIFETIME EXPERIENCE! A must do when traveling to Homer, Alaska.. You won’t be disappointed once you spend time with these beautiful Brown Bears, I assure you. My husband and I decided to book this trip after a suggestion of a friend we worked with. I am so glad we did, it was phenomenal. The photos we took and the knowledge we obtained from our guide was amazing.. I know you can book this specific tour through multiple companies in Homer and Seward, Alaska.. Adventure Airways is the way to do it. They definitely had a family business vibe that was personal to them, making sure that their customers were 100% satisfied with their experience. It was one of the best experiences of our lives. You won’t be disappointed.
