Take to the water for an adrenaline-fueled whitewater rafting adventure along the Upper Pigeon River. Enjoy spectacular views of the Smoky Mountains as you paddle through the gorge, tackle more than a dozen thrilling Class III and IV rapids such as ‘Snapdragon’ and ‘Powerhouse’, and perhaps jump in to cool off with a swim.

- Guests will then meet their personal guide and recieve the necessary equipment Including: life jacket, helmet and paddle.
- Not wheelchair accessible
- After your guide double-checks to make sure all equipment is fitted properly, guests then hop on our bus for a short 10-minute ride to the launching point for your trip.

It wasn’t nearly as long as advertised but still fun. We were only on water for 40 min and advertised as 1.5 hr which was disappointing.
Expect to wear close toed shoes which will get soaked unless want to pay $18 for a pair or water shoes.

Fun time rafting, Justin our guide was funny, gave great insights, and helped us hit some fun drops. Be prepared to get wet (bring a towel and change of clothes) and have an exhilarating time!

Rafting was a BLAST, but 100% of the fun was due to our guide! Don’t get my wrong it is 100% worth doing just for the experience, but the guide defiantly made it 10x the experience!! Jason takes the path less traveled and it’s 100% worth it SCREAMING AND ALL!!!!!

We loved surfing on the rapids. Much better than other rafting experiences we’ve been on. Our guide Shane was definitely knowledgeable and made us feel like he knew what he what he was doing and put us at ease.

Mitch was fantastic! Very informative and fun! We thought there might be more rapids, but it was fun. The ad said 3 hours long. Was no more than 2 from beginning to end, including the safety instructions and shuttle.

It was an awesome experience!! Elton is an excellent guide!! My family had a blast and Elton was not only a professional when it came to rafting he also was very knowledgeable about the history of the river and was super friendly. We will definitely go again and will request Elton!!

We had a blast on the river and the guides were good. The issue I have is with the description on Viator - we specifically looked for a longer river tour and Viator said "3 hours" when we got to the office they told us the river trip was only 1.5 on river and a 1.5 hour "training" and we felt like the wording on the website was deceptive. PLEASE, write the correct info! This was annoying!

Guides were nice.. manager - not so much. No notice of footing required(and shown with information that was sent to us) so we were charged for shoes upon arriving. Even after mentioning that if I could show the info was neglected). It was shown that we were not informed of this required equipment and not even a discount or partial credit afforded to my large, single parent, military family ?!?! That was an extra $80 bucks and zero regard was given to update, correct, or inform the 3rd party reservation vendor- Viator (to help future people avoid this costly surprise). That was a huge cost and disappointment for my family.
So make sure to bring close toed shoes if you weren’t informed!!!
