Overview

There is no better way to explore the Tuscan countryside than by bike, but the hills can be a challenge to all but the most avid cyclists. On this tour, set out from Fiesole on board an e-bike to tackle the rolling landscape with ease. ALL PARTICIPANTS MUST BE ABLE TO RIDE CONFIDENDLY A BIKE, AND TO BE IN GOOD HEALTH.
Participants, especially the youngest ones, are required to conduct a safe bike driving and keep a perfect balance on their bike, and they must be able to ride on public roads, on secondary paved roads which are not always in perfect conditions, on downhill roads that can be steep at times.

A minimum of 2 participants (excluding the tour leader) is required. There is a possibility of cancellation after confirmation if there are not enough participants. In the event of this occurring, you will be offered an alternative or full refund.
Our company reserves the right to deny the bike tour to individuals, both adults and children, who are unable to ride a bicycle safely. In the event of such circumstances, the entire tour amount will be retained, and there is no possibility of a refund.

We recommend wearing cycling shorts
The connection between Fiesole and the center of Florence is very convenient, even by public bus. 7 days a week the bus (number 7, Autolinee Toscane - AT), urban ticket price € 1.70, leaves every 15 minutes and reaches the other location in less than 20 minutes (last ride from Fiesole to Florence is at 01:00am). The Fiesole stop is the last on the bus route. Tickets MUST BE VALIDATED ONCE BOARDED.

Giovanni is an excellent tour guide. The bikes were great. He started us with a practice going up and down hills and that really helped. It wasn’t bad as we got really a hang of it. We went as a family of 4 ( 12 yr old and 13 yr old) and they were fine. The bigger bikes have more turbo boost help for the up hills which was amazing. Giovanni made us comfortable and safe. He showed and explained so much history of Fisole that we never knew! The views were INCREDIBLE! A must do for adventurous travelers!

What an amazing experience, top to bottom! First and foremost, Giovanni is a true gem! He takes such great care to ensure you are having a good time, that you are safe and that everything is as planned. I have done tons of bike tours in various Countries, he was the best guide I have ever had. Then the bike ride is amazing, and a great getaway from the City with tons of beautiful scenery. Finally, the farm lunch is delicious and unbelievably picturesque. 10 out of 10 across the board!!

This was the absolute highlight of a trip that was already filled with amazing experiences. Giovani is an excellent guide who takes a lot of care to ensure everyone’s comfort and safety. He is native to the area and well educated on the history of all the places he takes you. You always hear how beautiful the Tuscan countryside is, but no photos can ever do it justice. It is truly a magical place and seeing it outside by bike is so much better than just driving. The stops at the farm and winery were pleasant and peaceful - and the food was very fresh and satisfying without being too heavy. The e-bikes were high quality and made it possible to travel comfortably on the very hilly terrain. One thing to know is that even though the e-bikes help a *lot*, and Giovani builds in regular breaks - the tour is still a significant workout and the bikes must be pedaled. You don’t need to be an athlete at all, but you do need to be generally healthy and fit to complete the ride. But otherwise, you should not hesitate to book this tour. It is incredible and worth every dime!

This was a really fun day out and away from Florence for me and my husband. Giovanni was terrific-knowledgeable and personable. He was also very prepared with extra gloves and windbreakers to make sure his guests were warm. I wish I had asked him to take photos of us along the way, but I was probably too cold to stop!

Giovanni was amazing. If you are staying in Florence and want to spend a day biking in the Tuscan Hills - it is a must. Giovanni has been giving tours for over 10 years. He has a limit of four riders per tour. When I showed up, it was just me (November) and it didn't matter. His ebikes are in great shape, he had asked my height in advance so the seat was ready to go. It was a little chilly and he had extra gloves and a windbreaker. We rode a round trip 20 miles to and from Fiesole to a monastery overlooking all over Florence and back. On the way back we stopped at a farm stand that had a to go lunch of bread, tomatoes and cheese waiting for us. We stopped at a winery to eat lunch and sample their new wines. Getting to Fiesole was easy. I took a cab from central Florence on the way there (about 15-minute ride) and the #7 bus on the way back.

Definitely worth doing this excursion. Giovanni is not only super knowledgeable about his city, but also is very attentive and kind. This was my first time on an e-bike and he was extremely understanding and made sure I (and everyone else) was comfortable for the entire ride. He provided a lot of interesting historical facts and the views were beautiful. Also, the wine and farm food were absolutely amazing! I would definitely suggest already being an active person prior to this trip. I'm pretty active, but not much of a biker and did fine (aside from a sore tush at the end of the day!), but I could see it being more difficult for someone who isn't already pretty active, even with the turbo e-bike settings.

E-bikes are amazing, but you will need to mash the pedals in a few places. Views are breathtaking and the lunch was authentic and delicious. The history and background Giovanni gave us along the way was both interesting and thorough. He was also very in tune with us as riders and made sure we were safe and aware the entire time. We made stops along the way for pictures and questions, which made the ride very doable. Get a few rides in before you tackle this tour if you’re not a regular biker. As I mentioned, e-bikes are great but you still have to pedal. In summary, TOTALLY worth it. Thank you, Giovanni!

This tour was the true “under the Tuscan sun”. Small group which made it very enjoyable and Giovanni took the time to work with every riders skill level so the whole group was comfortable. He led us on a fantastic tour of the Tuscan countryside with a great lunch of bread, cheese, and some local produce. We sampled local wine and olive oil at a farm house in the countryside giving a glimpse of the life in Tuscany. I highly recommend the tour, you won’t be disappointed.

This was the highlight of our trip to Italy! My husband, our two teenage sons (14 & 17) and I loved the views, the history, and the delicious local farm food that we ate near the end of the tour. Even with e-bikes, you will need some endurance. The ride can be quite strenuous due to the incline of the hills and the length of the ride. Giovani was a great host and was very informative on the history of the area, which he grew up in. He was also very attentive to our needs and made sure that we were safe and comfortable.

I’m a world traveler and this is a top 5 experience! Beautiful countryside, knowledgeable guide and his communication during the ride on an active roadway kept me feeling safe. I think I caught bugs in my teeth from the big smile during the entire ride. This is a must do! The #7 bus from Florence is easy and drops you right in front of the meet up place.

Fall in love with Tuscany!

This trip was easily one of my favorite ever. Giovanni leads you through the town of Fiesole (older than Florence!) and then the Tuscan country side, weaving together history from Etruscans, Romans, Middle Ages, Dante, Renaissance, all the way to to world war II. Roads are paved with only the occasional passing car, and the e-bikes make the hills a breeze. On the way back, he stopped at a farm stand for fresh baked bread, tomatoes, and apricots, and we are at a farm house just up the road. The temperature in Florence was about 97 degrees, but it felt lovely in the hills. All in all, a lovely, serene day, that makes it easy to understand how people fall in love with Tuscany. Can't recommend highly enough!!! (Also, don't be scared to take the bus to Fiesole, the number 7 bus comes at least every 20 minutes, and Fiesole is the last stop. It's a beautiful bus ride just for the scenery, and a bargain at less than 2 euros.)

Fantastic experience with Massimiliano as our guide! I was there with my teenage daughter (the other two people were an older couple). The bikes were great and easy to use, the views amazing, and the visits to a farm and a monastery were lovely. Massi was super attentive and went out of his way to make everyone feel comfortable during the ride (he also knows a lot about native plants and local history). He cycles in the area regularly so he’s very knowledgeable and keeps everyone safe. One of my favorite experiences of the trip, highly recommend!

A must-do unique experience

This was one of the coolest activities we did while in Florence. Perfect way to see the Tuscan countryside with great views of Florence. Giovanni was so professional and helpful. We started out with a little walk around Fiesole and history of the town. Then we practiced riding and he explained everything so well. We were a family of four (11&13 year old girls) and everyone had the best time. Our 11 year old was nervous at first about the turns but Giovani placed her right behind him and made sure she knew what to expect. She is a good bike rider so I was confident she could handle the ride. He just gave her the extra confidence to get her going and she did great. The cars are very respectful of the many bikes on the road and Giovanni made sure we were always safe. We were in good hands with him and the e-bike made all the hills very manageable. Pedaling was slow and steady and the landscape changed from up and down hills so got some good breaks. We also stopped a few times so not 4 hours of riding straight. The stop at the farm for picnic was magical and worth every penny. Truly farm to table. I highly recommend this activity for families with older kids looking to explore Tuscany is a different way.

WOW! This was truly one of the highlights of our entire 2 week trip to Italy! Giovanni was our owner/guide and he was amazing, helpful, fun, informative. I almost cancelled thinking it wouldn't be something special and I'm so glad I didn't. Getting out of the city was such a nice break. The countryside is beautiful. Lunch eating some local charcuterie, wine and olive oil was a perfect break. It's not a scooter you are on so you will have to pedal and it is a bit of a workout, but the motor assists you and you can cover a lot of ground. If we get back to Firenze we will definitely look Giovanni up again for another ride. Grazie mille!

Fantastic tour from a local - born and bred in the region. Just sharing his passion of his locality. Great insight into the reality of the artists in the area. Be warned, you will be saddle sore if you have not cycled in a long time. This is not for the faint hearted. However, I loved it, esp the farm visit. Very authentic tour. God speed and enjoy x
