Who knew that the best way to see Florence was on a bike? It might seem overwhelming to navigate the busy streets, but its doable and pretty safe. Our family of 4 ( 13 & 11 yr old) had a great time. Julia was kind and extremely knowledgeable. If we had been spending more time in Florence I would have booked more tours with her.

First, I must say that I was the only participant who showed up for this tour. The guide, Julia, was so gracious she agreed to take me regardless. It turned into a private tour and much more, pointing out all the locations I needed to find that week.
Unless you really enjoy walking, cycling is absolutely the way to go in this city. Not only can you see so much it’s The ultimate way to gain locational perspective. Simply put, I could not enjoy my time in Florence nearly so much as I have without the experience of this tour. Thank you. Thank you.

Beautiful sites!
However, I’ve done this tour on several other trips and it was so much more successful. Probably because the #of people in the bike group were better managed. Keep in mind bike tours can be a hit or miss based on the number of bikers and also their ability to navigate through the crowded streets (in this case Florence). The more people in the group the more complicated it gets. Our tour guide seemed to do her best in trying to keep us together while educating us about the tour but fell short. We missed a lot of what she was saying. Lastly, there were people in our tour who were riding relatively dangerous, and as a result, compromised the people behind them. For instance, three girls were taking pictures of each other while they were riding. One of them almost ran into a sign and avoided it within a split second. All of this bike behavior threatened anyone who was behind them. Of course, the tour guide was oblivious to any of this. I have experienced other bike tours when they had an additional tour guide “bringing up the back” when there was a large group of riders. If we had an additional guide on the back some of this reckless behavior could have been avoided and the tour more successful. Safety is paramount for me! My recommendation would be to engage in small group rides.

Taking a bike tour around Florence was one of the best decisions of our trip! It’s such a great idea—riding a bike lets you see so many different parts of the city quickly, without feeling rushed. We were able to cover historic landmarks, charming side streets, and even spots we wouldn’t have discovered on our own.

This is a great way to learn about Florence and see all the sights early in your trip. Our guide Julia was spectacular. She provided us with the history and information of all the major sights and she did it in a fun and entertaining way. We loved the tour.

Lovely ride - particularly to the Piazzale Michelangelo - comprehensive commentary throughout - would have liked to have a more than the exact 2 hour allocation, maybe with a coffee stop. Guide disappeared before we had chance to say goodbye and consider leaving a tip.

This would be a really fun experience…if there was no one in Florence. We rode through insanely busy areas (near the Duomo and other plazas). Our tour guide would just jump on her bike and take off, sometimes in front of a car or a group of people crossing the street, leaving us all behind and then she wouldn’t look back to make sure we were all behind her. Also we didn’t even go to Piazzale Michelangelo.

Sadly, the most memorable parts of this experience were feeling extremely anxious and unsafe. Florence is beautiful and VERY crowded, so in retrospect bicycles may not be the best way to tour the city. At the start of the tour, our guide took off without so much as a glance behind. This set the tone for the entirety of the tour. The guide would stop on a dime without warning, would make sudden turns on busy streets without mentioning the upcoming turn or using any hand signals, and consistently took off without a word of warning. or seeing if we were behind him. We would constantly have to avoid pegging pedestrians. While the guide's depth of knowledge of Florence history is clear, his delivery was dry and repetitive. By the end of the tour, I was completely stressed out and miserable. Of our two week trip, this was the least favorite tour and also the first negative review I've ever left. (This was in stark contrast to a 5-hour bike tour in Rome where the guide had our safety and comfort in mind).

There was very little instruction on how to use the ebike for riding in such congested areas for the tour. We were not provided helmets & were on some busy roads so it was a bit dangerous but luckily we were not hurt. Guide was knowledgeable but it was very difficult to.pay attention to him since we were always dodging people, cars, strollers & other bikers trying to keep up with the guide.

Our family loved three bike tour. My kid - 12 and 9 - had a blast. Our guide was so knowledgeable and passionate about Florence and it's history. He had so many fun facts. It was wonderful to get the Kai of the land. Since we were only in Florence for 2 days, this bike tour have us a chance to see so much. And it was a great way to get to piazza Michelangelo. We had fun and felt safe too.

I had high hopes for this tour as I generally enjoy bike tours. While our guide was very knowledgeable about Florence, the overall tour felt unorganized and had a lack of responsibility.
1. We had two kids, 7 and 8 and I had reached out about them asking if there were tandem bikes. The answer was no. I then had to ask if there were bikes for kids, they said yes.
1. When we arrived, it took us over 20minutes to get our bikes. The kids got their own bikes but then I saw that some bikes had extra seats in the back. I asked if we could use those bikes instead of having the kids ride their own and only then did they say yes. I felt like there was absolutely no help from the company on making sure we had a good experience with our kids unless we asked.
3. I’m so glad the kids were able to ride with us because the tour includes a massive uphill ride that was not listed in the description. It was 90+ degree weather and a third of the group had to walk up the hill
4. The guide never looked back to make sure the group crossed the street safely or if everyone in the group was following. He just kept going…
5. Someone in our group couldn’t keep up due to the street lights and the guide didn’t notice until 10minutes later. He asked where she was and when I told him he should go look for her, his response was “How?” Luckily, the group member was able to make her way back herself no thanks to the guide.

Our small group tour was in two sections. The first was with a very knowledgable young gentleman who took us to all the important sites and knew every single piece of history. He was also very pleasant and a good cyclist. You have to be careful biking with the traffic.
The Second optional part of our tour was to cycle up to Piazza Michaelangelo with the owner Julia, who was lovely! Hard work but worth it! You can walk your bike up if you need. Would highly recommend this tour, especially when you first arrived to get to know the various neighbourhoods and important sites to visit on your trip

We loved our bike tour through Florence and our tour guide, Giulia did a fabulous job! Our family of six with four teenagers all enjoyed the tour and appreciated it being fast paced with high energy. We rode to many of Florence’s historical spots where we stopped so Giulia could share the background and history of each. She was fun, friendly, and patient as the three families on the tour biked along our path. I highly recommend this tour as a fun, interactive way to get to know Florence - especially with older kids.

Great way to start our stay in Florence! Lorenzo was our guide and he was so knowledgeable and friendly. The tour was the perfect amount of time and gave us a few ideas of places we wanted to revisit on our own. We went in the morning and it was perfect temperature and the streets weren't too busy. Would 100% recommend!

The bike tour was an excellent introduction to Florence and its history, covering significant sites on both sides of the river. Highly recommended! This is a good way to get around the city and see many things. Our guide was very knowledgeable. The only downside is that riding a bicycle in Florence is a little risky due to the number of tourists walking around and cars and taxis on the roads.

Matteo was a very informative and passionate guide. As there was only the two of us he refined the trip to our physical limitations which was thoughtful and considerate. This was definitely a highlight of our trip. The bikes were well maintained and comfortable.

Great tour with Rafaelo, he provided some very interesting highlights we would never have known had we not done a tour with him.
Little tricky riding in crowds of people, so if doing the tour with young kids make sure they’re competent riders, but overall highly recommended.
