Prior to the days leading up to our we were not given a ticket. Just prior to the event we were given a meeting location. But, sent to me through a different website. Very confusing to meet at location to get tickets. I have used Skip The Line before for tickets and was very easy. Not this one.
An address or something that tells you where to
Pick up tickets purchased on line. Never found the tickets. So we were not able to do the tour but you got my money. A bust for me.
Something I missed when reading the instructions for this tour is that they send you a QR code as opposed to going to the meeting spot sometimes. The code may come through on WhatsApp or regular text message. I didn’t want this to happen to anyone else. Also, there is a dress code for the cathedral. Pants/skirts must be knee length and shoulders must be covered. Overall, it was an amazing tour and is a good price to access everything. The Cathedral is free, so keep that in mind if you only want to do the Cathedral.
The Duomo Crypt was a pleasant surprise. I had visited the Duomo many years ago, but this was a new (relatively speaking) experience. The day we visited, there were very long lines and our tour ticket gave us no advantage. We had to go to the end of the long line. We did find a person who represented the tour company, but only after using our cell phone to call him. He was of almost no help other than to tell us that we needed to get at the end of the long line. That was the first and last we saw of him. The people in front of us in line said they went directly to the website for the Duomo where they purchased their tickets for about half the price we had paid. Their tickets provided access to the same things we were allowed to see with our tickets. I felt that we paid nearly double for no apparent reason. Another problem with purchasing from this company was that they only sent the tickets the day before we were to take an early morning tour. We were unable to access the internet to get our tickets until we actually were in line to enter. We were having a problem getting wi-fi while at the Duomo. Only with a last minute miracle did we find our tickets. I DO NOT RECOMMEND PURCHASING THESE TOUR TICKETS UNLESS YOU JUST WANT TO GIVE AWAY MONEY FOR NO BENEFIT. Seek out the Duomo website and purchase your tickets there.
We booked tickets online for Florence: Santa Maria del Fiore (the Duomo) Cathedral, Crypt from Santa Reprata, Baptistry and Museum Entry ticket package from Tourify Tours, as a self-tour. The booking overcharged for our 1 year old grandchild. The website lacked a free child option, forcing us to pay adult rates. I paid the adult price anyway to avoid entry issues, but customer service never responded to our messages about the glitch. Fortunately, right after booking, they texted us the actual entry tickets with clear instructions. The next day—the day of the tour—they followed up with a WhatsApp call. The agent couldn't fix the price, but the smooth entry and amazing Duomo visit earned them a good rating.

The Duomo museum is the best part of the site. You could skip the inside of the Duomo church and avoid wasting more than an hour waiting in line
Nice buildings and worth a visit but the communication overall is surprisingly poor in terms of content. Lots of “communication” but nothing that actually provides a CLEAR outline of exactly where to go and what to do. We queued for the best part of an hour and only discovered at the entrance that we were actually in the correct queue. My last time using Viator for sure (twice during the same trip where I feel that I have been messed around).

Beautiful building inside and out, the crypt was fascinating and the inside of the dome was breathtaking. Easy to book, communication from Viator was excellent and it was easy to find where to collect our tickets.
This was a horrible experience. I was traveling with a friend who was unable to enter the Duomo despite having a valid ticket. The visitors services assistant were unbelievably rude and disrespectful and would not help at all to validate my friend’s ticket.

We are glad we saw it but it was disappointing compared to the other cathedrals we have seen in Tuscany. No seats to just sit and observe and contemplate. Got the sense we were to look and move on. We did not see the baptistery because it required another line to wait in. We were tired from other tours so opted to skip. You can read other reviews on that piece of it
Self guided tour was good for my first day, nice and I wish I had known which order and where to go as the building complex is massive! Next time i will schedule a guided tour for assistance and information on the cathedral.
It was nice to have the tickets sent to us in advance but once we got to the Duomo it was very difficult to know where to go because despite the signs there were not actual employees available to assist us. Once I found a person with a badge who worked there we were able to get to the handicapped entrance.

The experience with Viator was perfect: clear and timely information and practical and functional tikets
Florence Duomo Cathedral’s architecture especially on the outside is so detailed and absolutely stunning.
Once inside the Cathedral must go down into the Crypt; so much history.
Baptistry and Museum also a must visit
Skip the line tickets were provided well in advance so we just showed up at the appointed time and went in. Very easy!
The bus trip to and from was just over an hour. There was about a 1km walk to the site. The guide was informative. There was free time to enable us to get a ticket to climb the bell tower. This was an afternoon tour so returned early evening. A good tour with nothing to worry about but be aware of the 1km walk to and from. Would recommend this tour to those wanting to avoid having to plan travel and tickets.
The small group was excellent. It’s the best way to really get around quickly and be able to ask questions easily. Our guide Katarina was just so knowledgeable, engaging, easy to understand, and did I say knowledgeable??? She gave the right info we needed! Would recommended 10/10

Easy to find him. Seamless transition to get tickets. Then waited in line. It was a cool thing to see. But this is just tickets from them.
It’s a scam. I’ll never book through Viator again. It turns out that visiting the Duomo is free. No where to “redeem” ticket. Address given doesn’t exist. We will apply for a full refund
Lack of signs in the crypt made that part of this unguided tour somewhat difficult to identify the tombs & relics. Otherwise we liked the flexibility of the unguided tour as we could move at our own pace.
The bar code voucher you are emailed is not a ticket recognized by any ticket exchange place - we visited all four around the Duomo after first standing in the entrance line and being turned away. You must find a random guy holding a piece of paper with four symbols - one is Viator. Then he sends you a QR code via WhatsApp. It took an hour to figure this out, we missed the entrance time, and bought other Baptistry tickets just so we could see something.

The process for entry went smoothly. We have been to Florence several times but this was our first time to tour the duomo, crypt and baptistery. We enjoyed it very much.
I basically paid a lot of money to avoid one queue. We could go fast into the cathedral; no problem but we had to queue (long time) to go up to the tower. To go in to the Baptistery was faster but we were only made aware that it was under renovation after paying for the tickets. The whole experience was somehow disappointing.

The exterior of the Cathedral is more decorative than the inside. The Crypt was really interesting. Fabulous museum. The Baptistry was also excellent but is undergoing some refurbishment at present.
Claudia was a fantastic guide. Our family had a great time touring Pisa, Sienna, and San Gimignano. She was very knowledgeable and had good insights. This day trip was a highlight of our time in Florence.
The Duomo was very, very crowded but the information in the crypt made the visit worthwhile. The church proper was much plainer than I expected but still interesting because of all the history connected to it.
It was so lovely and we enjoyed doing it at our own pace without a tour guide. Buying the tickets ahead of time is definitely the way to go. The lines was backed up behind the building and down the street! What a time saver to go straight to entrance line.
Watch out for EU tours. We unfortunately did not get to take this tour as they poached us by saying our tour was a scam and they had reported them to the police The tour guide was very attentive and tried to reach us via phone and text .
