One of my favorite churches and a visit is a must when in Florence! There are so many well known legends who call Santa Croce their resting place. From Galileo, Dante Aligheri, Marconi, Machiavelli and so many more. The church is beautiful! Plus after the visit you can stop in at the Leather School not far behind the church! Remarkable!

This tour operator is unreliable. Full payment was taken at the time of booking and the tour was confirmed. Tickets were to be sent two days before the tour - at which point they cancelled the tour, which left us unable to book through another tour operator and we missed the chance to visit Santa Croce. Very disappointing. Skip this tour operator unless you are prepared to be disappointed. Viator should drop them from their offerings.

Easy booking service. Great SC staff who were very helpful & welcoming. Great confirmation regarding tickets & entry details. The church is an exceptional place to visit. Do remember this is a place of worship & dress appropriately (there were a few on the day I visited - both male & female -who did not & literally paid the price).

they give bad instructions, not clear for someone just getting there as
there are 2 number 17 on
the piazza and nobody know anything about viator
viator, you should identify your staff with colors and big tags!!

Could not make it to Florence due to last minute weather that affected the cruise itinerary. Refund request was denied despite this. Buyer beware. Not a good company.

good morning, tickets are available on the VIATOR application where the booking took place. There is no meeting point (and this is indicated online) because the service involves an independent visit, not a guided tour. There is only one basilica in Piazza Santa Croce with only one ticket office, sorry you didn't see it.

The Basilica is well worth the visit but we didn’t need to pre purchase skip the line tickets. We were booked for 1300 but the line was short.
We had to call Viator twice sitting outside the Basilica because they didn’t actually send us our ticket via email as documented. The venue would not accept the Viator voucher as it clearly said “this is not your ticket”.
Finally, after having to send Viator an email so they could reply with our tickets attached we could go in.
This is the second issue I’ve had with the company, they previously cancelled some other tickets on me 24hrs prior saying I will be refunded, haven’t got my money back yet, I suspect it’s gone.

It was nice to have the tickets sent directly to me so that I may explore the basilica at my own pace without worrying about a meet up point. If you did not get the tickets emailed to you check the direct message sent to you through the app— that’s where I found mine! :)

Exactly as described. Got our tickets through the app, skipped the line, and went through the church on our own. We could have purchased the audio tour at the church but chose not to. Worth it for us to pay more to avoid the wait in the heat. Would recommend for those short on time or unable to tolerate the sun/heat for too long. If you don’t mind, you can skip this.

Sadly, I never received any tickets or communication from this operator. when I phoned the morning of the supposed booking I was told that they could not get a booking for me.
It would have helped to be informed beforehand and maybe given alternative timeslots??

The basilica is beautiful and worth the visit. The tour operator was appalling, we booked months in advance asked to change dates months earlier, no email response.
You can buy tickets at the basilica for half the price, this is not a busy attraction with no lines. I would not recommend buying tickets from this operator

A beautiful basilica full of wonderful features and religious artworks. A useful map was provided, and good information on all the displays allowed for an interesting visit. Particularly liked the The Last Supper in the Refectory, and the measures taken to keep it safe from potential floods, the works of Donatello and Giotto, and the fact that Galileo is buried there.
