Don’t bother, buy the Giotto

This is a scam. Originally booked the tour because the tour description clearly said climbing the Duomo & Bell Tower. The operator contacted me to change the dates as the Duomo was closed on the date. We agreed on Dec 30th 9.45am. When we showed we were given a Giotto pass(only bell tower climb included) and asked to stand in a rather long line line to visit the Duomo, no climb. We had to cancel another planned tour to accommodate as the family was very keen. To add insult to injury the bell tower access was at 6pm in the evening. You are better off buying the Giotto pass directly from the official site.

We would like to clarify two important points regarding your comments: 1. **The access time printed on the ticket is not mandatory.** As stated in our description and according to the monument’s regulations, the ticket allows **access at any time during the valid day**, subject to availability and crowd management by the site. The indicated time does not restrict entry exclusively to that hour. 2. **The Duomo is not included in the product booked.** Our tour description clearly specifies that the experience includes **Bell Tower (Giotto) access only**. Entry to or climb of the Duomo is **not part of this product**, and this is clearly outlined prior to purchase. For these reasons, the service provided was consistent with what was advertised and confirmed. While tickets may also be purchased directly from the official website, our service is intended for travelers who prefer **advance booking, assistance, and flexible access within the valid day**. We hardly found the tour guide. Than she just gave us printouts with tickets and said - go from the other side of the Cathedral. Than you queue on a long line which is all skip the line - there is no skip the line. Everyone is on than line. So spare your money and buy the regular 20eur tickets and not the twice more expensive ones. You have a choice of the Cathedral or the Bell tower. When you visit one tou have to queue again for the next one. We did just the tower.

The Cathedral Complex is managed by Opera del Duomo, and all visitors—regardless of ticket type—must go through the same security checks and lines. This is not a private skip-the-line tour, and it is clearly explained in the product description. The ticket you received is valid for 72 hours and includes access to multiple monuments, not just one. Guests may choose to visit them at their own pace and schedule. We regret if there was any misunderstanding about the product, but the service was delivered fully as advertised.

In all honesty, the experience wasn’t great and the audio guide wasn’t particularly useful or interesting. Sounded like an ai generated voice and we weren’t guided as where to start it in order for it to make sense with the ‘tour’. The tickets given to us also clearly state that they cost €20 each which feels like a bit of a slap in the face that they cost upwards of €70 for the two of us. All in all really poor experience that left us feeling deflated and taken advantage of.

Self guided is fine for the Duomo

We were cancelled on by the tour for "over-booking" the dome climb so we booked this self guided tour with bell tower climb. The audio guide was not relevant to climbing the bell tower nor the Duomo. The ticket stated that the package included "skip the line": tickets for the cathedral; however, the Duomo does not sell skip the line tickets and entry is free during certain times. We had to stand in a long line but it moved quickly.

Duomo climb was amazing, it didn't feel that bad climbing the 463 steps and to see the dome fresco close up was unreal, as well as the views at the summit.

This was a good tour if you’re looking for something very high level. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable however it felt very rushed. She didn’t leave room for questions until the end. We would definitely have liked a little more detail on this magnificent masterpiece of a cathedral. By no means am I saying don’t book this tour! It was good, but my husband and I are very much into the details of how the architecture was built which we didn’t quite get.

Scam. I was able to climb the bell tower with no issues. I was told to come the next day and my ticket will be valid for the cathedral and go to the duomo. That was not the case, I was able to see the cathedral but my ticket was not valid for the Duomo only because the tickets I was given were a duplicate and was scanned prior to my entrance by 13 minutes!

The directions gave a meeting point in front of a cafe (near the entrance to the bell tower). He had a small paper sign that could easily be missed with large walking crowds. Once I saw him, he said he tried calling my # but I'm foreign therefore wouldn't have been able to answer due to being on airplane mode. The paper ticket entry was a hassle to get my family in because it didn't seem like an authentic printed ticket. We were let in after some groveling. Other than that, the experience was really nice once up in the bell tower

Our guide in charge of the tickets was supposed to be at the meeting place at 1. He got there at 1:10, gave us tickets that were for 12:45, when i asked him about that he yelled at me that they are right and he left. We went to the line to get into the cathedral and the employee informed me the ticket he gave me was used and I have been scammed. I have used viator before and loved it but this was ridiculous.

Wir hatten Tickets mit Skip the Line gebucht. Leider war es nicht möglich mit den Tickets die Warteschlange zu überspringen und wir hätten eine Stunde warten müssen. Haben sie eigentlich nur gekauft damit wir schneller reinkommen, was hier nicht der Fall war. So waren diese Ticket umsonst!

Your booking was in Monday And in Monday all museums close accept Cathderal and the bell tower Plus it was holiday in Italy and alot of tourists Italain, american, European So they will not create for each client special entrance its only one entrance of skip for all the clients So it's not our fault its high season
