The operator change date 24 horas prior the date and I need to cancel. I wouldn’t be in Florence at the date they ask.

Will not recommend this tour

Incorrect description on how to find tour guide at the Duomo so took us very long before we finally located her. We were told she will be wearing white with a “my tour” logo on it and have some sort of green fabric with her. She had none of those. Found out that 2 others couples in our group also had the same issue. We purchased the English tour, her English was hard to understand and her facts were inaccurate and not succinct. She did not keep it interesting for everyone. And we had other issues during the tour which delayed the tour as well.

Crazy visit to the Duomo

Well this was a complete disappointment for our group. First could not find our guide. No flag no special sign of the company. Had to speak with the control center that patched me through to the guide to find our check in location. Glad it was only the three of us. Very hard to understand. It was for a tour of the complete duomo including baptistery. She excused herself at the end of the duomo and we never got to see the baptistery at all . We tried to enter and was told that our guide need to be with us to enter. I will be asking for a refund on this tour. Maybe with a better guide this would have been great.

No Show Tour Guide

Tour? What a joke. Booked this several months ago. Tour company didn’t show up and we never received a cancellation or change notification. Had to purchase individual tickets for each attraction, wait in long lines, change our afternoon plans, and now seek a refund. I’d rate this zero stars if that was an option. Also, two of my other bookings with Viator had issues on this trip too. Now I’ll be nervous for remaining tours.

Unorganized

The guide did not have a flag only information we received was that she was blonde and had a green lanyard. There were thousands of people there and the phone operator was extremely unhelpful. We walked past the guide several times before finding her just before the tour started. Other guides had flags or lollipop signs.

Each travel company has its own signs like flags or lollipops, it depends on their choices, and in this case we have chosen our guide to wear clothes with an exact color (green), so our customers can find the guide easily. Shame on Viator!

Worst experience ever. Viator tickets and directions said to meet our guide at 10:15. We were in the meeting place at 10:00. We called the tour guide to ask where the guide was and were told that the tour started at 9:45. Viator refuses to refund our money as the tour happened at 9:45 as the tour company scheduled. Viator’s fault completely but they refuse to honor the commitment.

This was a very good tour with a knowledgeable and friendly guide. Sometimes seemed repetitious but she knew what she was doing and we understood what we needed to about the Duomo complex by the end. We highly recommend this tour.

A bit hard to understand

The guide was friendly and well-meaning, and seemed knowledgeable, but we found her English a bit difficult understand. Usually we can pick up on speech patterns and pronunciations of guides who are not native-English speakers within a few minutes, but that never quite happened here. The guide took a high number of cell phone calls during the tour as well, which became annoying. Also, the ceiling of the Bapistery was covered for renovations, so there as not much to see there. And too, the last part of the tour, when in the museum, seemed unusually rushed.

Hot day in Rome

Our only issue with this guide is that, although she was charming and knowledgable, she was a bit soft spoken and spoke very quickly with a pronounced accent making it difficult to understand her message at times. Plus the tour was billed as skip the line, we had to wait in the hot sun (hot day in Rome) to get in to the Duomo that day. Otherwise a good experience and a very pleasant and informative guide.

Not worth it

We arrived early for our tour, looking for a green shirt and sign saying “my tour”. our tour guide was not labeled and did not carry a flag so it was difficult to find the short woman in the crowd. We stood for 40 minutes in the sun, despite having skip the line.. our guide talked rapidly with a heavy Italian accent, so we could hardly understand. I requested she slow down, but that didn’t happen.. we saw the beautiful church for 15 minutes. The others in our group departed at this point because they did not pay for the tour of the museum and baptistery. Archer guide took us at the museum and was knowledgeable and informative about the museum. she told us the baptistery was under construction, and that she would leave us now. later on, we went back to the baptistery, which was open and looked at it ourselves were disappointed not to have a tour and requested a refund, but was denied.. tickets for a tour of the baptistery should not be sold at this time since it is under construction.

A fair tour of the Duomo complex made good by the smaller group tour of the Duomo museum with the guide.

We booked this tour thinking we would be part of a small group but the group was large and we had to use headsets which would not have been our first choice. Our guide tries her best to manage the group and the crowds around the Duomo complex. She was amazing when we toured the Duomo museum as a break off later on. If we booked this again we would clarify the size of the group, try to time it for a less busy time and understand this is not quite a “skip the line” tour.

Interesting, informative tour

This interesting tour was taken on March 27, 2023. Our guide Valentina was excellent. She was more than happy to share her vast knowledge with our group. I would not mind to take another tour with Valentina because I consider her as one of the best guides. Thank you, Valentina. On the other hand, there was a big disappointment. The Baptistery is under reconstruction, so a visit inside the Baptistery should not even been offered. That is why I gave only 3 (three) stars. Otherwise it was very informative tour.

A wonderful way to experience the Duomo

This was such a wonderful experience. Our whole family was able to enjoy the tour. Our guide was patient and understanding of even the needs of our little travelers, who are six and four as well as our teens, ages 13 and 15. We are so happy we took this guided tour!

Emanuela, the tour guide, was very good. The reason I gave it 3 stars and would not recommend this tour is because it did NOT include a tour of the baptistery, which was the main reason we chose it. The baptistery is closed for restoration. Perhaps this tour should not be offered until it reopens

Buon tour e buona guida. Hanno rispettato il piccolo gruppo (eravamo in 5), ma non il “salta fila” (che in realtà non esiste, davanti a noi c’erano i prenotati, ovvero, chi senza guida, aveva prenotato il normale biglietto Brunelleschi PASS, molto conveniente). Fortunatamente al museo del duomo, che vale la pena assolutamente visitare, non c’era alcuna coda.
