Great experience. Easy use. Recommended to buy tickets for exhibits for ease and quickness. All the spaces were easy to get into especially when it’s really busy.
Response from Host, Apr 2026
Hi!
Really appreciate this - thank you.
That’s exactly the idea behind this experience: keep things simple and smooth, especially when Florence gets busy. Glad everything was easy to access and worked the way it should.
And yes… having everything ready in advance makes a big difference here.
Thanks again for the recommendation 🙏
Enjoy the rest of your trip!
John

Stunning, most beautiful way to see all of Florence! But before you do make sure you are ready to climb a lot of stairs. 463 to be exact!
Response from Host, Apr 2026
Dear Deanna,
Thank you for your feedback!
Stunning is the right word - and yes, those 463 steps are part of the adventure! Well worth it once you reach the top.
Hope to see you again in Florence.
Warm regards,
John

We were not able to use our voucher at the Dome, we had no way to print it out so the staff at the Dome refused us entry- so $160 wasted- never again
Response from Host, Mar 2026
Dear Valerie,
We’re very sorry to hear about your experience - we completely understand how frustrating this must have been.
All our tickets are provided in digital format and are valid directly from the phone, without the need to print. We also send detailed instructions in advance, along with contact details for assistance on the day.
We tried to be available during your scheduled time, including having a team member at the meeting point, but unfortunately we were not able to connect.
That said, we truly regret that you were not able to enjoy the experience, and we understand your disappointment.
If you’re open to it, please reach out to us directly - we’d be happy to review your case and see how we can assist further.
Warm regards,
John

Response from Host, Nov 2025
Thank you, Gary. Great to hear you enjoyed the full experience — the climb is intense but the view makes it worth it. Your guide will appreciate your words.

Brunelleschi's Dome and Cathedral Complex Reserved Ticket (3-Day Pass)
The electronic ticket scanning process was quick and easy, and the guides at each gate were friendly and helpful. We unfortunately missed our appointed time to climb the dome, but the staff kindly informed us that we could return and wait in line at any time to make the climb, which was a nice surprise. The 3-day pass is a simple, affordable, and flexible way to experience all the highlights of the Cathedral Complex at your own pace. It’s perfect for those who want to take their time exploring and revisiting the stunning sites of Florence. Highly recommend!
Response from Host, Nov 2025
Thank you, Patty. Great to hear the 3-day pass worked well for your visit and that you enjoyed exploring the complex at your own pace. Your feedback will be helpful for other visitors.

You are definitely on your own . There is no one to give you information if you need it. I had trouble with the tickets . It was a bit confusing
Response from Host, Nov 2025
Thank you for your feedback, Linda. Just a quick note — we’re always available in real time in the same conversation where we send the tickets, and guests can reach out at any moment for immediate help. We also provide all necessary instructions plus an audioguide app with insights for each site. Sometimes it just takes a quick message and we’re there right away.

Outstanding opportunity to see the inside of the cathedral.. the Michael Angelo cuppola...and all of Firenze from the top. Beautiful. The steps are not for the faint of heart, legs, or lungs. Im 68 yrs old..in great shape and did just fine. Several did not. The last 50 steps are straight up!! Is a MUST experience!
Response from Host, Nov 2025
Thank you, Dominic. Great to hear you enjoyed the full experience — that climb is definitely a challenge but the view makes it worth it. Appreciate your honest tips for other visitors.

Great tickets that get you into every site. The museum is huge so dedicate some time to it. Comfortable shoes are a must and it wouldn’t hurt to practice some cardio before doing the dome or the tower.
Response from Host, Nov 2025
Thank you, Daniel. Happy to hear the tickets worked well for your visit - and yes, the museum and the climb definitely deserve some preparation.

We climbed to the top of the Duomo and it was amazing! I surprised myself that I could actually do it… 493 steps!! Whoo hoo!
Response from Host, Oct 2025
Well done, Colleen! 💪
463 steps is no joke — but that view makes every one of them worth it. Great job and thanks for sharing your energy with us!

Beverley_G, Oct 2025
Lots of steeps put worth it for the view buying ticket in advance of long wait in quews not good if a hot day
Response from Host, Oct 2025
Thank you, Beverley!
Yes — those 463 steps can be a challenge, but the view is absolutely worth it. Buying in advance definitely helps avoid the long summer lines!

Ted_P, Oct 2025
Of course the Duomo was fantastic. But I have to commend John who worked with my wife and I. He was extremely responsive and helpful a number of times when I was having difficulty with the tickets. John is an asset to your company.
Response from Host, Oct 2025
Thank you, Ted — that really means a lot!
It was a pleasure helping you both, and I’m very glad everything worked out in the end. The Dome is always unforgettable, but kind words like yours make our day even more.

ANDREW_W, Sep 2025
You’re entirely on your own and there are many entrances and no one to tell you which is the right. All they can tell you is that the one you tried was wrong.
Marc_R, Sep 2025
Excellent experience
Not an easy walk up, the stairs are small in places and angled sometimes very weird for some people. HOWEVER, it is well worth it: There is a certain connection you develop with other climbers and the feeling is awesome when you reach the top. Many places to stop and rest along. I would definitely recommend doing it. The dome is covered i side by a beautiful and frightening painting which is worth seeing up close.
Geordie_C, Sep 2025
We never received our tickets. Eventually, we found someone who said they were with the company and finally sent us our tickets, but missed our time and we could never get into the Dome.
Response from Host, Sep 2025
Dear Geordie,
We’re sorry to read about your frustration, but we’d like to clarify how the process works for the benefit of future guests.
We always provide tickets the day before the activity, together with clear instructions. We also send a confirmation text message once tickets are delivered and a follow-up reminder 15 minutes before entry time (if no confirmation from your side), to make sure you don’t miss it and everything runs smoothly. Our team is also available by phone, WhatsApp, text message and email (we reply instantly) to assist with any issues.
In your case, the messages were not checked (your tickets were on your phone since the day before as planned). Our colleague was on site precisely because we had not received your confirmation — to make sure you had everything and could count on assistance if needed. Even if some guests arrive late, the Dome guards normally allow them to the next available time slot, and we are also ready to help.
The service works as described when instructions are followed, and we regret that this situation prevented you from enjoying the climb.
Best regards,
John — Walks in Town
K_P, Sep 2025
Ion or John emailed me my passes and instructions the evening before and everything worked great. The walk up the Duomo is worth it
Response from Host, Sep 2025
Thank you so much! ✨
We’re glad everything went smoothly with your tickets and instructions — and thrilled you enjoyed the unforgettable Dome climb!
John - Walks in town
Rochelle_C, Sep 2025
What a joke! The line to get into the Duomo was about 3 hours long to get into. The line didn’t move one foot for over half an hour. This site doesn’t have skip the line. So why buy the ticket through Viator? You pay more but since you have to wait in line anyway buy it direct cheaper. Live and learn. Probably won’t use Viator in the future. Very disappointed.
Response from Host, Sep 2025
Dear Rochelle,
We’re sorry to read your disappointment, but we’d like to clarify for you and for future guests.
Your ticket included a reserved Dome climb at a fixed time and access to the Cathedral/Crypt through the Santa Reparata crypt entrance. This entrance is clearly indicated in the instructions we send to every customer and allows you to bypass the long public Cathedral line you mentioned.
It seems you waited in the general free Cathedral line, which is not connected to your ticket and can indeed take hours. Guests who follow the provided instructions and use the crypt entrance at the suggested time enter quickly and without issue.
Please also note that we are always available by phone (the same number you receive your tickets and instructions from). If there’s ever any doubt, a quick call or message is all it takes — we’re here anytime to help make the process smooth.
The service purchased works exactly as described, and we regret that this misunderstanding prevented you from enjoying it.
Best regards,
John — Walks in Town
Emma_M, Sep 2025
Wow! Absolutely fantastic. A range of experiences all different. The Dome and view was amazing. Exactly like the pics. The view outweighed the steps. Amazing.
Response from Host, Sep 2025
Thank you, Emma! 🙏
We’re so glad you loved the Dome climb and those unforgettable views — truly worth every step!

Emily_W, Sep 2025
Be prepared for stairs of the lifetime. A lot of narrow stairs. Not set up for anybody that can be claustrophobic at all. Was very educational glad we did it. The View was amazing although rushed up top it was a very large group that had to get up there a smaller group would have been much better. Because the climb takes so long depending on where you are in that group will depend on how much time you have at the top.
Response from Host, Sep 2025
Thank you, Emily! 🙏
We’re so glad you enjoyed the climb and the breathtaking view — it’s definitely a workout of a lifetime!
Kind regards
John

Alessia_A, Aug 2025
This was, essentially, the same ticket you can purchase in advance on the Florence Duomo site to climb to the top of the dome. It was just sold a more than double the price. Next time I will buy my ticket direct from the actual website to save!
Response from Host, Aug 2025
Hi Alessia,
Thanks for your feedback. We understand your concern about price — and it’s true that official tickets can be cheaper when booked well in advance. However, last-minute availability is extremely limited, and many travelers are unable to find any tickets at all directly. That’s where our service comes in.
Our price reflects not just the ticket itself, but also the costs we cover to secure availability (often above face value), booking platform fees, taxes, 24/7 assistance, audioguide app and a flexible cancellation policy — something the official site does not offer, as their tickets are non-refundable.
We’re glad you got to experience the incredible Dome climb, and we hope the views helped balance things out. Wishing you all the best on your future travels!

Michelle_S, Aug 2025
We bought this because the regular ticket from the direct seller was sold out. I am glad we were able to climb the dome, though I do wish I didn't have to pay double or triple the price. Word to the wise... if you are going to Florence, plan out when all these tickets go on sale so that you can buy them at the normal price.
Make sure that you will absolutely be able to make it to your dome climb. We almost didn't because our train to Florence from our previous destination was cancelled and then our new train was delayed. Thankfully, we made it on time.
This is most definitely a climb!! I bought this ticket so that we could do both the dome climb and the bell tower climb. We were so sore and tired after the dome climb (maneuvering our heavy luggages around trains and stations that day probably didn't help either) that we never did the tower climb or several other things on this ticket. We probably could've just bought the dome climb and saved some money.
Response from Host, Aug 2025
Thank you, Michelle! We're really glad you made it in time and got to experience the Dome climb — especially after such a hectic travel day. Just to clarify for others: the Dome climb is only available as part of the full Duomo Complex ticket. There are no separate Dome-only tickets sold by the official site or anyone else. It’s all or nothing — and it’s definitely something! Thanks again for sharing your experience.

CAROLYN_C, Jul 2025
Be prepared! As soon as we entered the Duomo we were ushered immediately up the stairs to the dome. There was no warning or greeting. It was very hot. Take water with you. It's a long climb but well worth the trip. We had a Rick Steve's book with us so we knew what we were looking at. We did not have a personal guide.
Response from Host, Aug 2025
Thank you, Carolyn! That climb definitely starts off strong — no warm-up, just straight to the steps! We're glad you were prepared and made it to the top. The views truly make it worth it, especially with a good guidebook in hand. Great job powering through!
– The Walks in Town Team
Stephen_D, Jul 2025
If you’re claustrophobic or not reasonably fit I would not recommend this climb… it’s narrow and hot with limited ventilation at times. But if you are able to do the climb the views are rewarding
Response from Host, Aug 2025
Thank you, Stephen! You’re absolutely right — the climb can be intense, especially in the summer heat, but the reward at the top is unforgettable. We always recommend it for those up for the challenge — and prepared for tight spaces!
– The Walks in Town Team
Hilary_S, Jul 2025
The climb up the Dome was challenging but well worth the effort.
The Museum is incredible and really informative.
Great that, other than the booked time to climb the Dome, the tickets are valid for anytime so you don't have to cram it all into one day
Response from Host, Aug 2025
Thank you, Hilary! We're so glad you made the climb — it’s definitely a workout, but the view is worth every step! And yes, having extra time to explore the rest at your own pace really makes the experience even better. Thanks for sharing!

Diane_M, Jul 2025
This is a self guided tour. My daughter and I had to call Jon after I had a major freak out as I was anticipating meeting a guide. Jon was so kind and calmed me down by telling me where to go to get our tickets. These tickets were good for the sites connected to the dome and Duomo. We did make the climb to the top and the views of Florence were gorgeous. We also went to the museum, the crypt, and the bell tower. The fact that we had no guide made the day easier. We were able stop and get a cappuccino, eat, lunch, etc at our convenience.
Response from Host, Aug 2025
Thank you so much, Diane! We're really glad everything turned out well — and kudos to you for making the climb after all that stress! Sometimes a bit of flexibility and freedom is exactly what makes the day special. Jon will be so happy to hear your kind words — he’s always there to help.

Merisue_P, Jul 2025
Worth it just to skip the horribly long lines. Plus, once you are in, you can do everything but the dome climb at your own pace, which is nice.
Response from Host, Aug 2025
Thanks, Merisue! Skipping those lines really does make a difference — especially on busy days. Glad you enjoyed the freedom to explore everything at your own rhythm. Hope the Dome climb was the cherry on top!
– The Walks in Town Team
jeff_t, Jul 2025
long way up & down (60’s & fit) but amazing trip. well worth the exertion (and no need for gym that day!).
Response from Host, Aug 2025
Thanks Jeff! That climb definitely counts as your workout for the day — and what a reward at the top! We're so glad you enjoyed the journey. The Dome never disappoints 💪⛪️

Lauren_S, Jul 2025
Guided tours can become monotonous and long. We appreciated this one because it was a self guided, at your own pace tour. We could see the things we wanted to see and skip those that we did not….
Response from Host, Aug 2025
Hi Lauren,
Thanks for your lovely review! We're so glad you enjoyed the freedom of exploring at your own pace — that's exactly what we aim for with our self-guided experiences. Hope to have you back for more discoveries soon!
– The Walks in Town Team
Tamara_B, Jul 2025
There isn’t a guide for this experience — you simply receive your ticket the night before and line up during your assigned time window for the Duomo climb. We did encounter a technical issue with receiving our tickets, but the company was very diligent and ensured we had them by the morning. They went above and beyond to make sure we didn’t miss out on this incredible experience.
Response from Host, Aug 2025
Hi Tamara,
Thanks so much for your kind words! We're really glad you enjoyed the Dome climb — it's truly unforgettable. And while tech hiccups can happen, we’re always here to make sure everything goes smoothly in the end. Happy we could help you make it to the top!
– The Walks in Town Team
Isabell_T, Jul 2025
Getting into the Duomo efficiently despite the heat was great. The security line was quite confusing and long, no direction specifically. I had to contact the guide who was very helpful redirecting us.
Response from Host, Aug 2025
Hi Isabell,
Thanks for your review! We're really happy you had a smooth entry and that our guide was helpful. Just to note — all directions and ticket details are shared clearly in advance, but unfortunately the security lines are managed by the Dome staff and can occasionally overlap or get confusing. We’re always here to help if that happens, just like we did!
