    Great, but check the closing times.

    Do this in advance and once you’re there, check the closing times of the various sights. I was told to go to the baptistery first, then I went to the opera, thinking I’d save the duomo for last. Unfortunately, that made me too late to enter the duomo and I completely missed out. Thought it closed around 5:15 but it really closed around 3:15. Tried to get tickets a few days later, but all was sold out.
