This was an excellent way to skip the lines and learn a tremendous amount about the art in the Uffizi and Accademia. We would have preferred more history of the locations and the city and less about the inconography and religious paintings, and we were very disappointed not to be able to see the Tribuna Room and feel that the skip the line should apply to that as well. Our guide was caring and very kind.

The meeting place is confusing as not in the ticket office but outside and behind.
The person who received us was nice but did not have our tickets yet and we were on time and she gave preference to tourists who had tickets for later.
The audio guide depends on one’s personal phone and internet which fortunately I had as well as was carrying one pair of AirPods which I had to share with partner. The volume of recording was too slow and the descriptions were very general. We did not like this Viator tour at all.

There’s so many amazing places to visit when in Florence but I’m so glad we set aside some time to visit. Inside is gorgeous and filled with so many beautiful pieces. Each room brings more history and beauty than the room before. Highly recommend!

Easy. Uncomplicated. Get your ticket outside through Viator and they take you inside.
You need WiFi and phone for audio guide. I'm glad I took earphones with, otherwise you have to listen on your phone. Walk through palace at your own pace.

Basically, you are paying for someone to buy your ticket. If you arrive early, at 9 AM you can buy your own ticket and go inside without crowds and no need to pay the additional fee for having someone buying it for you. The girl was late, it was at 9:10 and she got there around 9:20 (I actually went inside to ask for information and saw her in line getting the tickets) once she gave us the tickets, she asked us to download an audio guide and took us inside to go upstairs. What she failed to tell us was that the first 12 minutes of the audio guide were for the downstairs area, so it took a while to figured that out, and once upstairs, you had to finish the tour to go back downstairs. Also, the audio guide was not in order with the tour, the order of the rooms inside were not aligned with the audio. Overall messy and unorganized. Buy your tickets directly with the venue and use their own audio guide.

The Palazzo Vecchio is quite amazing with a fascinating history as both a municipal structure and as a residence. Some of the rooms are stunning, with very intricate and detailed ceilings.

Easy entrance. A rainy Sunday so really no long line but Viator rep was there. These museums require you have data on your phones to download the audio guide. That’s the only downside but we navigates just fine without the guide. There was free WiFi inside.

We decided to go to the Palazzo Vecchio pretty last minute and since there weren't any tickets available on their website we went with this option. I was a little worried that it wouldn't work out since we bought the tickets are 10:45 for the noon session but someone from the tour company met us at 11:40 for the noon session with the tickets already purchased. The price was just a few dollars more than the regular price and worth the peace of mind! They were also quick to respond on WhatsApp when I wasn't sure about the process.

Destination location for the ticket collection and directions for entry were brilliant but the audio tour is one of the worst I’ve ever experienced. If this is as important to you as it was for us get your tickets through someone else.

the woman who met me was helpful, explained how to use the audio guide and made sure i got into the palace. What she apparently didn't know was that the main room was closed to tours. the audio started with the main room, which was not where i was located, and so the audio was useless to me. i wandered on my own, read the signs on my own and saw what i wanted to see. Because i used Viator before, i received a discount on the ticket which was appreciated and i basically saw what there was to see, but i obtained no information from the Audio. Perhaps the company should monitor what is happening inside the venues to ensure that the material they provide will work.

We sincerely regret that part of the Palace was temporarily closed on the day of your visit. Unfortunately, closures of specific halls or rooms are determined directly by the venue management and may happen without prior notice for maintenance, special events, or preservation reasons. This is outside the control of external operators such as ourselves.
The audio guide content is designed to cover the full standard itinerary, including the main hall. When a section is unexpectedly closed, some parts of the audio may not align with the accessible path. Nevertheless, access to the Palace and the rest of the rooms included in the ticket was provided as advertised.

This tour was cancelled about 3 hours before it started by email. No other communication. I only booked it the day before so Viator should have known about the public event. I’ve tried to get a refund using the link sent but that’s useless. I will never use this company again!

Get your own directions, the link with the instructions is incorrect and puts you 30 mins out of the way. Tour operator was ok with us going in later, This is self directed. Good place to check out.

If we’re informed of delays, we always wait beyond the scheduled time when possible. If you do this tour either use a personal guide. We chose the audio version which we found did not work well. The Viator advisor who met us to help get into the palace was great!

Once you book the tickets then you have to get them from the representative of Viator. I was very worried but as i was asking around i received a phone call from Laila the representative of Viator. I was so relieved to get the tickets from Laila and started the tour of the Palazzo Vecchio. Please dont worry and feel free ti book your tour as well. It would made your life easy. The tour was a complete miss. They did not have audio gears, they expected us to use our phones and we did not have battery, the audio had no coordination with what we were seeing. Not recommended at all…, you will waste money.

I’m sure this skip the line would be well worth it in some cases but in our case we could have easily gotten our own tickets for cheaper and there was not line when we went in the later afternoon. The audio guide was just a WR code that that sweet kids shared with us. He gave us instructions on how to get in with our tickets which were confusing. This fell short of expectations but you win some you lose some.

Seeing the rooms where the Priori met. Also the Cosimo and Lorenzo rooms. This was an entry without guide but still enjoyed a lot. Room with 500 really nice. Glad Florence allowed the production of The Medici to be filmed there.

We thought we were getting skip the line with access to the museums’ audio guide that we would need individual headphones to. We did get skip the line tickets and the tour operator gave excellent directions on where to find him (behind Neptune’s’ fountain). However, we were sent a link to a Rick Steves online anudio guide app and needed headphones to pair with our phones to get access. If you don’t have internet access or headphones for your phones, or not everyone has a phone, you are out of luck. We were out of luck so read signs while we walked through our tour. We should have braved the palazzo ticket line, got their audio guide and saved the extra fee we paid to the tour company. That being said, we did get in quickly.

This is not worth it. I'd request a refund if you've booked this. The line is not long at all, no need to "skip it," at least not these days in March and April. And we were charged 2x the ticket price. We could have bought the tickets ourselves for 60 euros, instead we were charged 150 euros for no service other than the tickets. The "guide" had clearly never been to the Palazzo before (he didn't know where the bathrooms were, for instance, or that backpacks were not allowed). And he left after we had the tickets and we never saw him again.
I'd like a refund.

We booked this tour for the evening of Dec 31 10:30pm in Florence, Italy and the tour never happened, we never received a cancellation and waited for 90 minutes at the stated meeting point outside Palazzo and kept asking representatives at the Palazzo museum when tour would begin. We were informed by several representatives that NO tours would be allowed inside Palazzo because it was New Year’s Eve. I don’t understand how Viator could sell tours knowing the museum would not be accessible. Because we had planned this tour on the final day of our visit to Florence, we had to leave on Jan 1 without touring the Palazzo. Had we received notice of your cancellation on Dec 31, we would have made alternative plans to visit the Palazzo museum. VERY disappointed.
