The tour guide was awful! I took this tour 10 years ago so I have some thing to compare it to. Her English was difficult to understand. She didn’t explain the history of Firenze on a walking tour. It was a standing tour talking about the Duomo. She didn’t talk about the statue of David that we saw and didn’t give us the history of the Ponte Vecchio bridge. We didn’t get our gelato as stated on our guide sheet and she dropped us off at a different point than our guide sheet said . This woman should not be a tour guide.

Before replying, we wanted to consult with the guide who accompanied you during the tour. She has provided us with some feedback regarding the attractions you mentioned were not covered.
Our guide may not have focused extensively on the Statue of David, but did she perhaps point out the comparison between Brunelleschi's and Giambologna's David statues and suggest viewing them diagonally to fully appreciate the details she was discussing? When you reached the Ponte Vecchio, among other historical information, didn't she tell you about the bridge's experiences during World War I and how it managed to escape destruction during the Second World War, unlike many other bridges in Florence? Did she mention the goldsmiths who replaced the butchers, making the Vasari Corridor visible?
If the information provided was not sufficient, which we find unlikely given the extensive effort we put into perfecting our tours, you could have directly asked her on the spot. This is one of the advantages of having a physical guide – the opportunity to ask questions.
We regret that you found our guide's English difficult to understand. However, please remember that our guide is authorized and certified by state authorities, has passed language certification exams, undergoes regular training updates, and, due to the nature of her work, practices English daily. In fact, this is the first time this guide has received such feedback; until now, no one has ever complained about her language skills.
We renew our regret for not meeting your expectations.

Unfortunately I couldn’t understand what she was saying. Her accent was so strong that I could have enjoyed on my own better. She told another 4 people who were from Brazil and she said she didn’t have enough ear pieces. Then she never gave out ear pieces. My wife knows Spanish and was able to communicate some with her. It was a total bust. This is our 6th-7th tour in Italy so we’re not inexperienced.

Did you try asking for the earpieces again? We are surprised by this information since our guides always strive to find the best solution for all tour participants. The tour guide was nice but we couldn’t understand her at all due to thick accent. In addition, we lost her 4 times in 2 hrs :(
She never looked for her group and keeps walking like she’s in her own world

I really enjoyed this tour but I’m giving it four stars because the itinerary for the tour has changed and the description hasn’t been updated. There were a few stops that are no longer included in the tour, including the stop for gelato. Once the tour guide announced the tour was ending, I asked about the stop for gelato and she told me that was removed from the tour.

A great way to explore Florence! Our guide Isabella was very knowledgeable on the history of Florence and the monuments along the walk. We’ll worth the taking the tour if you are short on time and/or understanding the layout of the old town.

We enjoyed the tour but didn't feel we learned enough and the IT didn't work very well. A more leisurely pace with more general information about Florence would certainly have made the tour better for us.

Even in drizzling rain in Venice, we had an outstanding walking tour. Claudio was excellent with great English and volume. Saw many behind the scenes places, plus highlights. Highly recommended.

Tour guide was super friendly. Very informative and thorough. Her English we very understandable. We saw amazing things in Florence but most importantly enjoyed walking through the lesser used side alleys that open up to more amazing monuments. Highly recommended if you have good shoes and 2.5 hours :P
Our tour ended on opposite direction of where it started. However it is so hard to get lost in the city center. Just use the Duomo Cathedral as a landmark and it is easy to navigate
We all got free Gelato at the end.

Wonderful 2 hr tour. We had a baby and toddler in two and they made sure we didn't need to stop throughout the tour. Very informative. A perfect overview of the city and our guide was very knowledagble. Highly reccomend.

Ci dispiace che il nostro tour non abbia trovato la tua soddisfazione: se in effetti la Tour Leader che ti ha accompagnato, ancorché bravissima e con un ottimo inglese, ha una conoscenza dell'italiano meno approfondita, dobbiamo comunque discordare sul resto della recensione. Il nostro Walking Tour, come si può evincere dalle numerose recensioni visibili sui principali portali di prenotazione di esperienze online, è assai apprezzato per tantissimi motivi: è quello che ha una durata ben maggiore rispetto a quelli degli altri competitor (ben 2 ore e 30 minuti contro 1 ora e mezzo), propone la lingua madre praticamente a tutti i partecipanti e offre contenuti audio e non video, come da te erroneamente citato, esclusivi e altamente professionali scritti da Storici dell'Arte e Guide Turistiche... il tutto al prezzo più basso sul mercato! Di questo purtroppo non c'è traccia nella tua recensione, anche se siamo sicuri che comunque avrai apprezzato tutti questi aspetti e imparato un sacco di cose sulla nostra bella città. Alla luce di quanto sopra, e anche considerando la passione che spero traspaia dall'impegno profuso dalla nostra TourLeader e dall'organizzazione di tutto il nostro Tour Operator, ti saremmo grati di rivedere la tua recensione e di riconsiderare il numero di stelle. Valeria, la guida, è stata molto brava a coinvolgere i partecipanti, rendendo ottima un'esperienza che, altrimenti, sarebbe stata un noioso girovagare con il freddo e la pioggia. E' stata capace, infatti, di far rivivere davanti ai nostri occhi i personaggi che hanno fatto la storia di Firenze, rendendola la città dell'arte per eccellenza che è oggi. Mai noiosa né scontata e senza guardare l'orologio, ha trasmesso la sua passione per l'arte e la storia di questa città, facendomi venire voglia di tornarci per scoprire di più.
La ciliegina sulla torta è stata la degustazione del gelato fiorentino. Mi è piaciuto molto il gusto al riso, che non avevo mai provato prima.
Consiglio assolutamente questo tour a piedi. Il mio suggerimento è di farlo all'arrivo a Firenze, sia per poter poi tornare per conto proprio nei luoghi visitati, sia per gli spunti che la guida dà su altri luoghi da visitare autonomamente. Alla fine della visita vi renderete conto che il tempo sarà volato e non sentirete nemmeno la stanchezza!
