Easy approachable museum with efficient skip the line

Very approachable museum. See the David and 3 other Michelangelo unfinished sculptures. Then you are able to go as fast or slow as you want - perfect for a tired kid to not get museumed out. 30 minutes is plenty in that case. This skip the line was well done. Pick up the ticket at their main office about 2 blocks away then they were very efficient getting us to the fastest time slot to get in even a bit earlier than our scheduled time.

Skipped the Very Long Line

The admission line was very long, and we were so glad we’d signed up for this experience, since we bypassed that line to scoot right in. The audio guide is extra, but our cost was only €6 or €7 apiece, and worth it.

Following directions to voucher stand that is inside. Meet the ticket guy at a door right outside of the entrance. Short wait to enter. Give yourself at least 20 minutes to make the stops before entering.

Please ensure you put the right date. Even if you call them 5 minute later they refuse to change and won’t refund any of the $ 300 + we spent. Also if you do fast track as we went anyway location of tiny shop with no street nb is almost impossible to find. TERRIBLE service but Gorgeous statue.

When we saw the line to enter, it definitely seemed worth it to buy the fast pass/skip the line option. You have to pick up the tickets in person before hand, but the location was nearby and easy to find. Shout out to Ahmed for his service!

This ticket allowed us to enter at our preferred time. It is worth purchasing during this time of year when tourism is high. Be aware of the meeting place to pick up your ticket. The location is on the voucher, not where Viator tells you.

Great to see Statue of David, but instructions for tickets were unclear

We felt it was very unclear how to obtain our tickets. The link in the app said it would provide us our voucher, but over and over again it rerouted us to our email booking confirmation with no voucher. It wasn’t until we spoke with someone at the Academia that they told us how to find someone from Italy pass tours. It was very busy and crowded and this was stressful. Once we connected with their agent, they did get us the tickets, but there should have been much more clear instructions in the app or email. We saw this happen to someone in front of us as well, and they had to get out of line when we were being taken inside for the same reason. Once that was resolved, the process was easier and we enjoyed the museum.

Finding our contact person to get our entry ticket was a mess, sign not clearly visible. We spent 20 minutes walking back and forth in front of the Academia looking for him amongst large crowds. Disappointed. However, once we entered the museum, we enjoyed ourselves.

We took a cab to arrive 15 minutes early. We found the meeting place but the tour guide never arrived or called us to tell us our tour had been canceled due to the possibility of flooding. The museum opened later in the day, but tickets were sold out. We never saw the statue of David.

It was a good experience. It was easy and just as decribed. We arrived and picked up our tickets from the company guide and then went to the line instructed to go. In a few minutes we went right in. Enjoyed the museum and of course the main star David!

Disappointed at Viator Accademia

My husband and I were confused and extremely annoyed. We could not find the place to validate our tickets. There were many lines and no one explained anything. We finally found another tourist who told us where to stand. A person from Viator showed up and put us on a line with a ticket. However he put us in the middle of a group who immediately yelled at us for cutting the line. We did finally get in and loved the museum. However for the price we paid I would never recommend Viator for the Accademia.

Good way to see the Statue of David

We opted to just get tickets and not do a tour. For us, I think that was a good idea. It's a small museum and easy enough to navigate without a guide. The main draw of course is the statue of David which did not require explanation. We had no problem finding the organizers. You just need to read the descriptions very closely. We were a bit early, so they went ahead and gave us an earlier time slot. No complaints!

I was told by a friend to prebook Academia or you could be waiting up to 2 hours to get in. Very easy process to book online and to meet with rep, get your voucher, proceed to another queue to enter and go through security. I opted for the do it yourself tour rather than guided as each painting or sculpture has it in English as well as Italian so could walk around at my leisure. Statue of David is amazing to see.

Meeting point was poorly explained. We had to hunt the place walking back and forth asking people to obtain information on how to find the meeting point. It is very easy to miss the tour if you are not savvy person. Tickets were just handled to us, without any instructions about the lines you should take to get in to the museum. Very disorganized staff handling everything.
