Awesome Experience with a Knowledgeable teacher & Patient Brilliant Artist! If I’d known it was going to be that much fun blowing glass with Britt I would have booked multiple days! Hubby is hard to impress & he thoroughly enjoyed the experience too!

Amazing experience!! Brit was kind, informative, and flexible. She worked with our skill level and with scheduling. She recognized the heat issue and contacted us to schedule a different time, which was awesome! When we were there, she was very engaged and helpful. We love our pieces!

Brit provides an introduction to glassblowing that is exceptional. She provides hands on teachings about technique and walks the participant through each step. Along with being extremely knowledgeable about glass blowing, she is patience. Overall, my mom and I throughly enjoyed making our glass pieces; it is one of the best travel experiences I’ve ever had. Our first experience at a glass blowing session on February 14th was at Deer Glass. Brit is skilled at making glass artwork and was very patient with my son. Brit was thorough in explaining the process of making art out of glass.
The only cons to include, we were not made aware there was additional work and final touches required from Brit and that meant picking up the pieces next day. Brit mentioned we have the option to pick up the 2 glass pieces next day between 12PM-4PM. We arrived at 1:30PM to find the shop was closed and Brit was out of town. We would have appreciated a call before we made the trek out to the shop. Since our departure back home is three days after our session, Brit offered to ship the pieces to my home at no cost. Two weeks have passed and we have yet to hear from Brit on when our pieces will be shipped to our home.
Additionally, the cost was $378 for 1.5 hours and overpriced for that short amount of time.
Based on the cons noted above, I would not recommend potential customers for a glass blowing experience at Deer Glass.

We had the most unforgettable experience trying out glassblowing at Glass Deer. The owner Brit is an amazing artist and even better teacher. She is knowledgeable, patient and allows us time to work on our pieces. We were only visiting Destin, but we'd return just to take another class from Brit.

Brittany is such a talented individual. Just visiting her studio was an amazing experience. Working with her in her hot shop was a great experience for me, my husband and our 11 year old twins. We all made our own piece to take home and we are all so proud of our pieces.
Couple notes, only buy tickets for those that want to participate and make a piece. We bought 4 tickets, if we were to do it again, I would not have purchased for my husband who is not super creative.
It was a rainy day when we were there (which was perfect) because it was fairly cool, but the hot shop is HOT. Close toes shoes if possible, hair back if your hair is long. Really unique experience that I would HIGHLY recommend!

This was an absolutely amazing experience! Britt was so knowledgeable and patient with us. We had zero glass blowing background and this was our first time near anything like this. We got a great introduction to the basics of glass blowing with an emphasis on safety, and left with a better understanding of a hobby I’ve always wanted to try.
Britt allowed us to “play” with a glob of hot glass before we actually attempted to make our take home piece, and I thought that was really nice of her. It helped us get used to the tools, the movements, and also helped take the nerves and anxiety away when starting on your take home piece.
When creating your take home piece, Britt is there to assist in any way and answer any questions you have. I truly felt like I created the majority of my glass piece, which was an awesome feeling. She steps in when needed but stands back when you have it.
Lastly, she has an amazing studio filled with her and her student’s work - which is wild. You are able to purchase select pieces she has on display as well!
All around, 10/10 experience and would highly recommend for anyone thinking about it!

Brit was our instructor. She was engaging and answered a myriad of questions from the basics to the coefficient of expansion. It was fascinating. We enjoyed the experience and being able to be the 'designer' of our piece. The next time we are in the area, we will do this again. Thanks to Brit for an unforgettable afternoon.
