We really enjoyed the tour. Szusan was very knowledgeable and gave us a lot of information on the historical significance of each place we went. The wine tasting was interesting and we enjoyed the lunch and shopping. The restaurant easily accommodated our vegetarian family member, which was appreciated. All in all, I’d definitely recommend this tour!

We had a wonderful time on the Szentendre and Visegrád Private
Danube Bend Tour with Wine Tasting.
The scenery along the Danube was beautiful, and both towns were charming and full of history.
The wine tasting was a lovely addition and very enjoyable. Everything was well organized, relaxed, and perfectly paced.
A special thank you to Nora, our guide - she was friendly, knowledgeable, and made the experience even better with her explanations and warm personality.
Highly recommended if you want a private, comfortable, and memorable day trip from Budapest.

It was nice to get to see the lovely town of Szentendre, the umbrella street was particularly lovely and learning the history of the castle. We learnt a lot on the drives around but sometimes it was a bit overwhelming and it needed a few more breaks to digest the information

Nice. More info about driver and vehicle ahead of trip would be good, be more like uber for security purposes. Tour guide was very knowledgeable.

Sophia was an excellent guide and easy to spend the day with. The castle was interesting with its museum and view and it was nice to see the countryside and villages outside of Budapest. We enjoyed the shops and atmosphere in Szentendre. Lunch and wine tasting was good, too.

The tour was enjoyable and our guide Martha was very knowledgeable about history and the region. However, our tour was on a Monday and many places we could have visited were closed and one site was closed due to a conference. The tour company should not offer this tour on Mondays.

What a wonderful trip. Our private tour guide Nora Mathe was awesome. She tailored the tour for our interest which made it very special. This was a wonderful way to see something outside of Budapest. Pickup was on time. It was very hot that day and the car was comfortably cool. Susan has a lot of guide experience and it shows, she is very good, very knowledgeable. All parts of the trip were enjoyable and ran very smoothly. Susan even took us to a sight in Budapest we wanted to see. Szentendre is really an adorable town, would be worth a return visit. All in all, highly recommended, thanks to all involved.

Our day out was a great way to learn more history on Budapest outer regions.
Seeing the bend in the renowned Danube river was good to see along with castles.

Nora is an excellent guide and driver with a very nice vehicle. It was great to get outside the city and see the countryside. The castle tour was excellent and Nora knows how to avoid the lines. We also had an excellent wine tasting and lunch in a small town. This tour was one of the best parts of our 2 week trip. She picked us up at our hotel and dropped us off there also. Nora is a local and seemed to know everyone

Nora the guide was excellent. She made the tour. Very knowledgeable and interesting. It was nice to go outside the city, the village we went to was beautiful, would have liked to have stayed longer to explore more.
Lunch was good, but wine tasting was disappointing, it was more wine pairing with each of the 3 courses, you didn't get much wine and we felt a little rushed. We were in and out within an hour.

An informative but long trip to and from both cities. Our tour driver was friendly and helpful but sometimes difficult to hear from the back seat of her personal vehicle. Lots to see of the medieval fortress at Visegrad, with sweeping views of the Danube. But be advised - a lot of steps up to the top!! Szentendre was a wonderful, picturesque city with lots of unique shops. All in all, a bit pricey.

We had a wonderful tour with Susan. Her knowledge of history was quite impressive and the way she told it made it interesting for all of us. She pointed out Roman ruins along the way and gave an excellent tour of Visegrad Castle. The views of the Danube bend from the top were quite beautiful. We then headed to Szentendre for the tasting and lunch. We tried a dry white, a dry red, a dessert wine, and a unique Hungarian liquor in a 200 year old wine cellar. We learned a bit about Hungary’s different wine regions as well. The restaurant was able to accommodate vegetarians and had delicious garlic soup! Susan gave us time to explore the old town after lunch and pointed out a few unique shops before letting us go off on our own. Highly recommend this tour if you want to see something outside of Budapest on your stay.

My friend and I really enjoyed this day out. While the wine tasting wasn’t as extensive as I expected and we spent more time at the castle, we received a great history lesson from our guide and the wines we did try at the National Wine Museum were delicious and came with interesting tales. I’d recommend this if you’re looking to get out of Budapest for the day and see/taste more of the surrounding area.

Our guide Sophie was incredibly friendly and very helpful. She made the tour interesting and fun. The reason for 3 and not five stars was the meal and wine tasting portion of the day, the part we felt was most important and the focus of the trip, was completely unsatisfactory. The food was old age home bland chicken with bland rice and potatoes. Not exactly the gourmet lunch advertised. Was this really a foodie tour? The meal was preselected for us. It would have been better if we could have selected from the menu. In addition, there were many better restaurants in the town from which to choose. The wine tasting was limited to one red, one white, and one aperitif. Not exactly a comparative tasting at all. Hungary has 22 different grapes. We tried only one. I would not recommend this tour unless the food and wine were significantly upgraded.

We had a wonderful tour with Mr. Steve, who guided us to a very interesting and magic visit into the history of Hungary at Visegrád castle and in the small city of Szentendre, both outside the big Budapest. Steve is a very experienced, communicative, friendly and patient guide, who we fully recommend. This tour offers you the possibility to deep dive into the castle and surroundings as well as have a traditional 3-course Hungarian lunch with a wine taste of a selection of Hungarian wines going through curious tales about the origin of the different wines. Then we had a short tour with Steve inside the wine cellar in the underground of the restaurant.
The tour ends in the small village in Szentendre where you can have a walk, buy different kinds of souvenir, and also taste local food, such as the traditional Hungarian Langos.
It was a very good experience and we were back to Budapest at around 16:00. I fully recommend if you want to go outside the ordinary tours inside the big Budapest and know more about the history of Hungary and the marvelous country side along Danube river.
