Our guide Edith was excellent! The tour allowed us to see many of the amazing attractions of this dynamic old city with its joyous cultures and terror of Nazi and Communists past We are having a terrific time. Beautiful Castles and churches and The Basilica is breath taking.

Enjoyable Experience with One Major Omission

Overall, this was a good and enjoyable tour with knowledgeable commentary and several memorable stops. However, I was disappointed that St. Stephen’s Basilica—listed on the itinerary with “admission included” and a 30-minute visit—was not part of the tour at all. This was one of the sites I had most looked forward to, and had I known it wouldn’t be included, I would have raised the issue during the tour. The guide was professional, and I appreciated the thoughtful presentation of the sites we did visit. My rating reflects the quality of the overall experience, but I do want to note for future travelers that the Basilica stop is not honored despite being advertised. I hope the tour operator updates the itinerary or clarifies this in the future to avoid confusion or disappointment.

Terrible don’t waste your money

The items it was listed on the excursion that we paid 480 bucks for was a rip off. We were supposed to go into the Buddha castle. We didn’t go. She said there was nothing to see in there. We were supposed to go to the Parliament. She said that you have to make reservation reservations in advance, and that was supposed to be part of it they were an hour late, picking us up from the hotel. I have a feeling they forgot about us, and there were a couple other items listed on the excursion that was not addressed or we got to do or see

I. Varga, our guide was very informative and even gave us great restaurant recommendations as we arrived few days prior for a cruise. In addition, due to a late ship schedule change, she was able to adjust our schedule few hours earlier and for a reasonable additional fee, had the driver take us to our ship which was at a different port an hour away Very complete tour of all the important sites with very informative commentary . Nice new Mercedes van w great driver and even provided commentary on the ride in the country to new ship location. Highly recommended.

Tom and Edith were fantastic! They were very informative and were very patient with our 7 year old running around being crazy! We didn't feel rushed at all and felt like we still saw so much in the time we did have. We highly recommend this tour for all the Budapest highlights in a shorter time frame.

Tom was such a great guide. He geared the tour to what we wanted to see and do. He took us by.a great marketplace and explained the traditional foods, liquors, etc. When we were finished he dropped us off at the baths and drove all our loot back to the river cruise ship and checked it in. Thanks Tom!!!!
