Itinerary
Your tour begins with a morning pick-up from your hotel at a time of your choosing. Traveling in the comfort of a luxury vehicle and accompanied by a private guide, set out to take in the highlights of Budapest.
Admire the views along the UNESCO-listed Danube riverfront; visit City Park to see the historic Széchenyi Bath, the largest thermal bath in Europe; and stop to take photos of landmarks such as the National Museum, the Parliament building, Western Railway Station, Vajdahunyad Castle, and Heroes Square.
Jump out to stroll down the elegant Andrassy Avenue, home to the lavish Hungarian State Opera House, then take a peek inside the opulent St. Stephen's Basilica. Continue across the Chain Bridge to Buda for a tour of the medieval castle and follow your guide around Trinity Square, Fisherman’s Bastion, and Matyas church. After snapping photos of the grand Buda Castle, which dates from the 13th century, head to Gellért Hill for an unbeatable panoramic view of the city and the Danube River.
For lunch, head to the grand Central Market Hall, where you’ll have time to enjoy lunch (own expense), browse the stalls, and shop for souvenirs. Spend the rest of the afternoon exploring the Jewish Quarter, home to Europe’s largest Synagogue, and some of the city’s most impressive architecture.
After a full day taking in the city’s highlights, your tour ends with drop-off at your hotel.

I am 82 and have had many guides in many places. My first was as a grandson w grandmother in Europe in 1955. My wife have had guides for almost 30 years all over. Our private tour in Budapest with a Viatour guide was by far the very best travel experience we have ever enjoyed. He confessed that he was a "history nut" and he proved it over 8 hours. Truly professional. No end of fascinating details about your long history...the tribes, the heroes, the villains, the architectural and art styles. No question unanswered. Oh, we had already had an a one and a half day tour through Abercrombie and Kent. Your guide was greatly superior in every way. It was truly a memorable experience. We vowed to return. We loved Budapest thanks to him.

The guide Steven was very informative and patient. He was friendly. Only thing we would have like to cover was the parliament building and the inside. But it was not part of the tour. Otherwise everything was great. I would suggest adding the parliament .

We show the Parliament from outside for the guests on every tour. The reason why the interior visit is not part of our tour is that only the experts of the building are allowed to give guided tours inside. The Parliament is the most popular site of the city and the tourists need to purchase tickets (sometimes for months) in advance.
In case someone informs us what sites they wish to see inside, we are happy to assist in purchasing tickets for them.

Zoltan was an incredible guide.....so much information, so many different places, delicious food/restaurant choices and he really made us fall in love with Budapest. His driver, Lazlo, was very professional and got us everywhere safely! We really went everywhere in Buda and Pest, very immersed. We loved it! I would definitely recommend Zoltan and this tour.

Would highly recommend this tour. Christina took our group of 10 all over Buda and Pest on this 8 hour day. We walked a good amount and were in and out of the comfortable van throughout the day. Each place we visited, Christina gave us a thorough explanation of it’s significance and the history behind it. She is a highly knowledgeable tour guide with a strong historical passion. We were picked up right on time and whisked away to Delphi. Our driver did a great job getting us there and orienting us before we went off on our own at the Delphi site and museum. Afterward we opted for the included lunch which was delicious in a restaurant with an incredible view. And then safely back to our hotel.

Took us all over the City. Bridges, palaces, many major sights. Budapest is a very beautiful city. We are elderly and it was a full day tour. We could hardly make it 6 hrs. and had to call it quits because of my husbands ability to handle the walking. Wish we would have done this when we were a little younger. We truly enjoyed the tour.

Gabrielle gave us a spectacular 6-hour tour of Budapest. We had a car and walking tour which I highly recommend for any future traveler because Budapest is really spread out and it is very difficult to get around to see all the major sites by walking. We also believe 6 hours was the right amount of time. But be careful because if you go in the busy season there is a could be a lot of traffic which could impact how much of the city you can see.

Our tour guide was Kristina, she was very knowledgeable and passionate about Budapest. We got to see many things on the tour, it is a little tiring, but if you are limited for time, the tour is excellent. Kristina was very engaging and kept us interested throughout the tour. If you have one day in the city and want to see as much as possible, this is a great way to go! Our guide, Ilona, was so knowledgable and so wonderful to get to know with her personal stories, and our driver was excellent as well. We bought Parliament tickets and arranged a stop there on our tour, after lunch. That worked very well. We learned lots of Budapest history in only one day!

Our guide, Dora Gabor was outstanding. He provided us with a very comprehensive and engaging tour of Budapest. We traveled very comfortably all around the city and were able to spend as much time as we liked in different areas and historical sites. Our guide Joseph was absolutely wonderful! He was on time meeting us at our hotel and started right off telling us about the history of Budapest. His knowledge was extensive and our day with him was full of interesting information at each stop. He gave us as much time as we wanted at each place and we never felt rushed. We stopped for lunch at a wonderful underground restaurant where we enjoyed a traditional Hungarian lunch. I highly recommend this full day tour for a view of the city in one day.

It was a cold and windy day, but our guide was very viligent in getting us out of the weather but not missing a thing. We even ate at a Hunerian all you can eat buffet, so we had every kind of local dishes there were. As it was our day was 8 1/2 hours of wonderful stops. It was well worth the cost!
