Victoria was a great tour guide, very knowledgable. The tour is well worth doing and her nugets of extra information was excellent. I would have spent the day with her getting to know Budapest as she was so good, excellent English.

The guide was knowledgeable and sympathetic - he was excellent. We learnt so much about the history of Budapest

Excellent. Well worth it.

Victoria_W, Mar 2026
Our guide Attila was fantastic. Extremely hard working, he went over time to show us everything. We learnt a lot about the very sad history of Hungary and saw a beautiful city. Much better than we expected. Don't ont forget to carry your id.

Well worth it!

Leeha_G, Mar 2026
Very educational and informative! Well worth it. Learned so many things about the city of Budapest as well as the history of Hungary! Our tour guide, Victoria, was amazing!

A great way to start our visit :-)

Peter_W, Mar 2026
Our guide, Atilla, was really friendly and had a good depth of knowledge about Budapest. The walking tour was interesting and provided several ideas of other things to do during our time there

Good talk but unsettling experience.

Martin_S, Mar 2026
The guide was very knowledgeable but the whole experience was uncomfortable. There was a photographer with the guide who appeared to spend the entire tour taking photographs and videos of the participants. My wife had to challenge him because it was making us feel so uncomfortable. We did not know at first but we became aware that he was a photographer engaged by the tour provider. There had, however, been no initial explanation or request for permission. This inappropriate behavior also unsettled other people on the tour too. It dampened the experience. A message to the tour provider - You did not seek our permission to take photographs of us. We do not consent to you using any of the hundreds of photographs and videos taken of us for marketing purposes.

Response from Host, Mar 2026

The guide already stated at the start of the tour that they are talking photos. Guest can have copies of the photos sent at the end. Usally gueest like to receive photos of the tour. If you didn't want your photo taken then when didn't you say something? Or why did you stand there in the photo? Usally if people dont want their photos taken they say so or move out of the way.

Amazing tour

Orla_K, Mar 2026

Sofia_B, Mar 2026
This was definitely a great experience for my group and I. Our tour guide was lovely and her knowledge on everything regarding Budapest and its history across the centuries was perfect for us as first time visitors. She informed us of many things that helped us shape the rest of our visit to the city. I would recommend this tour to anyone who wants to know more about the city and its iconic areas.

Great tour experience....

Great tour experience. The guide was absolutely great. He gave a lot of information as well as the restaurant recommendation and also the tour plan for the rest of stay in Budapest which was very helpful

Great Intro To The City

Andrewsneddon1979, Mar 2026
We really enjoyed the tour and the guide was really knowledgeable and personable. We booked the walking tour for our first day and it was a good way to get your bearings and see some of the key landmarks.

An ideal introduction to Budapest.

John_P, Mar 2026
We booked this tour for our first day in Budapest, and it was an excellent experience. Our guide Sabi was very informative, covering the important buildings and history of the city along with recommendations for eating, travel and places to visit, all very clearly and with a nice sense of humor. Sabi looked after the group (about 20 ppl) very well, with plenty of stops and chats, and it lasted approximately 2 1/2 hours. It was a great introduction to the city, and we would recommend it to anyone.

Budapest Historical Sightseeing

Christine_S, Mar 2026
Great walking tour! Our guide, George, did an excellent job bringing the city's history to life with fascinating stories and little details your wouldn't pick up on your own. The pace was perfect, and it really helped us understand the culture and background of the area. What made the tour especially helpful were all the practical tips along the way. We got great recommendations for local food and restaurants, plus advice on where to exchange money and other helpful spots around the city. Highly recommend this tour for anyone wanting to learn more about the city while also picking up great suggestions for the rest of your stay!

Book it

Caroline_R, Mar 2026
There was 18 in my group. George was a lovely knowledgeable likeable person. He walked slowly enough for everyone and gave insights into each destination we stopped or simply passed by. The hours passed very quickly. The fee was minimal €4 so tips are appreciated but not expected or demanded in any way. I would 100% recommend this tour and George! Yes you might walk past some sights but not know what they are! Also he gave recommendations on places to eat and national foods to try out. Myself and husband had a very enjoyable morning. Book it! Well worth it!

Brisk walk with commentary along the way

FRED_L, Mar 2026
Lots of walking and talking. We are older and got tired mid-tour. Pleasant walking downtown area. Bad weather would spoil the excursion. Started late and was a little disorganized.

Response from Host, Mar 2026

? The 10:30am left the meeting place at 10:40am. The ghides need time to do their introduction and check in It is a outdoor walking tour, so yes if your not used to our weather which varies from -25oc in winter to 43oc in summer then it will be a issue. Isnt a walking tour meant to involve lots of walking and talking?

Not to be missed

Alisa_A, Mar 2026
Excellent orientation and historical tour of Bucharest. Scheduling soon after arrival is ideal. Takes place on the Pest side of the river. Covers major landmarks and 1000 years of high level history with fascinating anecdotes. Atilla was engaging and very knowledgeable about the history of Hungary and beyond. Gorgeous city. Not to be missed. Plan to tip 5-10 Euro (or equivalent in local currency) pp.
