Wonderful day, bus ride was long however the guide was outstanding. Our driver got us everywhere we needed to go in the busy traffic. Guide knew his stuff and was able to give us back ground info that we didn’t know and get. Us into out of the way bathroom stops without line that didn’t charge you to use them.

Nick was an excellent guide. He was knowledgeable about the history of the Sachsenhauen. Visiting this place will not easily be forgotten. Berlin has alot of history to absorb and 1 day is not enough.

Very informative!

Sheila_L, Aug 2025
Very little (10 minutes) time at the Holocaust museum in Berlin. It was really a restroom stop. I would have appreciated a little less time at the Holocaust Monument and more time at the Museum.

Response from Host, Aug 2025

Dear Sheila, Thank you for taking the time to share your review. We’re delighted to hear you found the tour very informative. At the same time, we completely understand your disappointment with the limited time at the Holocaust Museum. Balancing the schedule on such a full-day tour can be challenging, but your suggestion about adjusting the time between the Holocaust Memorial and the Museum is very valuable and something we will carefully consider. We truly appreciate your feedback and hope we’ll have the chance to welcome you again in the future for an even more rewarding experience. Warm regards, Natalia Vexperio

Excellent tour with our guide Nick!

Lisa_W, Jul 2025
Our tour of Sachsenhausen and Berlin was fabulous. Our guide Nick was so knowledgeable about the Nazi regime and all of the atrocities that occurred. He used his tablet to show the way the places looked back then so it was easier for us to imagine what occurred.

The best tour guide

Tana_A, Jul 2025

Nick is awesome

HEIDI_M, Jul 2025
Nick was the best tour guide we ever had. He was incredibly knowledgeable and was able to answer any question asked of him. He knew things about the area that were interesting and not in any normal literature. He had a tablet and showed us pictures before and after WW2 and then took us to those places now. His expertise is unmatched.

Excellent excursion

Bonnie_E, Jul 2025
The bus was at the port and well identified. The bus was very comfortable and spacious. The tour guide met us in Berlin. He was patient and very knowledgeable.

Well worth the money.

Scott_T, Jun 2025
Well worth the money. One of the only options to see the camp and Berlin in one trip from the cruise portal. Guides are knowledgeable and bus was not overcrowded unlike the cruise ships like tour options which we greatly appreciated for the amount of time it takes to get to and from Berlin.

Our tour guide Walid was very informative and knowledgeable. We saw a lot of Berlin and learned of the history. We also got to learn a bit about Sachsenhausen and see some of the concentration camp.

Our tour guide, Campbell, was funny & informative. He was great at his job, telling us all about Sachsenhausen in so little time & all about German history. One of the best tour guides. Our driver, Ule, was also amazing. I liked that he was careful of all the motorists & bicyclists on the street. A very funny person as well! Overall, the tour was fun. I wish that we had more time to explore Berlin however. They only gave us one hour to eat & shop for souvenirs. The bus was clean & had good legroom. Seats were kind of stiff. They had an espresso machine on board, but I do not know if it worked. No one used it. There were also curtains, but in certain seats you cannot reach them. Would recommend this tour if you love history & can handle sitting for long periods!

Campbell was our tour guide. He did an awesome job. Highly recommend. He was fun and full of energy.

Excellent! Not to be missed!

Martha_M, Jun 2025
This was an excellent, professional tour from start to finish. We were met by Vexperio staff immediately upon exiting the cruise terminal and were directed to our bus which was clean and spacious. The trip to Berlin took about three hours included a rest stop along the way. Our guide, Walid, joined us at Sachsenhausen and provided an excellent tour of the history and workings of the camp. From there, we drove to Berlin and proceeded to see many significant sights both on foot and by bus. A short break was provided for lunch as well. Overall, an outstanding tour. We arrived back at the cruise terminal at the designated time.

Waleed was an amazing guide. Very knowledgeable and provided lots of information and stories, very personable. Only drawback was not enough time at the concentration camp (not his fault) Berlin was a beautiful city. If I get the opportunity to return I would hire Waleed for a personal tour .

Great tour!

Melanie_K, Jun 2025
Walid was a great tour guide and provided a lot of knowledge and the flow of the tour was great! There was plenty of time to grab a bite to eat, look around, and take photos during the tour. The drive is obviously long, so be prepared for that part with snacks and drinks if you choose for the ride there and back.

Worth Every Penny

Christine_O, May 2025
This tour was Amazing!!! Our guide was knowledgeable and friendly. We saw everything and didn’t feel rushed.

Outstanding Sachsenhausen and Berlin Tour

Paul_R, May 2025
Our guide , Nick, joined us at Sachsenhausen Concentration Camp and stayed with us to Berlin. His commentary at Sachsenhausen was detailed and informative and delivered with great sensitivity. His tour of Berlin was given through his lived experience of change and drew upon his vast historical knowledge. His tour was efficient and well timed and allowed for a great experience and photographs. 15/10

Perfect Tour! Amazing Guide!

This was an experience of a life time. Our family with teenagers found the concentration camp and whole tour extremely facinating. Nick Jackson was an awesome.

Too much to try and see in one day

Tina_H, Oct 2024
Too much time driving from site to site. We had to skip our last couple of stops and just do a drive by in order to get to the boat on time. It would have been better just to stop in one stop and walk to a few Berlin sites than to try and see them all. Not worth the time. I would rather do a tour with just Berlin or just sachsenhousen than to try to do both in one day.

Response from Host, Oct 2024

Dear Tina, Thank you for your feedback. We’re sorry to hear that the tour didn’t fully meet your expectations, and we appreciate you sharing your thoughts on the schedule. As this is a highlights tour, our goal is to provide an overview of both Berlin and Sachsenhausen, covering as many essential stops as possible in the limited time we have. We understand that this can make the pace feel rushed, especially with the time spent traveling between sites. For guests seeking a more in-depth experience or a relaxed pace, we also offer private tours that can be customized to focus solely on Berlin or Sachsenhausen. These options allow for more time at each location and can be tailored to suit individual interests. We hope that despite the time constraints, you were still able to enjoy some of the incredible history and landmarks during the tour. Should you return in the future, we’d be delighted to help arrange a more personalized tour that better fits your preferences and schedule. Thank you again for your review, and we wish you safe and pleasant travels ahead! Warm regards, Magda Vexperio

Our guide, Walid, was very knowledgeable and kept things moving. Could have used more time to eat and purchase souvenirs.

Nick was a fantastic guide, very knowledgeable. Did not disappoint, highly recommended this tour. Not only did we visit the camp but had a tour of the key points in Berlin. Really brought it all together.

Most informative and enjoyable excursion ever!

Susan_B, Sep 2024
Nick was the best tour guide! The attractions were key to understanding the culture and history. Nick was knowledgeable and entertaining and friendly and patient. Excellent!!

Excellent guide!

Carie_A, Aug 2024
The 3 hour bus ride each way was worth it, and was divided in half by a short pit stop. Our guide, Nick, was phenomenal! So much information we don’t think we would have learned elsewhere. Seeing both of these historic sights was somber, but important

Response from Host, Aug 2024

Dear Carie, Thank you for your wonderful feedback! We’re thrilled to hear that the journey and the pit stop made the long bus ride comfortable. Nick is indeed a fantastic guide, and we're glad his insights added so much value to your experience. We’re pleased you found the visits to Berlin and Sachsen both impactful and significant. Your appreciation means a lot to us. Thanks again for sharing your experience! Natalia Vexperio

Loved this tour!

Lucretia_D, Aug 2024
Walid, the tour guide, was amazing! He was so knowledgeable I felt like I got a crash course in German history. I loved that we stopped at the camp first and he was able to tie everything in with the last stop. Well worth the cost and we got back to the ship with plenty of time to spare.

Response from Host, Aug 2024

Outstanding tour and exceptional guide

Philip_S, Aug 2024
Nick was an outstanding guide, providing great insight into the history of sites and flavor of Berlin. Concentration camp visit was moving. He kept our group of 26 going at a comfortable pace, packing an amazing number of stops into the day. His sausage and beer suggestion for lunch near checkpoint Charlie was delicious. While 3 hour ride from the cruise port was long, it was as expected and bus was comfortable. Highly recommended.
