Overview

Hike to see the sunset over Asheville without the risk of getting lost in the dark on the way down the trail. Choose between an easy-to-moderate 3-mile (4.8 km) hike or a moderate-to-difficult 2-mile (3.2 km) hike, to suit your needs. Both routes are timed to reach a lookout point before sunset.

Dress for the conditions as the hike will take place in most weather
Headlamps will be provided so you don’t stumble in the dark
Snacks will be provided to keep you energized
Transfers aren’t included but can be arranged for an extra fee

What's Included

Snacks

Snacks are provided. Please notify us in advance of any dietary restrictions.
Headlamps are provided for all participants to use during the second half of the hike
Trekking poles can be provided upon request at no additional charge.

Private transportation

Transportation is not included. Hikers are expected to follow their guide to the trailhead in a separate vehicle. Transportation can be added for an additional fee; contact us for availability.
Gratuities

Gratuity for our team of well-trained professional guides is not included in the trip price. Industry standard gratuity for a guided hike is 15-25%.

My guide Anna tailored the hike to my preferences and capabilities. In addition to showing me a few very scenic views before the actual hike, she shared relevant history and made it more interesting. The views were fantastic! She provided a wonderful picnic at our destination, was friendly and made sure I enjoyed the experience. I highly recommend this experience.
