Overview
One of the country’s favorite rafting rivers, experiencing Asheville’s French Broad River is a paddler’s rite of passage. On this guided tour, you’ll raft through four miles of Class II and III rapids, stopping for river dips, taking in the views of the surrounding Pisgah National Forest.

Great experience all around! We had an amazing time with Laney as our guide, and the river itself was a good compromise for those that had some rafting experience and a few that had none. I would recommend this tour to pretty much anyone!

We went with Helga , Julia and Lanie. We loved them all. I fell out and Julia promptly pulled me right back in. She was fantastic !! We loved the whole experience.

My two siblings and I had a great time! First white water rafting experience for all of us. Definitely approachable for novices / first timers including appropriate aged children. A fun few hours on the river with our awesome guide Brent. Even the “school” bus ride to and from launch and return areas was both entertaining and scenic

The guides were so nice and made everyone feel safe while also having fun. A great trip for beginners! The bus ride from Asheville is about 40 minutes each way and the rafting was about 1.5 hrs.

So much fun and beautiful scenery! I have to admit I was a little bit nervous going into our trip. On the bus ride there you are given lots of information on how to handle the unlikely event of emergency. However, as soon as our raft guide, Alyssa, started talking, I felt at ease. She guided us down the river with so much expertise and confidence, we had an absolute blast. She took the time to educate us on things about the river and point out beautiful wildlife. Myself husband and kids all had an amazing time.

We loved our whitewater rafting tour. Asheville Adventure Company was very organized and friendly. Kaetlyn was a super raft guide. It was super fun while feeling safe the whole time.

Ask for Brent - he was a great guide, very knowledgeable and we had a wonderful time! He gave us a history lesson while recommending a wonderful lunch spot at Taco Billy's afterwards. You know this good when the guide shows up while you're eating. David the bus driver was the GOAT of all drivers and needs his own tip Venmo.

Vendor notified us that our trip was being cancelled for a group of 11 folks only 3 days prior to our scheduled reservation with no explanation.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We understand how frustrating it is to have a trip canceled on short notice, especially for a group of 11.
We do want to clarify that an explanation was provided at the time of cancellation. Due to low water levels, the river conditions had changed to the point that the trip would have taken significantly longer than normal. This would have resulted in the group returning after dark, creating safety concerns for both our guests and guides. For that reason, we made the difficult decision to cancel the trip rather than compromise safety.
We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience this caused. Safety is always our top priority, and while we understand the disappointment, we believe it was the responsible decision given the conditions.

Very mild rapids. Little challenge. The level 3 rapids are really 2. The 2 are really 1. The trip is very suitable for children and elderly.

Thank you for your feedback. We're sorry to hear you were disappointed, as we know how exciting a whitewater rafting trip can be.
We would like to clarify that the cancellation was made due to low water levels caused by the drought. These conditions would have significantly extended the duration of the trip, resulting in a much later return than normal and creating safety concerns for both our guests and guides. Because safety is our highest priority, we made the difficult decision not to operate the trip under those conditions.
We also want to clarify that we made every effort to notify you in advance. We attempted to contact you multiple times more than 24 hours before your scheduled trip and left voicemail messages regarding the cancellation.
We understand how frustrating this was and sincerely apologize for the inconvenience. While changing river conditions can sometimes require difficult decisions on short notice, we appreciate your understanding and hope we'll have the opportunity to welcome you back under better river conditions.

We had to exit the raft at one point...water was too low. We had to climb over some rather large rocks to get to the other side while Hannah navigated the raft thru the low spot. It would have been very easy for me to slip on the rocks. Fellow rafters helped me up and down the rocks. It was just a little too dangerous for me. Hannah was a wonderful guide! Very friendly, lively, and really knows the river.

perfect experience! we were beginners (and not particularly athletic) but felt totally confident in our guide Julia and everything went great. it was so fun! the swim in the middle was so refreshing (and the water was much warmer than I expected!). all the staff were kind and knowledgeable, definitely recommend.

Everyone who worked there was really nice. Also met some cool people who we rafted with. Be sure to bring water shoes and a towel for after. Being another pair of clothes if you can

The Adventure raft tour was incredible. It was adventurous and an exciting experience. However you definitely need to be in fairly good athletic shape to participate. There was a lot of rigorous paddling through the Rapids as well as sitting on the edge of a raft holding yourself in with one foot for a couple of hours doing the ride. We absolutely loved it and my son is 12 but in great athletic shape. I don't suggest this trip if you have smaller children that are not strong or if you don't feel adventurous. The staff was so friendly and amazing, when we did get stuck in a situation that required lots of Hands-On deck they all participated and everyone made it safe and fun. Starting with Anna on the bus playing upbeat music while we rode to the rafting site and then all of the tour guides were bubbly and engaging. E will definitely be back to do this again!

Really fun day! Anna made the 35 minute bus ride fun with her playlist. Greta was a great and knowledgeable leader. Serious enough to make us feel safe and fun enough to make it an exciting time on the river. There was a stuck raft in our tour but the guides used their expertise to get us going again. Would definitely recommend this trip.
