Lovely walking tour through Annapolis with Michael. We stopped by the gate to the Naval Academy, the Maryland State House, and St John’s College, to name a few places, and admired Georgian and Federalist architecture in the city. Discovered Old Fox Books with a wonderful coffee shop along the way. Everyone in our group said they would take the same tour again.

Michael, our tour guide, was such a joy! He led us on a fascinating adventure through Annapolis’s deep historical story. As we strolled through the Naval Academy campus, Maryland State House, St. John’s College, and Main Street, Michael shared fascinating stories about Annapolis’s interesting history, its brilliant founders, and the Navy’s amazing past. His tour was a fantastic way to get to know this amazing town.

The tour is flexible, a decent amount of walking, and is inside and outside. Michael was very well versed and willing to spend more or less time at different locations.

Unfortunately we did not bring Real IDs or our passports even though it was clearly communicated that we should have, just wanted to put that here to let others know.
However, even though we couldn't tour the Navel Academy, Michael still gave us a great overview from a distance. Since my wife and I are history buffs in general, Michael pivoted his tour to focus more on the overall history of Annapolis and other areas of interest. As we were talking he took note of the fact that we admire Washington and took us to the location where the Treaty of Paris was signed and also the written speech Washington gave when he resigned as General. Overall it was a really interesting tour and Michael did an amazing job.

Michael was very knowledgeable and even tracked down a couple of requests we had.
He was one of the best guides we have ever encountered!

Annapolis is a beautiful, quaint city with a rich history. Our guide, Michael, was so gracious and knowledgeable. We learned about the history of so many wonderful landmarks in Annapolis and had an impressive view of the Naval Academy on Homecoming game day. Highly recommend!!

Circumstances beyond our control prevented us from touring the Naval Academy but Michael shifted easily to a wonderful tour of the charming city, covering history, architecture, culture, famous homes and people. Great pace, great information!

Michael was a great tour guide. Very knowledgeable, and adjusted the tour to events ( midshipmen Parade, etc) and to our specific requests

Michael, a native of Annapolis, was a fabulous guide. I had been to Annapolis several times before, but decided to do the historic walking tour with our kids. I learned so much!! I would recommend this tour to anyone. I loved Michael’s perspective as a true native.

Wonderful tour, our older family members really loved it. The walk itself is easy. We had one young kid in tow and there was plenty of interesting things to see that captured his attention. Michael was a great guide.

Michael provided us with a personal and detailed look at Annapolis and the Naval Academy. He gave us a behind the scene look at the crypt of John Paul Jones and beautiful descriptions of the stained glass windows in the chapel.

This a relatively easy walking tour ( no hills) that is steeped in history and beauty. We feel much more informed about the city and the importance to our history as a country. Excellent tour guide

This was a great way for us to start our visit to Annapolis. Michael did an excellent job of taking us around the harbor area and through the Naval Academy explaining the background and history of all the major sites. I would highly recommend this tour for first time visitors to Annapolis.

Very knowledgeable guide with interesting facts. Have been to Annapolis many times and even I learned something new. 😃 was great for us to get to see Naval Academy. Guide was flexible and took into account our preferences and gave some excellent recommendations for other things to do/ places to eat.

Michael was an excellent guide! It was cold and rainy and he was very accommodating to our postponing the walk until a later time. Highly recommend him!

Michael is a well educated, knowledgeable, and charming student of the history of Annapolis, the Naval Academy and early American history. He communicates clearly and adjusts his remarks based on the interests of the group. Absolutely a top notch experience. Oh and thanks for the restaurant recs.

This review is late, but had to share our thoughts. It was excellent!! Michael’s knowledge was amazing. We felt the true spirit and importance of this great institution. It was a highlight of our four month journey. We were there in mid-September and the campus was beautiful. We enjoyed the town as well and had great dining suggestions from Michael. Do not miss this tour.

Once again Viator shined. Our tour guide Michael was extremely informative about the history of Annapolis, State Capital and the Naval Academy. Tour could not have been any better. Encourage anyone going to Annapolis to tour to seek out Michael. Wonderful experience for the four of us

Fantastic tour by a local who knows and loves his hometown. Make sure to ask his recommendation for the best ice cream in town town.

Michael Bors was spectacular! This was the best tour that I have ever experienced and everyone in my family was in agreement. He is an excellent teacher/historian, very personable, articulate, very kind and generous with his time. We had a couple of late people to the party and he was so nice about waiting for them. We also had torrential rain and we all soldiered thru it without hesitation making it to all our stops without missing a beat. I don’t believe any other guide would have done that. I will definitely recommend Michael, as well as Viator for future events. The day could not have been better! Good catch on Viator’s part in gaining Michael Bors!!!
