- The ferry ride from Pier 33 to Alcatraz Island takes approximately 12–15 minutes.
- Alcatraz Island tours are very popular and frequently sell out, so guests are encouraged to reserve tickets in advance.
- Alcatraz Landing includes the Ticketbooth and waiting and boarding areas, all of which are accessible. Accessible bathrooms are found at Pier 33 Alcatraz Landing and on all Alcatraz City Cruises vessels.
- Please note: there are no wheelchairs available for loan either at Pier 33 Alcatraz Landing or on Alcatraz Island.
- This tour/activity will have a maximum of 15 travelers

I had a great time learning about Alcatraz and its history. I hope more people go and take the time to visit the Native American exhibit to learn more about the peaceful protest. It was a lot of walking and it felt cold on the island so I recommend wearing comfortable shoes and warm clothes.

Visited Alcatraz Island today by ferry and it was such an interesting experience. The audio headset tour around the prison cells was excellent — hearing the stories and accounts of what life was like for prisoners really brought the island’s history to life. A fascinating and very well organised tour with amazing views of San Francisco too!

If you’re born in the 90’s or before and a fan of COD! This place is so nostalgic!! And some crazy history on it! Totally worth it!
