Great tour with Pamela
A good deal of walking involved but not too bad as most paths were shaded and mostly flat. Our guide Pamela was very informative and was great at keeping all of us together. Stops in the shade along the way to discuss the current and next stop was very good. Water at the Pantheon was the best and coldest.

Great tour but please update the listing photos!
I had a great time, Julia was lovely and made a great guide. She knows a lot about the history of the area and was able to answer all of our questions. I loved the catacombs, walking (a small part of!) the Appian Way, and the aqueducts. We were able to avoid a lot of the Roman heat and still have a wonderful time. However, I will agree with another reviewer that this listing needs to be updated as the photos are not accurate. We weren't allowed to take photos in the catacombs and some of the photos on this listing were definitely not of places on the tour. It's still a really nice way to go off the beaten path a little bit and the air-conditioned van was a plus.

Great!
Skipping the line to get in was great. It takes a max of 10 minutes to get in through the tour guide entrance. Amber was our tour guide and she was great! Easy to understand and great knowledge about what we were seeing. Only negative was trying to find the tour company meeting point. A gps coordinate would have been better. Instead you are provided with rough instructions on how to find the crown tour office. Make sure to arrive early as they state in the instructions. Better to arrive extra early and grab a pastry and coffee nearby :)

Linnea was a fabulous...
Linnea was a fabulous guide. We learned lots about the construction of the amphitheater and the different shows performed each year. On a very hot day, she made sure to find as many shady spots for us to hear about the details and hear some funny jokes. We enjoyed following the lemon!

Sure, it’s filled with honking cars, dilapidated trams, and chaotic traffic circles. But Rome is also a pedestrian’s dream. With its cobblestoned alleys and bustling piazzas, the Eternal City has endless wonders to discover on foot, from ancient palaces, temples, and theaters dating back to the days when Rome was capital of a vast empire to baroque-era fountains and piazzas. Check out the highlights on a Rome walking tour. With so much to see, you won't even realize just how much pavement you've pounded.
