What a wonderful evening! Walter was our guide for the evening and even though he was Australian ;) he had a lot of interesting information around each stop and the food we were eating. There were a couple of people with allergies/food restrictions and they did their best to accommodate. Everyone seemed very pleased with the experience.

I was really impressed that our guide, Fabio, teaches history and is well versed in the history of Rome and specifically Trastevre. One restaurant was especially rich in history, and focused on slow food with locally sourced ingredients. All of the meals on the tour were top notch, and we ended with gelato with such an interesting variety, and also with clean ingredients, there would be no way to get these flavor combinations at home. Incredible tour and well worth a splurge!

Not really the food I was hoping for.... I had much better quality food for 74 euros in a restaurant. I would pay a guide but main point was food and I was disappointed especially for this price. Food tour supposed to be the best food in this me, turned out to be the worst I had in those 3 days... Really surprised at 4.9 rating, it was so misleading

John was amazing! He signed to my girlfriend, who is deaf and made a connection with her. He connected with each person in the group. He gave informational history of Rome from “slow award” to gelato.

Disaster in Rome! Avoid Viator! I traveled to Rome with a friend and book a food tour I had taken before. As we met our guide we were each asked if we have a food allergy (never asked before on their tours or when booking). I told them of my allergy which gave me hives 40 years ago. The guide and manager she called refused to allow me on the tour. Finally they agreed but only if I purchased my own food separately. I agreed. At the first stop I went into the cafe to purchase my own food. The guide told the waiter I have a food allergy and he not only refused to sell me the food but refused to give all other tour participants their food! I was so upset that the other guests were also being treated so poorly that my friend and Ieft the tour completely. I was only given a partial refund. I will use Get Your Guide or another company in the future.

This food tour was awesome!! Arthur was full of history and he knew everything but more impressive- everyone knew him!! I have done food tours before and left still feeling hungry- not on this tour! Plenty of food AND (almost more importantly) wine to go around. High recommended as a great way to eat the local food and avoid the overpriced tourist trap restaurants.

Toni was an amazing tour guide — friendly, welcoming, and full of great local recommendations. One of the highlights of the tour was her restaurant suggestion, which turned out to be absolutely fantastic. The drinks and wine were exceptional, and the food was unforgettable. Enzo’s, the Cacio e Pepe, and the gelato were definite standouts of the trip. Toni made the experience feel personal and authentic, and we left with great memories (and very full stomachs). Highly recommend touring with her!

It is totally worth the money and deserving of all the kudos it receives. I’ve enjoyed food tours in other countries and this is one of the best I’ve experienced. Do it earlier (maybe second day after you’re rested) in your time in Rome so you’ll have a better idea of where/what to eat during your stay.

This is the food tour that rivals all other food tours! You are treated to unique and amazing restaurants. Our guide was personable, knowledgeable and has a true passion for this company and for the local food establishments he treated us to. We could have easily spent all night with him. If you do this tour, and why wouldn't you, do not eat beforehand. We were so pleasantly full at the end that we could not honestly eat another bite or drink another amazing wine.

Our Rome Twilight Trastevere Food Tour was one of the highlights of our Italy trip! We took this tour as a family and absolutely loved every minute of it. The food was incredible, authentic, and perfectly chosen — from the pasta and supplì to the gelato and wine cellar experience.
