My husband & I had so much fun on this tour! We were able to walk through the Travestere neighborhood...drinking wine & eating great food. Each place we stopped (3 in total) was unique and came with its own stories. The group was smaller, so it didn't feel overwhelming. I would recommend this tour to anyone wanting to have a fun evening out!
Fun, relaxed and well paced. The tour gives a great intro to Roman food in this area. Highly recommended. Shima was an excellent guide with perfect English and a light hearted but professional manner.
Fun evening for sure! Craig was a great host. Trastevere is the best for food, great restaurants, and special people.
This was a pretty good food tour overall. Not the best we have been on, but still pretty good! There were 12 people in our group. Out first stop was in a pretty small spot with very little meat and cheese for each person. The wine was serves in small plastic cups. Stop two was outside. Stop 3 was the best - we had a 3 course meal with wine. Lastly was gelato, which was amazing. I do reccomend.
We had the most wonderful time! Our tour guide was Craig and he was amazing. He was knowledgeable about Rome, witty, and he provided a lot of interesting tidbits of information along the way. Our food stops were all small, local businesses where locals go to eat. And to top it off we meet the most wonderful people from Norway. Worth every penny!

We stopped at four places, wine included at the first three and gelato to end the tour. The third stop was a three course meal. Our group had so much fun. Not only with the food but experiencing a new part of Rome with a group of strangers that became friends. Marco was a great tour guide

The tour guide, Arvin, knew what he was talking about at every stage of the tour. What made him extra special was his ability to pull in all the people in the tour, open the doors of friendship with laughter and great pace. There were no frowns or disappointment. Everyone had a very good time.
We had the best food tour ever in Rome and with Rosalba. We spent 3 hours enjoying delicious courses with wine and learning about the intimate details of Roman food culture and history. Rosalba was so genuine and likeable, I was sad to say goodbye. She was like a friend hosting a party for dear friends. My husband and I equally enjoyed. I highly, highly recommend this tour and our wonderful tour guide Rosalba.

Avoid this experience ! The food at the ‘three course meal ‘ was terrible. Basically a slice of pork on plain toast followed by two pastas on the same plate (1 with pork 1 with cheese ) over salted and terrible , followed by pork ( again ) with cheese and potatoes described as ‘explode in your mouth’ it didn’t trust me . There was nothing nice or special about the meal at all . The two walking stops before were ok for a small one piece each taster of salamis and cheese and the next for a suppli . At the main restaurant we were taken to a small back room with an already large group seated . You couldn’t hear or speak to anyone in your group due to the noise of the other group . Our guide Rosalba was aware and had one quiet word with the other guide but did nothing more to help. Had it not been my granddaughters birthday I would have walked out. Clearly the restaurant dish up low quality food for the tour as plates we walked past going in looked high quality good food . Avoid this experienced booked via Viator with the Tour Guy. There are many others to choose from . We did another walking food tour the night before with Do Eat Better for a fraction of the price and the experience and the guide were excellent . I raised a complaint and request for partial refund with Viator which was refused . Be aware they don’t refund you only raise it with the tour operator who not surprisingly refuse any discount .
Take my advice and book elsewhere or just go out for a nice meal as at €152 for two people this tour is a joke .

Mario was an excellent guide. He told us about the food and some of the history for the area. The food was excellent which made for a great time.
This tour was excellent! Our tour guide, Mario, was knowledgeable, personable and fun! Food was superb and you get to experience the full spectrum of Italians’ love of food and socializing.
This was a great food tour. It included several stops with tasty regional foods. The walk was great; winding through town. We learned many things about the region and the food. The drinks were generous. The timing was perfect with no rushing. Great guide.
Two of the stops were standing outside and eating in the street. Food was great but my husband would have been more comfortable sitting.
Our guide Rose was knowledgeable and great. The stops were interesting. The food and wine were delicious!
Mario was very knowledgeable and friendly! He gave us many hints for finding good restaurants and filled us in on fun facts about Rome. Good food, good guide, good time! Worth the money!
Shima is the best!!!!!! The company was great, the food was wonderful, and she was even better. Definitely worth it if you want to explore Trastevere and finish your trip off with a full belly and full heart.
Sit down 3 course meal with wine was excellent, the other stops were more like standing street experience which was good. The guide was fun and knowledgeable! We were full and feeling great at the end. Definitely recommend this tour.

Disappointing, our guide did not know anything about the food or places we visited. We would have liked to know what was special about the food and why it was included in the tour. We have done many food tours (including other Italian cities) & this by far was the worst.

It was fine. We expected more variety of food and more Rome fusion with pizza and cheeses. The gelato seems a convenience rather than a spot of Rome we’d never experience

This is a fun way to try different foods and learn a little about the area. Sam did a nice job of explaining the different traditional food of Rome. Everyone in our group enjoyed the experience.
One of the best food tours I've ever been on! Michele was a GREAT host. Warm, friendly and very knowledgeable. We strolled around learning about history and culture of the foods and had plenty of food and wine to sample. Some of the best food we had in Rome and Michele gave us some great tips for the rest of our trip. Highly recommend!!
