What are people saying about Sistine Chapel

The sights were beautiful...
The sights were beautiful and the guide wasbreally king and informative, my favorite part was when the tour guide said Micheal Angelo was the first artist to sign his own sculpture. One thing I would have changed would to have been to see one of the popes burial areas while still with the guide, and also to have stayed in the Sistine Chapel for longer.

Day excursion to the Vatican
My wife and I recently stayed a couple of nights in Rome with friends prior to a cruise vacation. While there, we took an excursion to the Vatican booked through Viator. During our excursion, we saw the Vatican museums, the Sistine Chapel, and St Peters. The tour was for the four of us only and that was really intimate unlike the many that we saw with dozens of people. Our tour guide Alesio Zito was very knowledgeable and detailed. We enjoyed our visit and would recommend this tour highly.

Educational and fun
Really good tour with Sara. She did a great job of pointing out the highlights for us without being boring. Gave us enough history so things made sense and told us specific things to look for as we went around, like certain details in the Sistine chapel. Even our 18 year old thought it was interesting. All in all a great tour and definitely recommend it.

Our tour guides were...
Our tour guides were great and funny! The first guide who showed us Saint Peter’s Basilica talked a lot and went over the time so then the next guide for the Vatican and Sistine Chapel was rushed. But all in all it was great!

  • Seeing Michelangelo's frescoes can be unforgettable even for kids if seen as part of a small-group or kid-friendly Sistine Chapel and Vatican tour.

  • Because the chapel is a Catholic church with a dress code. Wear clothing that covers your shoulders and knees and maintain decorum by keeping your voice low.

  • Though photography (without flash) is permitted in the Vatican Museums, no photography is allowed in the Sistine Chapel.
