Very Informative Tour

We had the best tour guide. It was wonderful that Julianna was so knowledgeable and funny! She asked thought provoking questions and easily handled almost all of the questions thrown at her. There was only one question that stumped her asked by a knowledgeable teacher from the US named Sherrie. She asked “Why does Adam have a bellybutton if he was created?” She was referring to the paining of creation by Michelangelo.

Excellent Tour

I would highly recommend Crown Tours. Everyone we dealt with was friendly, helpful and professional. Prior to the tour they were in constant communication with me and provided me with detailed instructions. The check in process was easy and they supplied free beverages. I had my two granddaughters with me who needed to use the restroom prior to the tour, and they were very accommodating. Our tour guide was excellent and great with the children. Easy in and out, you pay a little more for 3rd party tickets, but if you don’t mind paying for the convenience it’s a good deal, met the person next to pantheon they used what’sapp to text tix to my phone, you get into the shorter quicker middle line with ppl who have purchased tickets, we did the audio guide which we downloaded to our phones

Thorough and Passionate Vatican City Tour

Christina was superb as our Tour “Guy”. Her knowledge and passion for oral history was extensive and given in such a way that was captivating and kept our attention. She was patient with the older tourists and ensured everyone was fairing well as we went along. She was better than any history teacher ever!

Early morning but worth it!

Just know that “ skip the line” only means you bypass the general public line. You still wait about an half hour outside in line with your group before gaining entry. Also know there are 2 coffee shops( 1 either direction) of the initial meeting point. Our guide Lucia was amazing. Not only was she humorous but her knowledge of the Vatican history was solid. She knew where to take us at what point so we avoided some of the crowds early on. It is a lot of stairs and walking so just be prepared and take water with you. It is an incredible place and Lucia never let up for 3 + hours, and always kept tabs on us despite the huge crowds in the Sistine chapel and the Basilica.

Ask for Dr. Paula!

Paula is an awesome tour guide! Her incredible knowledge of the history and the site, peppered with her humor and great stories, made for a really great tour. Paula also knew all the work arounds to get us to entrances so that we would not have to stand in long lines and she walked a reverse path to keep us mainly going down hill at a comfortable pace. I would definitely tour with her again and certainly recommend her to anyone who is looking to tour in Rome.

Great Intro to Rome

While the earpieces used for this excursion were a bit iffy, the tour itself was fantastic! The guide had a lot of interesting little fun facts that you probably wouldn’t find in history books. It was a great intro to the main historical area. I’m glad we did it on our first day so that we could come back to things later on for a more in depth look. Oh, and the stop for legit gelato was perfect!!

Great way to explore the Pantheon

This tour gives you the history of the Pantheon both structure and function. Silvio is a fabulous guide and is knowledgeable in both areas. He is very passionate about the subject and kept the groups attention with information and anecdotes throughout the tour. Excellent tour and guide!

Try to get the earliest possible time to book the Vatican tour, plus skip the line is simply the best. Don’t get caught up with taking pictures. Be present to see the most beautiful frescos in the world. The basilica.is also a must too. One of the most moving and breathtaking days EVER.
