Inës was the very best guide. It’s always a little risky and nerve wracking to book a tour of any kind from overseas, but the Picta travel team was always so timely with their communications, offered really helpful tips and alternatives, and put our minds at ease. Inës messaged us the night before our tour and arrived promptly on time the following morning. She is so knowledgeable about the Sintra region and provided excellent context on the overall history of Portugal, which helped us understand the historic sites we visited in greater depth. We wished it wasn’t raining on the day, but even with the weather - Inës made our trip so fun and informative. Thank you again, of course we highly recommend Inës and Picta to anyone visiting Sintra. It’s so so worth it (especially since with Inës, we didn’t have to struggle with bus routes, train timetables, etc). Also : NORTADA is amazing and makes the perfect lunch break. Where to begin? Communication from Viator prior to the tour was excellent! It even included a photo of the entrance point for the pickup location. Oliver was our tour guide. He was knowledgeable, fun, and a great driver! (We were impressed with how courteous he was to other drivers and pedestrians.) Our 2 hours flew by! We saw many fun sites from beautiful lookout points and churches to backstreet neighborhoods. All of it was much more meaningful with Oliver's ongoing narrative. The tour was a perfect overview for us! Since we are both in our late 70's, this tour allowed us to see more of Lisbon than we ever would have on our own.

Sintra is sensational

Our guide, Hugo, picked our group of 7 up at our meeting spot on time and drove us to Sintra. He explained some sights in Lisbon as we passed them and explained what we would be seeing in Sintra and how our day would go. He walked slowly up the hill to Pena Palace, stopping to tell us about the trees as we walked. He always made sure he found shade for us as he gave us information. He gave us just enough free time to see extra places around the palace. We never felt rushed, and his answered every question we had. Hugo absolutely made the tour a wonderful and memorable experience. We would highly recommend him and his company.

Highly recommended day trip with an exceptional tour guide

This day trip was nothing short of perfection. It was carefully planned out and very professionally executed by our guide, Filipe. From the moment he picked us at our meeting spot until the very end of the day, he was patient to accommodate the different ages of the people in our group. He is super knowledgeable about Portugal's history and constantly gave us plenty of information about the places we visited. He shared recommendations about other places to visit. We learnt so much with him! Even our teenager (who's usually not very fond of these tours) found the day super interesting. Filipe's a real gentleman and we highly recommend working with him.

A picturesque trip with a great tour guide!

Overall this was a great day trip! Thanks to our tour guide, Laura, who was fantastic, providing lots of information in clear English. The visits include some good walking so be prepared for an exciting tour that in moments you need to adjust at your own pace. The visit to Cascais, at the end of the trip, was also mostly interesting and we had a great lunch!! I also suggest that you stay a couple more hours in cascais to relax and get the suburban train back to Lisbon. Many thanks to Laura for this great experience!!

Such a beautiful cruise I'll never forget :)

This was the best cruise I've ever been on! The boat was beautiful, the staff made sure to speak to everyone and make sure their glasses were filled. The music really matched the beauty of the scenery as we watched the sunset. I was there for my mum's birthday but almost everyone else was a couple, I didn't feel out of place though. I'd happily recommend this tour to anyone :)

Overall it was an excellent trip. Diego and the driver were great and we throughly enjoyed. Regarding the meeting place after the trip is complete, I would suggest some pictures and potential times are shared Sat via WA or messages. We could manage but had to guess.
