Beautiful locations on a nice sunny day.

Perfectly beautiful day for this tour, and our tour guide ‘Jo an’ was the best. Not sure I’m spelling his name correctly, but our guide absolutely made this tour, he was so personable and informative and also relayed many legends. The locations we visited are lush green, absolutely beautiful, and the ocean with the basalt formations also so beautiful. Our transportation was by electric van, very nice, and the lunch very enjoyable.

Wonderful whale watching trip

This was so easy to book so easy to get to in such a pleasant experience. I took the larger boat option which still had probably less than 50 people on it rather than the catamaran. We got close to the whales and saw several, but the cabins were able to get much much closer. Even more fun than the whales were the Atlantic dolphins who played in our wake on the way back after to shore. All of the guides and people involved in taking care of us and showing us the whales were wonderful friendly professional. I really enjoyed this trip and highly recommended it.

Great tour despite the rain!

Roy was an excellent guide for our party of eight. He was prompt and courteous and did not let the poor weather deter us. He was very energetic and knowledgeable about the area and he was a very safe driver. The tea plantation and the Traditional Furnas stew at lunch were highlights along with a windy and sunny view from the first viewpoint. We did do the Furnas hot springs in the rain which was fun but we forgot a towel. The Caldeiras in Furnas in the rain were spooky. The Caloura harbor was spectacular with the high waves. Highly recommend this outing as an initial introduction to Sao Miguel.

Wonderful tour for multi generations!

We absolutely loved our tour. We are a family of elderly parents and 2 middle-aged daughters visiting Sao Miguel for the first time. This tour was a perfect way to start our week. Lana and Dahlila were amazing guides! Lana shared so much history and culture to give us the lay of the land. Her local insights will be valuable throughout our stay - locating the farmer’s market, restaurants and shops to return to, points of interest on the island, etc. Dahlilah ensured that each stop was ready for us and prepared to share their many excellent dishes and drinks. We loved this tour - thank you!

How to spend your day on the island

This was a wonderful way to see a little piece of the island. Júlio, our tour guide was wonderful. He was attentive and kept us on track to be sure we got to see everything on the list. Highly recommend and if you get Júlio as your guide, even better.

Fantastic day of beautiful scenery, excellent food and drink, and wonderful company

We had an absolutely wonderful day with Jose Miguel as our fantastic tour guide. Jose is so knowledgeable about the island, having grown up here and raised his children here. He took us to so many beautiful locations, with such a diversity in geography and interests. The short hikes were perfect, the food at the lunch restaurant was delicious and abundant, the breakfast pastry shop was really yummy, and most of all the views were amazing! We had lovely co-tourists and really got to know the whole island so well. You should definitely do this tour!

Amazing tour with an amazing guide!

We took a four wheeler and had an amazing time. It was the biggest the roads on the island felt for us since we got here. Our guide was one of the most patient kind people you could ever find and had great information at the stops. We would absolutely do this again except this time I think we would do the full day tour.

Went with my brother for...

Went with my brother for his 50th birthday. We had a blast. Due to some no shows we basically had a private tour so that made it extra special. The guides themselves Thomas and Alberto (I think) were the stars. So friendly and warm like they were our buddies just having a blast in nature. Two thumbs up for sure. Just know the physical requirements before booking.

Exciting, fun excursion

Mr Miguel was a fountain of interesting information with historical context. I’ve never known a guy who could answer every question in detail. We stopped at several places with gorgeous vistas and the beautiful botanical garden. The volcanic pools were particularly interesting and quite aromatic 😖.

Tomás was such a sweet and great host throughout the tuktuk experience. My parents loved the experience he had planned and all the areas we explored throughout Ponta Delgada and some parts of Lagoa. Highly recommend to do this on arrival day, it’s a great way to get out and see the surroundings with a local who has pride in his origins and is eager to share it with us. Full adventure

Had a great time on this tour. Gorgeous views up close and personal with Sete Cidades. Plenty of opportunities to switch drivers if multiple people in one vehicle are of age. The only thing I would do differently is book a taxi back to my hotel as I did not have a rental ahead of time. The owners / tour guides were kind enough to call a taxi service for us, as service on my phone was non-existent at the meeting point.
