Great addition to Porto trip

We had a very pleasant experience with Miguel and the magnificent landscape he showed us. My kids also had a great time. Every part of the day trip was unique and memorable in its own special way. Our guide, Miguel, was great: professional, informative and caring about the guests and the landscape he was showing us. I’d definitely recommend this tour if you are visiting Porto for a few days. You won’t regret it.

Don't miss this touring excursion...

Fabulous excursion. Very comfortable, Mercedes van. The driver was incredibly friendly and informative. The Douro River valley is spectacular and this tour was a fun way to meet people from other parts of the world. The boat ride on the Douro River included wine, snacks and and entertaining, "pirate" host commentary. The Foz family winery was beautiful and the wine tasting was exceptional... we're shipping two wine varieties and olive oil back home! Our last stop included an amazing alfresco lunch with more delicious wines and incredible food. This is a "not to be missed" tour!

Great day out

This is a wonderful day out. From start to finish , our excellent guide/driver, Carlos Daniel provided us with expert knowledge of the wines of the Douro valley and kept us amused with his anecdotes.He was very kind and charming and made sure that the group from various countries gelled.The tour was well organised and my request for a gluten free meal was well catered for by the winery where we had lunch.The staff at both wineries were lovely and knowlegable and we learnt a lot about the wine of the region. The scenery en route was spectacular and Carlos Daniel made sure that everyone had perfect photos to remind them of this trip.The small group made for a very comfortable and calm experience . The communication with the team was excellent .Definitely would recommend this tour.

Our tuktuk tour in Porto was amazing. Our guide was friendly and taught us so much about Porto. We just arrived in Portugal that day and it was a wonderful way to explore some of the popular and less popular places to see and experience in Porto. At the end, she dropped us off in a lesser known area in Gaia that she suggested for dinner. The fresh fish was delicious.

Worth the drive for the view!

This was a great day. Beautiful scenery. Our driver Riccardo was such a seasoned guide and so charming. It was just long enough to visit 1 winery if you are not a drinker. The drive is about 2 hours from Porto and just make sure you can handle the winding roads. One guest had a hard time.

This tour was amazing! We’re so glad we chose the early morning tour instead of the afternoon. Our tour guide, Miguel, was incredibly friendly, thoughtful, and accommodating, making the experience even more enjoyable. By far the best Duoro River experience I could have imagined!

As we traveled the Douro with our wonderful crew, we all commented how lucky we were to be on this small group cruise, drinking port and eating snacks, and not on one of the very crowded bigger boats we passed. With plenty of room to wander and glasses that never emptied, our hosts educated us on all things Port and Porto and it made for the most wonderful afternoon! I cannot recommend this experience enough!

A tasty introduction to Porto

Excellent food tasting tour of Porto. Our small group of 9 from the UK and USA were introduced to the food of Porto and what makes it such an awesome city to visit. We first went to a small local restaurant for green bean soup, bifana, and some cod croquettes. Accompanied by a glass of vinho verde. Delicious. Then we went for a Ginja - cherry liquor served in a chocolate cup. Purchased a few souvenirs in there. Next was Pastel de Nata and espresso in a coffee shop. You have to have a pastel de Nata when you visit Porto. So tasty. After that we visited a locally run shop serving wines, ports, spices, cheese and meats. Here we had a charcuterie board with meats, sardines, goats cheese, cheese, olives, bread, crackers, figs stuffed with walnuts, crackers. Wow. The sardines were so tasty we bought a few tins. Last stop was another locally run shop for port and dark chocolate. A brilliant way to spend 3 hours in Porto. A huge thank you to Helena our guide.
