Our guide was amazing!! Our tour was from 8AM to 11AM before our cruise departure. Our guide took us to many tourist favorite points of interest, the “must see” in such a short time in Lisbon. My husband and I enjoyed an excellent tour of the Pena Palace, Sintra, Cascais with Bernardo. It was a great small group tour and Bernando was very knowledgeable about Portuguese history and lovely to have a chat to. We learned a lot and had enough time to explore and enjoy some free time in each area too. I would highly recommend this tour and would go again during a visit to Lisbon!

She brought the perfect energy to the small group, sharing captivating stories about the valley's rich culture and winemaking traditions. Complementing her perfectly was our driver, Andre, who expertly and safely navigated the steep, winding roads of the Douro. We felt entirely comfortable and secure the whole day, allowing us to just relax and soak in the views. * Quinta do Beijo ("The Kiss Winery"): This family-owned estate was a massive highlight. Visiting Quinta do Beijo felt deeply personal. Walking through their historic grounds and tasting their exceptional Ports and table wines while learning about generations of family passion was an unforgettable experience. * Adega Cooperativa de Sabrosa: Stopping at the Adega Cooperativa de Sabrosa provided a brilliant and unique contrast. It gave us an eye-opening look into how local independent growers collaborate in the region. Sampling their excellent regional wines was a fantastic experience that you just wouldn't get on a standard, cookie-cutter tour. * Incredible Traditional Lunch: The lunch stop was an absolute feast of authentic Portuguese flavors! We were treated to a phenomenal spread that included fresh soup, salad, traditional codfish, pork, and flavorful regional sausages. It was incredibly delicious, hearty, and served with true local hospitality. * The Relaxing River Cruise: The inclusion of a traditional river boat cruise was great. Gliding along the water and looking up at the dramatic, terraced vineyards rising straight from the riverbank gave us a completely different, peaceful perspective of the breathtaking scenery. Highly recommend this tour!

Kriszti was absolutely amazing! She brought great energy and was so knowledgeable about the area. She took us around to local family owned restaurants and the food and service was spectacular. If you’re looking for a way to explore lisbon while also trying great local foods, I highly recommend booking with eating europe. I met a few ladies the day after that went on a separate eating europe food tour and they had wonderful things to say as well!

Our Favorite Day of a Two-Week Trip

My friend and I travelled Portugal for 2 weeks, and I'd say this day was our absolute favorite in every way. It was so well organized and chock full of one surprise after the next--a stop to explore a small town on the way to the winery, the river cruise, the gorgeous scenery that made the bus trip go by quickly. The winery itself put on a delicious and substantial lunch, educational demo, and the new friends we met that day were a blast. This was such a value as we look back on the day. Can't say enough!

An Incredible Day...

An Incredible Day Exploring Sintra, Pena Palace, Quinta da Regaleira, Cabo da Roca, and Cascais! We had an incredible time on this tour! Our guide, Mike, was very knowledgeable and did an excellent job explaining what to expect throughout the day. He was clear about the itinerary and helped us understand how the day would unfold, which made the experience much more enjoyable. A few tips for anyone planning to book this tour: Meeting point: It can be a little chaotic because there are so many people gathering for different tours. Don't worry! Just find one of the tour guides near Starbucks, give them your name, and they will direct you to the correct guide. Be prepared to walk! The bus can only get so close to many of the attractions, so expect a fair amount of walking. Wear comfortable shoes and be ready to explore. Pena Palace was beautiful, with breathtaking scenery and incredible photo opportunities. The views are spectacular, and the pictures came out outstanding. Quinta da Regaleira was another highlight. The walk through the grounds was beautiful, with so much to see along the way and plenty of opportunities for photography. Take your time to appreciate the surroundings. Cabo da Roca was beautiful, but keep in mind that this is a fairly quick stop, with only a few minutes to take photos and enjoy the views. Cascais is where I have an important recommendation. You get approximately an hour and a half there at the end of the tour. Knowing this ahead of time, we decided to stay in Cascais and make our own way back to Lisbon by train. It was very simple, with just a few stops back to Lisbon. I highly recommend considering this option if you want more time to enjoy Cascais. By the time you sit down for a meal, you may find that there isn't enough time left to explore the town and do some shopping before the group departs. Staying behind gave us the flexibility to enjoy Cascais at our own pace rather than feeling rushed. Overall, this was a fantastic day filled with beautiful scenery, memorable sights, and great experiences. Mike was a knowledgeable guide, and the tour was an excellent way to see several of Portugal's most beautiful destinations in one day. I highly recommend this tour! Just wear comfortable shoes, know what to expect at each stop, and seriously consider staying in Cascais a little longer if your schedule allows. You won't regret it!

Fun driving through Lisbon streets
