This tour includes two hours on the water following the whales, and a quick 15 minute peek at the Mendenhall Glacier. It is just enough time to step off the bus, take a quick picture, and then head back downtown for the rest of your Alaska adventure! This tour is recommended for those who want to see the glacier, but don't want to spend too much time exploring the surrounding recreation area. On this tour, you will take one of the tour buses from downtown Juneau on a 20-minute, narrated tour through Juneau and Mendenhall Valley to Auke Bay. In Auke Bay you will board one of the boats and head out on a 2-hour whale watching experience. Upon returning to the harbor you will be escorted back to the bus for a quick trip inland to Mendenhall Glacier. You will have 15 minutes to get out and take a quick picture, and then get back on the bus for your next adventure in Juneau.

Best Tour Ever!!!

This was the most amazing tour i have ever been on. We saw over 35 whales. We even witnessed them bubble net feeding . The tour guides were amazing. Very knowledgeable about the whales. As a travel agent I will definitely be recommending to friends, family, and clients.

Don't look any further. This is THE whale watching excursion you want to book! The check in and pick up was extremely easy. The ride to and from the harbor was comfortable with excellent, informative local info about Juneau. Once we arrived at the dock we boarded the boat. The boat is extremely unique in that you can walk 360 degrees around the entire vessel. This made whale watching very easy and accessible for all on board. This small group size was perfect for that individual attention that really made this tour stand out. We learned a lot about the whales we were about to see enroute to the viewing area. We got amazing views of humpbacks with excellent picture opportunities. We then were able to track down some orcas and get some great views of them as well. To top it all off, we ended with a picturesque viewing of Mendenhall glacier. The crew even invited each group out and took a picture for us with our cameras. Water was provided and there was a restroom on board of needed. If you plan to spend time in downtown after the excursion the driver made 2 stops in town to drop those off that wanted to get out before heading back to the meeting point. Overall, this was the highlight of our cruise so far and would not hesitate to book this excursion again.

Great experience!

The staff were all professional, incredibly knowledgeable, funny, kind, and eager to make this a great experience. We were so fortunate to be able to see several whales. Beautiful backdrop with glaciers in the distance. Not even worth going with any other tour to see whales, this is the one you’re looking for. This is a must if you’re in the area.
